In a world dominated by technology, it is appropriate for adults to have concerns about the impact it
is having on children. While most of this concern does stem from the experiences of their own
childhood when there was less technology, more play time outside, and life was just simply much
easier, the fact of the matter is that the children today and the future generations to come are going
to grow up in a technological realm. Today, children as young as four years old, are regularly using
digital technology on multiple different platforms such as the Internet, mobile devices, and gaming
consoles. A 2013 Nielsen Connected Devices report found that in households that have a tablet
and/or computer and with children under 12 years of age, 70% of the children used the tablet; 70%
of those children used it for entertainment purposes, and 57% used the tablet for educational
purposes. The report, of course, raises the obvious question of rather or not early exposure of digital
technology can have negative effects on child development especially regarding their brains. In
truth, there is no easy answer because like most things in life, there are both good and bad attributes
to it and the exact same thing can be applied in this situation. For instance, while technology can be

solidifying the resin wherever it touches. Once a layer is completed, the platform descends a layer
thickness, resin flows over the first layer, and the next layer is built. This process continues until the

3.1. Computer Hardware Design
The computer is designed around the Arduino MEGA2560 microprocessor. The basic components
consist of buffers, decoder, RAM, ROM, and I/O ports. The diagram is shown in Figure 2.5.
Figure 3.1 shows 2560 pin mapping scheme. In order to have a better view the magnified capture of

Technology nowadays has become bigger and bigger. New watches, computers, and phones are
being bought every day. Some devices like IPads, Computers, and tablets are being used in the
classroom. But is this really a good way to educate students? Students and teachers should focus
less on technology and use textbooks. One reason that textbooks should be used is because handheld
technological devices including tablets are associated with a wide range of health problems.
According to the American Optometric Association, such issues like headaches, blurred vision,
eyestrain, and dry eyes, are all factors of "Computer Vision Syndrome".The syndrome can cause
bumps in learning, and having issues with health everyday is not a good way to be learning. People
who use electronic devices more often have a hard time focusing because of all the screen time they
are having. This shows that textbooks have a great advantage on learning because they do not cause
health issues like headaches, eyestrain, dry eyes, and blurred vision when using them.
Another reason that textbooks should be used is because using tablets and electronical devices is
more expensive than using print textbooks. Not only do schools have to pay for wifi, insurance, and
hardware. But they also have to pay to use the online textbooks (e–textbooks). Lee Wilson, a
prominent education marketing expert, says that implementation costs for online textbooks on iPad
tablets are 552% higher than new print textbooks in an average high school. As technology keeps
growing, the more and more the devices will start to cost, resulting in low money in schools. Wilson
estimates that the annual cost per student per class with tablets to be $71.55 vs. $14.26 for print
textbooks. This shows that textbooks are less money and are easier to use in the classroom.
Next, textbooks should be used because students who read print text comprehend more, remember
more, and learn more than those who read digital text. The brain interprets printed and digital text in
different ways, and people generally read digital text 20–30% slower than print. Textbooks are much

PERPETUATION AND MAINTENANCE OF READING THINKS AND OTHER ARTICLES IN
LIBRARY: AN OVERVIEW
Abstract: In this digital library environment, the traditional library system and services are being
replaced by new techniques such as library automation, collection development of e–resources and
networking of libraries. There has been tremendous change in the information world. Everyone has
to adopt these changes such as printed to digital form. A perpetuation is a set of procedures,
activities and preserves all the documents long term, preserving their content. This paper provides
an overview of the major perpetuation activities, definition, concept, process and types of media for
perpetuation. This paper also presents the perpetuation standards of library materials.

Introduction:
The library houses the document by considering the long–term perpetuation of the items while still
allowing the end user to access the material easily. But all library collections experience damage
from use and decay from aging. So there is a need of perpetuation and maintenance of library
materials. Libraries have always been places where information resources were collected, organized
and perpetuated for the use of future generations. However, application of computers has drastically

Gender And Technology Has Become A Important Factor Within...
Gender and technology has become a very important factor within today's society, as it reflects upon
the overlaps between gender, digital technologies and democracy. Technology has presented both
genders in provocative ways that tends to lead to sexual harassment and then for political action to
end gender based violence. This then becomes essential and fundamental to the working of and
towards a healthy democracy. The term Cyberfeminism has been developed throughout the previous
years as feminists who are interested in exploiting with technologies, such as the Internet and cyber–
space think it is a vehicle of freedom from the dissolution of sex and gender. An example of online
digital media that illustrates the case of gender of Cyberfeminism is the online media campaign
called "Free The Nipple." This essay will firstly describe this cyberfeminism campaign and how it is
relevant towards gender and technology. Then it will examine how digital media can be used as a
form of resistance against stereotypes and ideological assumptions in relation to the role of women
in contemporary society. Thus the difference between men and women become relevant to these
media phenomena and is of importance for gender patterns when considering it in relation to the

On December 12th, 2014, was the initial release of "Free The Nipple" campaign, which is and/or
was targeting all kinds of women from around the world to empower them and to be apart of the
equality movement.
