2.  For over a decade, Dr. Franklin Epstein has served as
chief of the division of neurosurgery at Audie L.
Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
A graduate of MIT and NYU School of Medicine, Dr.
Franklin Epstein stays connected to his alma maters
through his involvement in the schools’ alumni
associations.
Each year, the MIT Alumni Association holds its Alumni
Leadership Conference on the campus of MIT.
Hundreds of former MIT students attend the annual
event for two days of presentations, brainstorming
sessions, and networking events focused on
developing future plans for the school.

3.  The conference also gives the MIT Alumni Association
the chance to honor the important contributions of
MIT volunteers during the Leadership Awards
Celebration, which is held on the second day of the
conference. Nearly two dozen alumni were
recognized at the 2014 event, including Sandra Gay
Yulke, who received the MIT Alumni Association’s
highest honor, the Bronze Beaver Award.
The Next Alumni Leadership Conference will take
place September 25-26, 2015. More information
