KABBALAH
KABBALAH DEFINITION
KABBALAH IS A WISDOM/SCIENCE
THAT ENABLES A PERSON TO FEEL
AND KNOW UPPER REALITY.
ASHLAG RESEARCH INSTITUTE
BY REALIZING OUR TRUE PURPOSE IN LIFE MAN
ATTAINS PERFECTION, TRANQUILITY,
UNBOUNDED ENJOYMENT AND THE ABILITY TO
TRANSCEND TIME AND SPACE WHILE STILL
LIVING IN THIS WORLD.
KABBALAH
Kabbalah ≠ Mysticism ≠ Magic ≠ Religion
Kabbalah is a science that considers what is hidden and what is revealed.
It is a way of studying, thinking and feeling.
It transmits the capacity to transcend time and space while still living in this
world.
It is a practical method of attaining the Upper World and the Source of our
Existence.
Attainment in Kabbalah is a matter of inner transformation.
Without inner transformation, this contact to the upper world cannot be
established.
It offers tools for identifying our true purpose in life and the meaning of our
existence.
It offers tools for attaining tranquility, perfection and unbounded enjoyment.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KABBALAH AND RELIGION
• KABBALAH PREDATES RELIGION.
• RELIGION APPEARED BECAUSE OF THE DISCONNECTION WITH HIGHER
REALITY.

THE 4 STAGES OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS (KAUFMAN)
ODYSSEY OF CREATION
UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVE POTENTIAL
FLOW (MIHALY CSIKSZENTMIHALYI)
“THE BEST MOMENTS USUALLY
OCCUR IF A PERSON’S BODY OR
MIND IS STRETCHED TO ITS LIMITS
IN A VOLUNTARY EFFORT TO
ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING DIFFICULT
AND WORTHWHILE.”
FLOW
• MIHALY CSIKSZENTMIHALYI (2013) SAID THAT
THE HIGHEST INTRINSIC MOTIVATION IS “FLOW”
WHERE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS IS LOST, ONE
SURRENDERS COMPLETELY TO THE MOMENT AND
TIME MEANS NOTHING.
THE 8 CHARACTERISTICS OF FLOW
Complete
concentration on the
task.
Clarity of goals and
reward in mind and
immediate feedback.
Transformation of
time (speeding
up/slowing down of
time).
The experience is
intrinsically
rewarding.
Effortlessness and
ease.
There is a balance
between challenge
and skills.
Actions and
awareness are
merged, losing self-
conscious rumination.
There is a feeling of
control over the task.
WHO EXPERIENCES FLOW?
• ‘’AUTOTELIC PERSONALITIES’’ TEND TO EXPERIENCE
MORE FLOW.
• THEY TEND TO DO THINGS FOR THEIR OWN SAKE
RATHER THAN CHASING SOME DISTANT EXTERNAL GOAL.
• IN A RECENT STUDY INVESTIGATING ASSOCIATIONS
BETWEEN FLOW AND THE 5-PERSONALITY TYPES, THEY
FOUND A NEGATIVE CORRELATION WITH NEUROTICISM
AND A POSITIVE CORRELATION BETWEEN
CONSCIENTIOUSNESS WITH THE STATE OF FLOW.
• CONSCIENTIOUS INDIVIDUALS ARE MORE LIKELY TO
SPEND TIME ON MASTERING CHALLENGING TASKS,
WHICH ARE CHARACTERISTICS IMPORTANT FOR FLOW
EXPERIENCE.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BRAIN DURING FLOW?
• ACCORDING TO DIETRICH, IT HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED
WITH DECREASED ACTIVITY IN THE PREFRONTAL
CORTEX.
• THIS TEMPORARY INACTIVATION OF THE PREFRONTAL
AREA MAY TRIGGER THE FEELING OF DISTORTION OF
TIME, LOSS OF SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS, AND LOSS OF
INNER-CRITIC.
