2. Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things
to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with
those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually
make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered?
because that the worshippers once purged should have had
no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made
of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats
should take away sins.
3. Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the
world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a
body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no
pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is
written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt
offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst
pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
4. Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O
God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the
second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of
the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away
sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for
ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
5. Hebrews 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies
be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that
are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after
that he had said before,
6. Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with
them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into
their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more
offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus,
7. Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath
consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of
faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and
our bodies washed with pure water.
8. Isaiah 54: 9 “For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10
For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
10. 1 Cor 15:56 “the strength of sin is the law”
The law actually strengthens the dominance of sin in your life.
11. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall
no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the
knowledge of sin.
Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence
might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more
abound.
12. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for
ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- When you are under grace, sin loses its power to control
you. Grace frees you because grace is Jesus Himself.
13. Luke 7:40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have
somewhat to say unto thee.And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the
one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave
them both.Tell me therefore, which of them will love him
most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he
forgave most.And he said unto him,Thou hast rightly judged.
14. Luke 7:44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto
Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house,
thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my
feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I
came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman
hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are
forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven,
the same loveth little.
15. 2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus
Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us
through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ…
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue;
and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance
patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness charity.
16. 2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they
make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar
off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
