Otto Skorzeny was a famous German soldier during World War II known as "The Most Dangerous Man in Europe". He played an important role in the German invasion of Austria and Poland. Skorzeny is best known for leading a daring mission to rescue Italian dictator Benito Mussolini after he was deposed. Later in the war, Skorzeny kidnapped the son of the Hungarian regent to force a change in government. After the war, Skorzeny helped establish escape routes for Nazis known as "ratlines" and advised several governments before dying of cancer in 1975.
