Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino gave a presentation at the Singularity University Italy Summit about the next 5 years of connected experiences. She discussed how city life has progressed over the past 100 years due to electricity and computing, but this has led to buying things that are quickly replaced and increasing communal debt and environmental impact. Moving forward, there will need to be a radical change in perspective to more sustainable habits as everything becomes more connected. Individual actions like changing habits and saving for green home upgrades, as well as government help, will be important to address the big communal problems that may arise from increased connectivity.
