Kimberly Mariano gets married to Bruce Platz in a ceremony at the family home. Generation 2 members are catching up in their careers and families, with some having affairs or secrets. Spencer becomes an elder and passes on the heirloom to Kimberly. Kimberly and Bruce go on a honeymoon at a downtown hotel before returning home to start their family.

1. Howdy! Welcome back to the Mariano legacy. As you can probably tell from the picture, someone’s about to get
married….Kimberly to be precise. The last time we were in Retroville, Generation 3 was in college. They spent one
semester in the dorms before joining the family Greek house, Lambda Pi Cham. Kimberly found the love of her life by
choosing a random number in the white pages, and Michael continued on his fifty dream date aspiration by dating two
women at once. The whole crew, including Beverly the placeholder, went on a mini vacation at Twikki Island, where
Bruce proposed to Kimberly on the beach. Kimberly was chosen as heir, and the rest of their time at college was spent
studying, bowling and partying it up. Before we go on with the show, I would like to catch you up on what Generation 2
is doing…

2. Betty and her husband Professor Gerard settled nicely into their new home, and even bought a black convertible
compliments of Motherlode Savings and Loans. Making out in the car became one of their past times, next to being a
part of the free love movement.

3. Free love movement indeed. Gerard definitely didn’t mind the fact that his wife had more visitors than he did, just as
long as he could be friends with them too.

4. A few years later, Betty got pregnant with Sally. She was a huge surprise for the couple since they discussed that they
would prefer not to have children. But Betty got careless with one of her visitors one night, and got pregnant anyways.
Betty told Gerard that Sally was his to avoid an argument, and she hopes that it will never come out that his best
friend Travis was actually the father.

5. Gene and Meadow are truly animal lovers. They decided to become breeders in their spare time, and hope to
successfully raise 20 puppies in their lifetime. Gene went into Law while Meadow decided to pursue a career in
Politics. They continue to make themselves busy, especially with the new additions in the family.

6. And here is their brood of doggies so far (yes I am really going to try to have them raise 20 puppies! I am crazy!)
Debbie (white), Chuck (brown), Tidlee (the collie), and Shayla (the poodle). Gene and meadow loves them dearly, and
can’t wait for Shayla to deliver her first litter of puppies.

7. Joanne and Berjes the Cow….well they are having a loving marriage. Although Berjes is widely hated by her brothers,
she managed to find him a few friends in town that was unaware of his college reputation. Berjes decided to put his
love of athletics to good use and joined the Bowerville Huskies, and is working his way to superstar status. Joanne is
enforcing the law as a SWAT team leader, and she hopes to get to the top of her career before she becomes elder.

8. They had a son, named Sam, who was a lover of birds and nature. Next to him is the guard dog, Hank, who is very
vicious, kind of like Berjes. Sam will soon be heading off to college to pursue his dreams of being a movie star.

9. Judy (or vegeJudy as Zippo calls her), and her husband Weldon settled into their careers rather quickly. Judy is
currently working on writing a series of healthy vegetarian cookbooks, and promoting the goodness of growing one’s
own vegetables. She is also working hard in her journalism career, and using her influence to her advantage to get her
own cooking show. Weldon is more quiet and preferred to be the one to help all people get justice, and was voted as a
Judge in the 56th District court of Bowerville a month after winning his first criminal case as a prosecutor.

10. Their son Franklyn was a rambunctious little boy, always climbing on trees and hopping fences whenever he could. He
also enjoyed collecting bugs and playing trucks with his other cousins.

11. And here is a better picture of him. He looks more like Weldon, and I can’t wait to see him grow up.

12. And now on to Orson’s house. He and Elise also had a baby boy, whom they named Ash (you net him in the earlier
chapters). Elise decided to become a stay at home mom and quit her job at the police department. She enjoyed
growing home made basil and cannabis for her husband, and sewing quilts.

13. They also have a dog, Precious. She was a wedding present from Gene and Meadow, and Orson became attached to
her immediately. He even gave her a place at the dinner table, much to Elise’s dislike.

14. This is their family picture, taken in Orson’s band and groove room. Ash aspires to be just like his father and learn how
to play the guitar so that he could have his own band someday.
Now that we have caught up with generation 2, let’s see what’s going on with the heir of generation 3.