• MOREOVER, THE INHIBITION OF THE PREFRONTAL
LOBE MAY ENABLE THE IMPLICIT MIND TO TAKE OVER,
RESULTING IN MORE BRAIN AREAS TO COMMUNICATE
FREELY AND ENGAGE IN A CREATIVE PROCESS.
HOW TO GET INTO THE FLOW?
• A FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO DUMP YOUR SMARTPHONE.
• “INDUCING FLOW IS ABOUT THE BALANCE BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF SKILL
AND THE SIZE OF THE CHALLENGE AT HAND.”
• THE EXPERIENCE OF FLOW IN EVERYDAY LIFE IS AN IMPORTANT
COMPONENT OF CREATIVITY AND WELL-BEING.
• IT CAN BE PRESCRIBED AS A KEY ASPECT OF ‘’EUDAIMONIA’’ OR SELF-
ACTUALIZATION IN AN INDIVIDUAL, A CONTRADICTORY TERM TO
“HEDONIA” OR PLEASURE.
MIHALY CSIKSZENTMIHALYI ON FLOW
RESOURCES
Personality Development
THEORY OF POSITIVE DISINTEGRATION (DABROWSKI)
UNILEVEL DISINTEGRATION
• UNILEVEL DISINTEGRATION OCCURS DURING
DEVELOPMENTAL CRISES SUCH AS PUBERTY
OR MENOPAUSE, IN PERIODS OF DIFFICULTY
IN HANDLING SOME STRESSFUL EXTERNAL
EVENT, OR UNDER PSYCHOLOGICAL AND
PSYCHOPATHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS SUCH
AS NERVOUSNESS AND PSYCHONEUROSIS.
MULTILEVEL DISINTEGRATION
• IN MULTILEVEL DISINTEGRATION THERE IS A
COMPLICATION OF THE UNILEVEL PROCESS BY
THE INVOLVEMENT OF ADDITIONAL
HIERARCHICAL LEVELS, WHICH MOVE THE
INDIVIDUAL IN THE DIRECTION OF HIS
PERSONALITY IDEAL.
• “THE ACTIONS OF MULTILEVEL
DISINTEGRATION ARE LARGELY CONSCIOUS,
INDEPENDENT, AND INFLUENTIAL IN
DETERMINING PERSONALITY STRUCTURE”
(DĄBROWSKI, 1964, P. 8).
SECONDARY INTEGRATION
• AS SECONDARY INTEGRATION INCREASES,
INTERNAL PSYCHIC TENSION DECREASES, AS
DOES MOVEMENT UPWARD OR DOWNWARD
OF THE DISPOSING AND DIRECTING CENTER,
WITH THE CONSERVATION, NEVERTHELESS, OF
ABILITY TO REACT FLEXIBLY TO DANGER.
• “THE DISINTEGRATION PROCESS, AS IT TAKES
PLACE POSITIVELY, TRANSFORMS ITSELF INTO
AN ORDERED SEQUENCE ACCOMPANIED BY AN
INCREASING DEGREE OF CONSCIOUSNESS”
(DĄBROWSKI, 1964, P. 21).
DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL
• DABROWSKI'S "OE" THEORY IS THAT PEOPLE BORN
WITH OVEREXCITABILITIES HAVE A HIGHER LEVEL OF
"DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL" THAN OTHERS AND THAT
OVEREXCITABILITIES FEED, ENRICH, EMPOWER AND
AMPLIFY THEIR TALENTS.
• THE DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL OF AN INDIVIDUAL,
DEFINED BY DABROWSKI (1964) AS THE, “ORIGINAL
ENDOWMENT DETERMINING THE LEVEL TO WHICH AN
INDIVIDUAL CAN DEVELOP, IF HIS PHYSICAL AND
SOCIAL CONDITIONS ARE OPTIMAL...”
5 LEVELS OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL AND
OVEREXCITABILITY
• PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IS LARGELY THE RESULT OF THE IMPACT OF
FORMS OF DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL (DP), NOTABLY, OVEREXCITABILITY
(OE).
