Ammie Peters, a life coach from Blessings 2 Good, shares her story. After being diagnosed with a rare blood disease in 1992 and exhausting all treatment options, she almost lost hope, but was able to get healthier, lead a productive life and now encourages other patients to stay positive and never give up hope.

2. My Story …
Diagnosed with rare blood disease 1992
Platelets were 7,000 (supposed to be
150,000 – 400,000)
Auto-immune disease (ITP Idiopathetic
Thrombocytopenic Purpura, what???)
Failed every treatment. Did I say every
treatment? Yes, I did.
3. My Connection to Dr. Sweiss & UIC...
No hope for me medically - all known
treatments exhausted (that made two of
us!)
I didn’t have the energy to go on any more.
I had a dream that gave me hope.
Hope then walked in the door of my
hospital room.
And her name is Dr. Nadera Sweiss.