15. The taxi dropped Kimberly off at the legacy house and sped off quickly. She was glad to be back home, but at the same
time, she was nervous about being heiress.
“Am I going to be a good heiress? What if I don’t have enough kids? What if I ruin the family?” Instead of dwelling on
her negative thoughts, she headed inside to greet her parents.

16. “Hey Dad, there you are.”
“Oh Princess you’re home! I didn’t think you would be here until this evening.” *clinkclink*
“I decided to leave earlier because the new placeholder was going to throw a party and I didn’t want to be there.”

17. “It really is good to see you. Your mother and I have missed you greatly.”
“I missed you too Dad…..Dad? You can let go now.”
“Oh, sorry.”

18. “Well, since you are here now, perhaps you should invite Mr. Platz over. I am sure he will be happy to see you.”
“Huh? Ooh you mean Bruce! Sorry you lost me there for a moment. I will give him a call once I settle in and unpack my
suitcase.”
“Good. Rest up, I have a surprise for you later.”

19. *A few minutes later*
“Hey Bruce, what’s shakin’? Yea I am doing fine babe. How about you come on by….I have something to ask you that’s
why….Ok see you soon then. Bye!”

20. “Oh Bruce, I am so so so happy to see you!” *smoochsmooch*
“Mmmph! Babe, it’s only been two days!”
“But it feels like forever.”
“Awww, well in that case c’mere.”
“Wanna move in with me?”
“Yea of course!”

21. Bruce unpacked and soon got comfortable in the house, going straight for the RC car. Why does everyone go for that
car?! I am going to sell it.
“Hmm, no job in the Dance career, but there is a listing for a Natural Scientist. I suppose I can do that while I wait for
my dream job.”
“Good idea babe.”
Bruce found his dream job to become a mechanic, and got the Garage manager position at the local shop.

22. “Mmmm…I would love to kiss her right now.”
Wait until the wedding, Bruce.

23. That evening, Spencer decided to bring everyone to Londoste for a pre-wedding party. They hardly go out nowadays,
so this should be interesting and fun for everyone.
“Make sure you don’t order the cheapest thing on the menu, Kim. This is a celebration!”
“Daaad….”
“I’m getting’ the lobster then, I am starvin’.”

24. *clinkclinkclink* “Let’s make a toast to the future of Kimberly and Bruce. May they forever be prosperous and have
many happy years together!”
Everyone: Cheers!
Looks like Kimberly ordered cake anyways since it’s her favorite.

25. *hick* “You’re gonna be married soon, you haveta know what to do.”
“Mr. Mariano, are you ok?”
“Yea *hick* I think I drank one too many blueberry suprises.”

26. “You see, marriage life is like a bumpy road…no, wait it’s like a movie that never ends, and you never know what the
next scene will bring. So, son, get a huge bucket of popcorn and enjoy the show. *hick*”
“Ermm…thanks for the advice…I think.”
“No problem. Gimme another blueberry surprise! I am thirsty.”

27. Kimberly and Allyn retreated away from the boys for a game of chess.
“Mom, I am so nervous. What if I mess up my vows? What if I fall down the stairs or something?”
“Kimberly dear, you won’t do any of those things. I am sure everything will be just fine.”
“Were you nervous when you got married to Dad?”
“Oh very much so. Your grandma watched me like a hawk during the entire ceremony. But you don’t have to worry
about me doing that to you..”
“Thanks, Mom.”

28. Kimberly sleeping in her childhood bed for the last time. Tomorrow she will be married to Bruce and getting
generation 4 under way. I can’t wait to see what the children are going to look like.

29. Allyn insisted on doing her daughter’s hair and makeup. She looks very nice in this hairstyle.
“Mom, this is beautiful! I can’t believe I am wearing Grandma’s wedding dress. Wow.”
“You look wonderful dear. I can’t wait to see you get married.”
“I can’t wait either. I am sure Bruce is so confident while I am shaking like a leaf.”
“Trust me, he’s probably even more nervous, especially since he will be giving up his last name for yours.”

30. “I love you mom, very very much.”
“I love you too, dear. You are so much like your father. So polite and soft spoken. You and Karen are like night and day.”
“Do you think Karen will ever get married?”
“I doubt it. But, marriage isn’t for everyone you know. As long as she is happy. Now, get going. I am sure everyone is
waiting for you already.”

31. Downstairs, Bruce was sweating bullets.
“OK, get a hold of yourself. It’s just getting’ married. This is a good thing.”
In the background: Bruce! It’s time for the ceremony too start!
“Alright, I will be out in a sec.”

