2. John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward
him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away
the sin of the world!
3. Leviticus 23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The
feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, these are My feasts.
Convocation: (mik-raw) – holy preparation or
rehearsal, prepare for a public performance
4. Jesus fulfilled the first four feasts:
Passover
Feast of Unleavened Bread
Feast of Firstfruits
Pentecost- Feast of Weeks
5. Jesus entered Jerusalem 4 days before
Passover
- was found without spot or blemish
At 9 am Jesus was hung on the cross
6. The Divine Exchange of the Cross:
Our sins are transferred to the lamb
The innocence of the lamb is transferred to us
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law,
having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is
everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of
Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus,
that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through
faith.
7. Ezekiel 18:2 The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
And the children’s teeth are set on edge’?
3 “As I live,” says the Lord God, “you shall no longer use this
proverb in Israel.”
John 19:28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now
accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they
filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His
mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said,
“It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
8. After the last lamb is killed at 3pm during the Passover
Feast- The priest declares “It is finished”
Because blood has been shed:
All of our sins are forgiven
All debts have been paid
You are redeemed
Jesus declares “It is finished” and gives up His Spirit at
exactly 3pm
9. John 20 Now on the first day of the week Mary
Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still
dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away
from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon
Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved,
and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord
out of the tomb, and we do not know where they
have laid Him.” 3 Peter therefore went out, and the
other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So
they both ran together, and the other disciple
outran Peter and came to the tomb first.
10. John 20:5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw
the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then
Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the
tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the
handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying
with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by
itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb
first, went in also; and he saw and believed.
11. 11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and
as she wept she stooped down and looked into the
tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one
at the head and the other at the feet, where the body
of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman,
why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my
Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
12.
13. John 20:14 Now when she had said this, she turned
around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know
that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why
are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him,
“Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You
have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to Him,[a] “Rabboni!” (which is
to say, Teacher).
14. John 20:17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me,
for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to
My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My
Father and your Father, and to My God and your
God.’”
15. Feast of Firstfruits:
Leviticus 23:10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to
them: ‘When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap
its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your
harvest to the priest. 11 He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord,
to be accepted on your behalf
1 Cor 15:20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has
become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For
since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of
the dead.
16. John 20:19 Then, the same day at evening, being
the first day of the week, when the doors were shut
where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the
Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to
them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said
this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then
the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
The more clearly you see Jesus’ finished work, the
more Peace (Shalom) and joy you will have!
17. Hebrews 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered
one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right
hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His
enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one
offering He has perfected forever those who are being
sanctified.
18. Hebrews 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will
make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will
put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will
write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their
lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
19. Jesus came for one purpose – to die for our sins
He was the lamb of God – our substitute
When Jesus looks at you – He sees the blood of Jesus
He took all of our sins, spots, blemishes
We get to enjoy His Righteousness, His Blessings, His
Divine Health, His Favor, His Power
20. 1 Cor 11:23 The Lord Jesus on the same night in
which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He
had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is
My body which is broken for you; do this in
remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also
took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new
covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this
cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
21. Psalm 105:37
“He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and
there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”
