The document discusses how to pray powerful prayers in the name of Jesus. It teaches that God is eager to give us what we ask for through prayer. When we pray, we should focus on God rather than on ourselves. The Bible promises that God will answer our prayers and give us good gifts if we ask in Jesus' name. Elijah is given as an example of someone who prayed earnestly and saw God answer his prayers by sending and ending a drought. We are encouraged not to worry when we pray but to remember that God freely and generously gives us all things if we ask.

How to Pray Powerful Prayers in Jesus' Name
1. How to Pray Powerful
Prayers In the Miracle
Working Name of Jesus
2. Religious teaching has put up so many obstacles to
prayer that most people give up praying.
Many people don’t take their places as sons and
heirs because they don’t “feel worthy” or “don’t
know how to pray.”
The focus should be on The One we are praying to,
rather than the one doing the prayer.
3. One of the most staggering promises of the New
Covenant.
John 16:23… Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name,
he will give it you.
24… ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full…
4. Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the
heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much
speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come,Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven.
5. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he
give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven
give good things to them that ask him?
6. Romans 8:32 (KJV) He that spared not his own Son, but
delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely
give us all things?
God is so eager to give! There is not need to stress,
struggle and sweat when all we have to do is ask.
7. James 5:16-18 The effective, fervent (energeo – Strong’s 1754
– to be active) prayer of a righteous man avails much (poly ischuo
– Strongs 2480 – I am strong, able). 17 Elijah was a man with a
nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain;
and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth
produced its fruit.
8. James 5:17 (AMP) Elijah was a human being with a nature
such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like
ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell
on the earth for three years and six months.
18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and
the land produced its crops [as usual].
9. What is earnest prayer vs. prayer?
1 Kings 17:1 “And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead,
said to Ahab,“As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I
stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my
word.”
10. 1 Kings 18:36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of
the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said,
“Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day
thatYou are God in Israel and I amYour servant, and that I have
done all these things atYour word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me,
that this people may know thatYou are the Lord God, and that
You have turned their hearts back toYou again.”
11. 1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the
burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it
licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 Now when all the
people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said,“The Lord, He
is God! The Lord, He is God!”
40 And Elijah said to them,“Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not
let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought
them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.
12. 1 Kings 18:41 Then Elijah said to Ahab,“Go up, eat and drink;
for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” 42 So Ahab went up
to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then
he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his
knees, 43 and said to his servant,“Go up now, look toward the
sea.”
So he went up and looked, and said,“There is nothing.” And seven
times he said,“Go again.”
44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said,“There is
a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!”
13. Why does it say Elijah had “like passions?”
1 Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done,
also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,“So let the gods
do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of
one of them by tomorrow about this time.”
14. 1 Kings 19:3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his
life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his
servant there.
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and
came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he
might die, and said,“It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am
no better than my fathers!”
15. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask (present,
imperative, active) of God, who gives (present, active tense) to all
liberally (generously, holding nothing back) and without reproach
(without finding fault), and it will be given to him.
16. God is eager to give!
When we ask, our Father constantly gives
abundantly and freely!
We don’t need to stress, struggle and strive when
all we have to do is ask.
John 16:23… Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name,
he will give it you.
24… ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full…
