Paul expresses confidence that through the prayers of others and the help of the Holy Spirit, he will be delivered from his circumstances. He expects to never be ashamed of continuing to boldly preach Christ. Paul views both living and dying as living for Christ, and sees dying as better so that he can be with Christ. He asks others to pray for him so that he can proclaim the gospel boldly.
Ekklesia - Foundation Message One - Greg Simasrfochler
Greg Simas, (founder and Senior Leader of Convergence House of Prayer, Fremont) brings us a powerful message on what Jesus had in mind when he told Peter, “and on this rock I will build my assembly (Greek:ekklēsia), and hades' gates shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18b, Darby). Greg shows us how misleading and unfortunate it is when we accept the usual translation of ekklēsia as “church” and how imperative it is for us to understand what Jesus really said he will build, in order to be empowered to bring His kingdom rule into the places where we live and work (Isa 9:7, Matt 6:10, Matt 28:18-20). Philippians 4:1-9 is some of the most beautiful of Paul's writings. Paul begins with an exhortation to put aside our petty differences and work together in the Kingdom of God. He encourages them to not be anxious but have a peace of mind that surpasses human understanding. His prayer is that all of the church would meditate on things honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise!

The "little" book of Philemon is "huge" in teaching! When Paul wrote to Philemon he had an important message to send but he needed a way to reach a man like Philemon. In this message we dissect Paul's way of reaching Philemon with the truth of forgiveness, reconciliation and changed relationships.
This message reviews some of the common ways in which Christians drift from the correct interpretation of the commands in scripture, and why the correct interpretation is cause for a joyful and fulfilling life in Christ.
What is the real message of this little one chapter book? it is the story of forgiveness - Philemon had to forgive Philemon to receive him back. it is a story of reconciliation - restoring a relationship that had been lost. And it is a story of a changed relationship - from slave to brother; from master to brother!

Is it true that Jesus was raised from the dead? Well, the Old Testament and Jesus prophesied the event, Peter preached it, Paul proclaimed it and many people saw Him. But what is the significance? If Jesus is still in the tomb, our preaching and faith is in vain; we are still in our sins; our dead have perished. 1Corinthians 15:12-19
Fear is common to all. We all fear something. Some fear is God given. Children come into this world with a fear of heights and of loud noises. Some fears are there to protect us from physical harm: snakes, darkness, suffocation, being burned, death, etc. In christians, most fear is a tool of satan

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Renewed in Grace
2. Philippians 1:19-21 - For I
know that as you pray for me
and the Spirit of Jesus Christ
helps me, this will lead to my
deliverance. 20For I fully expect
and hope that I will never be
ashamed, but that I will
continue to be bold for Christ,
as I have been in the past.
3. And I trust that my life will bring
honor to Christ, whether I live or
die. 21For to me, living means
living for Christ, and dying is
even better. NLT
5. Romans 8:28 - And we know
that God causes everything to
work together for the good of
those who love God and are
called according to his purpose
for them. NLT
6. Job 19:25-26 - “But as for me, I
know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth
at last. 26And after my body has
decayed, yet in my body I will
see God! NLT
7. Romans 15:30 – Dear brothers
and sisters, I urge you in the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ
to join in my struggle by praying
to God for me. Do this because
of your love for me, given to you
by the
Holy Spirit. NLT
8. Ephesians 6:18-19 – Pray in
the Spirit at all times and on
every occasion. Stay alert and
be persistent in your prayers for
all believers everywhere.
9. 19And pray for me, too. Ask
God to give me the right words
so I can boldly explain God’s
mysterious plan that the Good
News is for Jews and Gentiles
alike. NLT
13. John 14:16-17 - And I will ask
the Father, and he will give you
another Advocate, who will
never leave you. 17He is the
Holy Spirit, who leads into all
truth. ... NLT
14. Acts 1:8 - But you will receive
power when the Holy Spirit
comes upon you. And you will
be my witnesses, telling people
about me everywhere—in
Jerusalem, throughout Judea,
in Samaria, and to the ends of
the earth.” NLT
15. Ephesians 3:20 - Now all glory
to God, who is able, through his
mighty power at work within us,
to accomplish infinitely more
than we might ask or think. NLT
16. Luke 12:11-12 - “And when you
are brought to trial in the
synagogues and before rulers
and authorities, don’t worry
about how to defend yourself or
what to say, 12for the Holy Spirit
will teach you at that time what
needs to be said.” NLT
19. Romans 1:16 - For I am not
ashamed of this Good News
about Christ. It is the power of
God at work, saving everyone
who believes—the Jew first
and also the Gentile. NLT
21. 1 Peter 4:16 - But it is no
shame to suffer for being a
Christian. Praise God for the
privilege of being called by his
name! NLT
22. 1 John 2:28 - And now, dear
children, remain in fellowship
with Christ so that when he
returns, you will be full of
courage and not shrink back
from him in shame. NLT
23.
24.
25.
26. Mark 8:38 - If anyone is
ashamed of me and my
message in these adulterous
and sinful days, the Son of Man
will be ashamed of that person
when he returns in the glory of
his Father with the
holy angels.” NLT
28. 20... And I trust that my life will
bring honor to Christ, whether I
live or die.
Paul’s Desire >
29. 21For to me, living means living
for Christ, and dying is even
better.
Paul’s Strategy
30. Colossians 1:15 & 17 – Christ
is the visible image of the
invisible God. He existed before
anything was created and is
supreme over all creation,17He
existed before anything else,
and he holds all creation
together. NLT
31. Acts 20:24 – But my life is
worth nothing to me unless I
use it for finishing the work
assigned me by the Lord
Jesus—the work of telling
others the Good News about
the wonderful grace of God. NLT
32.
33. Acts 21:13 – But he said, “Why
all this weeping? You are
breaking my heart! I am ready
not only to be jailed at
Jerusalem but even to die for
the sake of the Lord Jesus.” NLT
34.
35. Romans 14:7-9 – For we don’t
live for ourselves or die for
ourselves. 8If we live, it’s to
honor the Lord. And if we die,
it’s to honor the Lord. So
whether we live or die, we
belong to the Lord.
36. 9Christ died and rose again for
this very purpose—to be Lord
both of the living and of the
dead. NLT
37. 2 Timothy 4:6-7 – As for me,
my life has already been poured
out as an offering to God. The
time of my death is near. 7I
have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, and I
have remained faithful. NLT