32. Bruce and Kimberly took their vows in the gazebo during a beautiful spring day. Everyone in the family was invited, and
because of the ton of sims at the house, my game lagged terribly. But that’s ok, the bigger the party the better.

33. “…and I, Kimberly Ann Mariano, take thee Bruce Steven Platz, to be my lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold,
in sickness and in health, ‘til death do us part.” Oh gee I am really getting married!! Calm down…

34. They didn’t even skip a beat with making out in front of the entire family.
“Oh, babe I have been waitin’ to kiss you all week.”
“You will have all the time in the world to kiss me…but let’s not do too much in front of my family.”
“Oh, right. Sorry.”
And now, Bruce Platz is now a Mariano! Congrats!

35. Unfortunately, the entire family stood on the other side, even though there were tons of chairs for them to sit on.
Maybe I had the arch turned the wrong way. Oops.

36. Kimberly, being all polite, gently fed her new husband. I was honestly hoping she was a shover, just to be funny. Oh
well.
“This cake is lovely, babe.”
“Yes, isn’t it? Mom made it for us because she couldn’t bear having the local bakery doing it.”

37. “Our cat Ringo is a lot of fun. Just the other day, he was attacking thin air! He has such an imagination for a cat.”
“Allyson, if you want, I can ask Gene to give you a puppy. They are even more fun and they actually play games with
you, like our dog Precious.”
“Oh that’s ok Elise. We have a full house, and I hope it becomes even more full soon.”
Looks like Dirk Dreamer crashed the party at some point. Oh well, there’s enough food for everyone.

38. “Uncle Spencer, isn’t that lady supposed to be cleaning up the soda cans and clearing the plates?”
“Ash, she can take a break and be a part of the party. Maids have fun too.”
Kaylyn: Yes we sure do! I love parties!
“But Uncle, Dad said that maids only work and nothing else and that they live to clean our dirty toilets.”
“…..”

39. They newlyweds enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife, even though no one else danced with them. The
guests were too busy eating up the buffet table.
“I love you so much.”
“I love you too babe.”

40. Yet again I forgot about inviting Berjes and Gene at the same time. They are eternal enemies. And to follow the
Mariano wedding tradition, Gene opened up a can of whoop-ass on Berjes.
“Woo babe go! Show him what you got!”

41. Ouch! Gene lost for the first time ever.
“You better eat your wheaties next time, punk!”
“Ooowww….I will get you back for this!”

42. “Man! Who turned the fridge around?! I am going to beat this fridge up man. This is oppression!”
“Brother, please go eat the food outside. That’s why is it’s there.”
“But I want some chips man! I got major munchies going on!”

43. After the wedding, Spencer brought Kimberly out to the garage.
“This car is really nice, Dad. Got another bonus?”
“Well no, actually this is your wedding present from your mother and I. I hope you like it.”
“No way….really?”
“Yes. It’s all yours.”

44. “This is a lovely wedding gift. Thanks so much! I am sure Bruce will love it.”
“You’re welcome, princess. Make sure you have fun on your honeymoon.”
“We definitely will.”

45. They said their goodbyes as they headed on their mini-vacation.
“Bye Kim and Bruce! Bring me some grandkids back, okay?”
“Mom! Please!”
“Don’t mind your mother, she’s feeling her age.”
“Spencer! How dare you!”
“I am just kidding, hun.”

46. They chose to stay local and stay downtown for a couple of days. Bruce chose a quaint hotel in the middle of the city. It
even had a swimming food and easy access to all of the fine dining they could buy.

47. “You sure are overdressed for this motel, man.”
“I can’t help it. We hotel workers only have one uniform.”
“That stinks. You should go on strike, get some better duds.”
“I will keep that in mind, sir.”

48. “This place reminds me of when we stayed in Twikki Island, except there are large buildings outside instead of huts.”
“Yea, this is a neat place.”
“…”
“…”
“Hey, wanna go swimming?”
Sure! Let’s go before it starts raining.”

49. The other guests at the motel had the same idea, so they had a lot of company during their swim.

50. It started raining hard, so the couple ran into their room and switched on the heat.
“You’re so beautiful, babe.”
“Thanks.”
“You know what we should do?”
“What?”