• THIS OVEREXCITABILITY MAY LEAD TO A LONG COURSE OF DEVELOPMENTAL
CRISES (POSITIVE DISINTEGRATIONS) AND CHALLENGES THAT CULMINATE IN
THE EMERGENCE OF AN AUTONOMOUS, SELF CRAFTED PERSONALITY.
• DĄBROWSKI OBSERVED THAT INDIVIDUALS WITH STRONG OE EXPERIENCE
CRISES IN A STRONGER, DEEPER AND MORE PERSONAL MANNER.
• THE INTENSE EXPERIENCE OF CRISES CREATES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE
CONSCIOUS AND VOLITIONAL REARRANGEMENT OF THE SELF INCLUDING A
REFORMULATION AND REPRIORITIZATION OF ONE'S VALUES AND BELIEFS.
• THE INDIVIDUAL FORMS A NEW IMAGE OF HIS OR HER IDEAL PERSONALITY.
• WITH THIS IDEAL AS A GUIDE, THE LOWER ASPECTS OF THE SELF ARE
INHIBITED AND HIGHER GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS EMPHASIZED.
5 OVEREXCITABILITIES FROM DABROWSKI
Psychomotor
Sensual
Intellectual
Imaginational
Emotional
5 OVEREXCITABILITIES FROM DABROWSKI
1) THE PSYCHOMOTOR OVEREXCITABILITY IS COMMON IN GIFTED
CHILDREN.
• IT IS CHARACTERIZED PRIMARILY BY HIGH LEVELS OF
ENERGY.
• CHILDREN WITH THIS OE ALSO MAY BE MISDIAGNOSED AS
ADHD.
2) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF SENSUAL INTENSITY IS A HEIGHTENED
AWARENESS OF ALL FIVE SENSES.
• SIGHT, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH, HEARING.
3) INTELLECTUAL INTENSITY IS THE ONE MOST RECOGNIZED IN
GIFTED CHILDREN.
4) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF IMAGINATIONAL INTENSITY IS THE FREE
PLAY OF THE IMAGINATION.
5) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF EMOTIONAL INTENSITY IS EXCEPTIONAL
EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY.
INDICATORS OF PSYCHOMOTOR
OVEREXCITABILITY
• RAPID SPEECH
• IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR

• SLEEPLESSNESS
INDICATORS OF SENSUAL
OVEREXCITABILITY
• APPRECIATION OF BEAUTY, WHETHER IN
WRITING, MUSIC, ART OR NATURE, INCLUDING
THE LOVE OF OBJECTS LIKE JEWELRY.
• SENSITIVE TO SMELLS, TASTES, OR TEXTURES OF
FOODS.
• SENSITIVITY TO POLLUTION.
• TACTILE SENSITIVITY (BOTHERED BY FEEL OF
SOME MATERIALS ON THE SKIN, CLOTHING
TAGS).
• CRAVING FOR PLEASURE.
• NEED OR DESIRE FOR COMFORT.
INDICATORS OF INTELLECTUAL
OVEREXCITABILITY
• DEEP CURIOSITY
• LOVE OF KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING
• LOVE OF PROBLEM-SOLVING
• AVID READING
• ASKING PROBING QUESTIONS
• THEORETICAL THINKING
• ANALYTICAL THINKING
• INDEPENDENT THINKING
• CONCENTRATION, ABILITY TO MAINTAIN
INTELLECTUAL EFFORT
INDICATORS OF IMAGINATIONAL
OVEREXCITABILITY
• VIVID DREAMS
• FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN
• GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR
• MAGICAL THINKING
• LOVE OF POETRY, MUSIC, AND DRAMA
• LOVE OF FANTASY
• DAYDREAMING

INDICATORS OF EMOTIONAL
OVEREXCITABILITY
• EXTREMES OF EMOTION
• ANXIETY
• FEELINGS OF GUILT AND SENSE OF
RESPONSIBILITY
• FEELINGS OF INADEQUACY AND INFERIORITY
• TIMIDITY AND SHYNESS
• LONELINESS
INDICATORS OF EMOTIONAL
OVEREXCITABILITY
• CONCERN FOR OTHERS
• A HEIGHTENED SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG OR
INJUSTICE AND HYPOCRISY
• STRONG MEMORY OF FEELINGS
• PROBLEMS ADJUSTING TO CHANGE
• DEPRESSION
• NEED FOR SECURITY
• PHYSICAL RESPONSE TO EMOTIONS (STOMACH ACHES
CAUSED BY ANXIETY, FOR EXAMPLE)

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT AND POSTTRAUMATIC
GROWTH
• DĄBROWSKI PRESENTS A THEORY OF
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT BASED ON AN
INTERPLAY OF POTENTIALS,
DISINTEGRATIONS OF LOWER FUNCTIONS
AND RE-INTEGRATIONS OF HIGHER FEATURES
MARKED BY A MULTILEVEL, HIERARCHICAL
VIEW OF LIFE.
