THE PRIVATE CLOUD - WHAT IS IT
AND WHY USE IT?

M-Theory Group in Los Angeles. In this role, Chant Vartanian assists
businesses with consulting services and technology infrastructure,
including cloud-based services.
Private cloud services offer the same scalability and self-service offered
by public cloud services, but private clouds do so for a smaller number of
clients from behind a firewall. This reduces security concerns that some
organizations have about the cloud.
Another advantage of the private cloud is that businesses have direct
control of their data. While some companies can get by with the public
cloud, the shared computing environment of the public cloud isn’t
conducive to all businesses, particularly those with uptime requirements
or mission-critical workloads.
Private cloud services are ideal for companies with changing computing
needs and those that require control of their computing environment.
Other businesses find that the best strategy for their computing needs is
to adopt a hybrid public and private cloud deployment. This approach
allows them to make use of cloud bursting, which entails using the public
cloud when demand for services increases beyond the capacity of the
private cloud.