51. Woohoo!! Hmm…no lullaby yet. That's ok, maybe next time.

52. The next morning, Bruce and Kim headed over to Red’s Diner for a greasy breakfast of bacon and eggs.
“I don’t want this to end. Mainly because I know we are going to have to start working, and we won’t have as much
time to spend with each other.”
“It’s ok, babe. We will have lots of time. Trust me.”

53. “Oh goodness, is that Uncle Berjes? Why is he wearing a cow suit?”
“I have no idea, maybe Gene beat the sense out of him yesterday.”
Berjes: Ehhhh…looking good y’all!

54. After breakfast, Bruce took advantage of the pool table and hustled 150 simoleons out of Nina Caliente (the redhead
in the pink dress). Kimberly joined in the game just to learn.

55. They spent the last day running through the lover’s maze.
“I’m gonna catch ya, Kim!”
“No you won’t! I run faster than you!”

56. “I told ya I was gonna catch ya!” *smoochsmooch*
“MMpph….Yes…you…did…”

57. Back at home, Spencer decided to become an elder during his daily gardening session.
“Oh goodness, I think my back went out!”

58. “I am not amused with this weird outfit at all. It’s not professional.”
We will definitely be visiting the clothing store pronto. He is quite the handsome elder though. He looks almost like
Makoto.

59. “You have to plunge harder, otherwise it’s just going to get worse.”
Woman I know what I am doin’. Lay off already. “Thanks for the tip, Ma.”
“No Problem, Bruce.”

60. “I realized something just now. We don’t really watch TV….why is that?”
“It may be because we want to save our brain cells from being depleted. Those endless game shows take a toll on
one’s intellect you know.”
“Oh, I see…well since we are getting old I don’t think it matters anyway. So let’s watch Let’s Make a Deal. It’s coming on
in five minutes.”
“Oh that’s my favorite show. Let’s do that.”

61. They weren’t too concerned about TV, because they were trying to start generation 4.
“Babe, let’s play find the weasel!”
“Oh goody!”

62. “Aaahhh..very nice.”
“Yeah….”
And I heard a lullaby! Woot! Generation 4 is officially on the way!

63. “O hai kids! I thought maybe you would like some pie later?”
“Erm..Ma we are in our skivvies..do ya mind???”
“I’m just going to pretend my mother isn’t looking at me in my underwear…doo dee doo dee doo….”
Yea she just barged in after they got out of bed. How appropriate.

64. “Oh my! I shouldn’t have ate those leftovers. I suppose I have a bit of food poisoning.”
She seriously threw up constantly that night….I hope that doesn’t mean twins….

65. “Can’t you woo Pop someplace else? I’m practicing my language skills!”
“Spenceerrrrrr….I lovvvveee youuuuuuUUUUUU!!!!”
“Awww sweetie I love you too.”
Bruce: *gags*

66. Ringo decided to make friends with the neighborhood wolf. Or at least he tried to.
“Hey, you’re a cat. I don’t like cats” *minus minus*
“Well in that case I don’t like dogs either!” *minus minus*
“Fine!”
“Double fine!”

67. Bruce bought a new grill since the house didn’t have one and decided to have a small BBQ. I can’t believe I haven’t
bought them one sooner. I am such a bad simmer : P

68. One of his co-workers from the garage came by for the meal.
“Dude, let me tell you something about kids. Keep them fed, and they will behave like angels.”
“Ah, is that right?”
“Yea, and make sure you have some brightly colored toys too, so you can do whatever you want without a distraction.
Works for me and the Missus.”

69. The next day, Allyn was escorted into elderhood.
“Oh dear, I am not ready for this! Wait, did I just hear something pop?”
I wanted them to have a party, but their work schedules didn’t allow it.

70. “Wow I’m old! I never thought I would ever see the day!”
Well looks like a hair color change is in order. And a wardrobe change.

71. That’s much better. The dress really fits her too. She doesn’t look too bad as an elder, but at least we can kind of see
where Michael got his nose from.

72. Just a random picture of Kimberly’s prefect dive. I have so many athletic sims in this legacy…I blame the Greek house
exercise bike.

73. “Yo pops, look what I learned from Twikki Island! Groovy!”
“Eh, I know that one! Groovy!”
“Hmm…Spencer don’t put your back out again.”

