Editor's Notes
During World War II, when it seemed clear that the Philippines were doomed, the Allied Forces decided that General Douglas Mac Arthur was too valuable to the cause to be captured. On orders of President Franklin D. Roosevelt he left Corregidor with his family and staff on the night of March 11, 1942 for Australia. Shortly after he arrived in Australia, General Mac Arthur made a promise, “I shall return.”
On October 20, 1944 he kept his promise and once again stepped on Philippine soil.
“People of the Philippines, I have returned,” the general began, his hands shaking and his voice quavering with emotion. “By the grace of Almighty God our forces stand again on Philippine soil... The hour of your redemption is here.”
Almost 2,000 years before Mac Arthur made his promise to return, Jesus made the same promise to His disciples. He said,

There are several theories on how Jesus will return to earth. What will happen?
Who will He take, and who will be left behind?
Books have been written,
movies have been produced.
But do they accurately portray what the Bible teaches about Christ’s return? Let’s go to our study and learn about

After His resurrection Jesus spent time teaching and giving the disciples assurance. When His work was finished,
He ascended into the air from Mount Olives, and a cloud of angels received Him.
He will come back in the same way: from the sky, in a cloud of angels.

Jesus’ coming will not be silent, private, or secret. He will come with great glory (brightness), “with all the holy angels” (over 100 million, see Revelation 5:11 and Matthew 25:31), and noise (shouts and sound of a trumpet).
The sky will be lit up with such brilliance it will make the most spectacular fire works display seem like a single match. The whole world will know when He comes; “every eye will see Him.”

There will be unmistakable evidence in the sky and the earth.

Jesus gave us signs to indicate when His return would be near. He did this so we would be prepared and ready. If we study His word, we will be in the “light.” But if we are not students of the Word, we will be in darkness. Only to those who are in darkness, who “will not watch” does Jesus come unexpectedly; as a thief.”

My friend, Jesus won’t come secretly. Don’t believe what you hear about a secret rapture. It is not Biblical. Don’t believe what you hear about 7 years of tribulation followed by a second chance. Know what your Bible says!
When Jesus comes, He comes for everyone, and gives to each his/her reward.