• THE THEORY IS A FORERUNNER OF WHAT
TODAY IS CALLED POST-TRAUMATIC
GROWTH.
POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH
• POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH (PTG) OR BENEFIT FINDING IS
POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL CHANGE EXPERIENCED AS A RESULT OF
ADVERSITY AND OTHER CHALLENGES IN ORDER TO RISE TO A
HIGHER LEVEL OF FUNCTIONING.
• THESE CIRCUMSTANCES REPRESENT SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES TO
THE ADAPTIVE RESOURCES OF THE INDIVIDUAL, AND POSE
SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES TO THEIR WAY OF UNDERSTANDING
THE WORLD AND THEIR PLACE IN IT.
• POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH INVOLVES "LIFE-CHANGING"
PSYCHOLOGICAL SHIFTS IN THINKING AND RELATING TO THE
WORLD, THAT CONTRIBUTE TO A PERSONAL PROCESS OF
CHANGE, THAT IS DEEPLY MEANINGFUL.
POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH
RESOURCES
The Highly Gifted Person
HIGHLY GIFTED PEOPLE (JOAN
FREEMAN)
• 2% OF THE POPULATION IS IDENTIFIED AS HIGHLY GIFTED.
• PIECHOWSKI (2003) STATES THAT “GIFTEDNESS IN NOT A
MATTER OF DEGREE BUT OF A DIFFERENT QUALITY OF
EXPERIENCING...”.
• A SMALL AMOUNT OF DEFINITIVE RESEARCH HAS LED TO
THE BELIEF THAT INTENSITY, SENSITIVITY AND
OVEREXCITABILITY ARE PRIMARY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
HIGHLY GIFTED.
• IT IS PROBABLY NOT INCORRECT TO SAY THAT ALTHOUGH
NOT ALL HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE ARE GIFTED, ALL
GIFTED PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE.
OVEREXCITABILITIES IN GIFTED PEOPLE
• OVEREXCITABILITY IS A HEIGHTENED PHYSIOLOGICAL EXPERIENCE OF
STIMULI RESULTING FROM INCREASED NEURONAL SENSITIVITIES.
• THE GREATER THE OE, THE MORE INTENSE ARE THE DAY-TO-DAY
EXPERIENCES OF LIFE.
• “AN INDIVIDUAL WITH STRONG OVEREXCITABILITIES WILL EXPERIENCE
LIFE MORE RICHLY AND PROCESS IT MORE COMPLEXLY THAN OTHERS
WITH LESS OR NO OVEREXCITABILITY AND WHO ARE EXPOSED TO THE
SAME LIFE EXPERIENCES” (BOUCHARD, 2004, P. 340).
• OVEREXCITABILITIES ARE NOT ABILITIES; RATHER, THEY ARE MODES
OF EXPERIENCING THE WORLD (PIECHOWSKI & COLANGELO, 1984).
• PERSONALITY DETERMINES THE SUCCESS OF GIFTED PEOPLE (TAKING
THE OPPORTUNITIES).

