We explore these questions, and how the key to innovation is ideation, in our first Slideshare presentation!

This book will provide you with new tools, skills,

uncertainty in order to design a better business.
We’ve included tons of real-world examples of
people who have mastered the fundamentals of
design, as well as case studies of companies that
have created change using design as the under-

design is a repeatable process, this book is meant
not only to guide you on your design journey, but
also to provide an ongoing reference to help you
scale the design beyond one project or product

"A brand’s site is the face of a company; the go-to place where potential customers and investors go to learn more about the brand, the team, and the service or product you are offering. Getting venture capital funding for your startup can be
a roller coaster ride. The last thing you need to be worried about is whether your
site is making your company look small and unimpressive.
Before you take your pitch before investors, make sure that you’ve considered these key elements of your site to ensure you are setting up your company for success." by Uptrending

How to Make Data Make Sense: Choosing the Right VisualizationAtomic Object
Presented by Rachael Miller at the 2017 Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference
Where words and numbers fail, visualizations can make dense technical information decipherable. We use graphs, images, diagrams, et cetera to understand our data, to explain our points to others, and to attempt to grasp the significance and implications of all of the masses of data that we generate. Those enormous quantities of data tend to have more than two interesting dimensions, so why are we still looking from line graph to line graph to try and unravel the mysteries of complex systems?
We'll be talking about how visualization channels affect viewers' understanding of data, how to take advantage of multidimensional visualizations for multidimensional data, and how to choose the right input and output systems to demonstrate your findings to others. Learn how to make your data make sense!
As technologists, we live at the front lines of a rapidly changing world. No industry or realm of human interaction is isolated from the impact of powerful, cheap computing, vast storage, and ubiquitous networks. Innovation is exciting, but it can also be destabilizing and disrupting. Talent has never been in more demand, or shorter supply. Traditional business models are being attacked by startups. For incumbents, like universities, the challenge of these times includes recruiting and retaining the talent necessary to innovate from within. I believe software craftsmanship is a theme around which a competitive advantage can be built.
High-fidelity, carefully-annotated wireframes and design mockups are brittle and time-consuming to manage, often requiring expensive software and specialized skill to create and maintain.
In this talk, Brittany will share case studies of how poly-skilled product teams of designers and developers at Atomic Object share tasks and collaborate on UX, focus on the user, and iterate on design quickly by using low-fidelity sketches, storyboards, and mockups. She will share techniques for creating flexible, easily-managed design artifacts, as well as discuss the benefits and caveats of these techniques.
RubyMotion transports the dynamic language ethos and Ruby language to iOS all at once. The language is flexible and dynamic. Instead of in dialogs, configuration happens in a text file using a simple internal Ruby DSL. Apps running in the simulator include a REPL for code evaluation. There’s even a built-in way to click on object in an app for dynamic introspection and manipulation. In this talk, we’ll introduce RubyMotion, the platform’s development tools and workflow, and third-party libraries that push the state of the art in iOS developer tools. We’ll show some example apps and reflect on experiences building real-world production apps in Ruby.
Over the last 10 years, Atomic Object has grown from 7 to 43 employees. Here are a few ways we build connections between team members and keep our culture strong.
Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
