9. ● I work primarily with startups
● Startups are not small versions of
regular companies
● The Startup Buddy is build using
principles from:
○ The Startup Owner’s Manual, 2012 by Steve Blank and
Bob Dorf
○ The Lean Startup, 2011 by Eric Ries
My perspective
10. Definition of startup
“A temporary organization in search
of a scalable, repeatable, profitable
business model. At the outset, the
startup business model is a canvas
covered with ideas and guesses, but
it has no customers and minimal
customer knowledge”
The Startup Owner’s Manual, 2012 by Steve Blank and Bob Dorf

11. MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
“Unlike a prototype or concept test,
an MVP is designed not just to
answer product design or technical
questions. Its goal is to test
fundamental business hypotheses.”
The Lean Startup 2011 by Eric Ries

12. Product - market fit
“Product/market fit means being in a
good market with a product that can
satisfy that market”
Marc Andreesen interview for Stanford University, 2007