74. Awww…autonomous flirting! Why is it that all of my elders do flirty things after they are old?! It’s cute anyways.

75. After the flirt session, they decided to take a late night walk through town.
“Spencer? Wait for me dear. I can’t walk as fast as I used to.”
“Oh sorry hun. I thought you were right next to me.”

76. “That was a lovely walk dear. We should do that again sometime.”
“I agree. Let’s go inside. I have something to show you.”
“Really?”
“Yes, come in.”

77. “Wow this is a pleasant surprise! Weeeee!!!”

78. Later that night, the first pop made its appearance.
“Oh! I guess I am in the family way after all! This is excellent news.”
“Zzzzzz…babe, you say somethin?”
“We’re having a baby Bruce!”
“Zzzz..that’s nice..zzzz”

79. This is the first time I have ever caught this in a picture. So cute!

80. Kimberly spent most of the morning reflecting on the lives of her grandparents, even though she never got to know
them very well.
“Grandma, Grandpa, I’m having a baby. Isn’t that swell?” I wish you could see him or her. Maybe one day.”

81. “Help? Oh help! I am stuck in this blanket and I can’t get out!”

82. “Kimberly, there are aliens out there. I have seen them with my own two eyes. And I know they want to make contact
with us, but they need someone to show them how to communicate.”
“Really Dad? I know you got abducted as a teenager, but I don’t think the aliens want to come down here and
communicate.”
“They do, Princess. You will see one day.”

83. “Unless you are an astronaut I don’t think you will ever be the alien ambassador. Sorry.”
“Think what you will, but I will prove it one of these days.”
“Ok Dad.” *rolls eyes*

84. “Ah, Bruce. I know you will understand me. You see, the aliens want to communicate with all of simkind, but they need
an ambassador to help them with learning simlish. I believe I can do that.”
“….What?”
“Well what do you think son?”
“…..”

85. “You, old man, are off your rockers. No offense Pops, but there’s no such thing as aliens. I think you have been
watching too much Twilight Zone.”
“Oh Bruce, you simple man. You will see one day. And then you will believe me.”
“If you say so, Pops.”

86. “Hey babe, how was your nap?”
“Very good, I was so tired.”
“I can’t wait to see my little man come out. I wanna show him how to be tough.”
“What if it’s a girl?”
“Well…I guess you could teach her how to knit or something.”
“Oh…”

87. “Hey what’s shakin’? How’s the Greek house?....Oh really….Uh huh…..Just don’t burn the house down, get take out or
something…”
Bruce is always keeping tabs on the Greek house, mainly because he knew their placeholder was prone to starting
fires.

88. Ringo found a friend in Bruce, and they played cat teaser for hours when he wasn’t at work.
“Here kitty! Get it! Whoops you missed!”

89. Yay Makoto finally haunted!
“Woo hoo! My bed is still here! Wait….is that Spencer sleeping in my bed with Allyn? Ah they got their groove on! Woo
hoo!”
His mind is still in the gutter after all of these years.

90. Pop number 2!

91. Bruce had the want for a train set, so he got it. Now he gets up in the middle of the night to play with his choo-choo
train.

92. “Oh my aching back! This baby is heavy!”
Another hard to catch moment. I am on a roll!

93. Even though she had an aching back, painting was her passion. Kimberly spent most of her afternoon painting
landscapes and birds.

94. “Bruce, can you give me a push?”
“Pops, aren’t you too old for this?”
“One is never too old to enjoy the toys of their youth.”
“If you say so…”

95. Since they had more time on their hands, Spencer and Allyn spent their time gardening and remembering their
younger years.

96. Then it happened.
“Oooooowwwwwie! BRUCE WAKE UP!”
“zZZzzz..huh? Stop screamin woman I’m sleepin…zzzzzz”
“The baby is coming!”
“Bruce Jr. is here? I’m up I’m up!”

97. Allyn stood in the background coaching.
“Now just breathe and spin, it will be over soon.”
“Oh dear this hurts!”

98. “Oh goody, a grandchild! Now I can educate my grandchildren too!”
Spencer…always thinking about higher education.

99. After a few more huffs and puffs, Roxanne was born. ( The naming theme for this generation is classic songs with
names for titles). Roxanne was named after the song by The Police. But, she won’t turn out like the lady in the song, I
promise. Roxanne has Kimberly’s eyes and skintone, and Bruce’s hair color. So adorable!

100. “Sorry I got to go pee. Mom, can you take Roxanne?”
Wow she just put the baby on the floor. How maternal.