SENSITIVITY
2 KINDS OF BEINGS EXIST IN EVERY SPECIES:
• HIGH
RESPONSIVENESS/REACTIVITY/ALERTNESS/AWARENE
SS
• LOW
RESPONSIVENESS/REACTIVITY/ALERTNESS/AWARENE
SS
• SEROTONIN GENE (SENSORY PROCESSING SENSITIVITY OF THE
NS).
ARE YOU AN HSP?
• ARE YOU "TOO SHY" OR "TOO SENSITIVE" ACCORDING TO
OTHERS?
• DO YOU HAVE A KEEN IMAGINATION AND VIVID DREAMS?
• IS TIME ALONE EACH DAY AS ESSENTIAL TO YOU AS FOOD AND
WATER?
• DO NOISE AND CONFUSION QUICKLY OVERWHELM YOU?
• DID YOU HAVE MELTDOWNS AND TANTRUMS AS A CHILD?
• IF YOUR ANSWERS ARE YES, YOU MAY BE A HIGHLY SENSITIVE
PERSON (HSP).
HIGH SENSITIVITY TRAIT
• ABOUT 1 IN 5 PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE - AND
MOST DON'T KNOW IT.
• NOR DO THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM.
• THEY JUST KNOW THAT THEIR LOVED ONE CAN CRY
EASILY, REACT TO SITUATIONS THAT OTHERS JUST
SHRUG THEIR SHOULDERS AT, AND OTHERWISE TAKE
THINGS JUST TOO PERSONALLY.
• MOST OF US FEEL OVERSTIMULATED OCCASIONALLY, BUT
FOR THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.
HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON PROFILE
• 20% OF PEOPLE WERE BORN HIGHLY SENSITIVE (1% OF
POPULATION WITH AN EXTREMELY SENSITIVE NERVOUS SYSTEM –
SMART, CREATIVE, EMPATHETIC BUT ALSO ANXIOUS).
• THEY THINK MORE DEEPLY ABOUT EVERYTHING, THEY ARE MORE
EASILY OVERSTIMULATED, HAVE MORE EMPATHY FOR OTHERS
AND THEY SENSE MORE OF THE SUBTLETIES IN ANYTHING.
• HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE'S SYSTEMS ARE VERY POROUS,
MEANING THAT EXTERNAL STIMULI SEEMS TO BE MORE DIRECTLY
ABSORBED INTO THEIR BODIES.
• HSP’S ARE EVEN CREATIVE DURING THEIR DREAMTIME WHEN
THEY DO NOT FEEL JUDGED BY OTHERS AND THEY ARE VERY
PSYCHIC.
HSP AND DOES
• D: DEPTH OF PROCESSING
• O: EASILY OVERSTIMULATED
• E: EMOTIONAL RESPONSIVENESS – MORE
EMPATHY
• INSULA ACTIVATION – SENSORY INPUT.
• HIGHER ACTIVITY OF MIRROR NEURONS.
• DEEPER INFORMATION PROCESSING.
• S: SUBTLE STIMULI
HSP’S AND THE 5 SENSES
• HSP’S HAVE HEIGHTENED REACTIVITY TO THEIR
SENSES AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
• THEY SENSE MORE DEEPLY (TASTE, SMELL, SIGHT,
HEARING, TOUCH) AND FEEL STRONGER
EMOTIONS.
HIGH SENSITIVITY AND TALENTS
• HSP’S ARE RATHER COOPERATIVE THAN
COMPETITIVE.
• HSP’S ARE MORE CREATIVE AND EMPATHETIC,
CONSCIENTIOUS, INTROSPECTIVE, INTUITIVE
AND HIGHLY SPIRITUAL AND PSYCHIC.
• HSP’S ARE VERY GOOD LEADERS,
COUNSELORS, PRIESTLY ADVISORS, HEALERS.
HIGH SENSITIVITY AND OVERSTIMULATION
• HSP’S ARE MORE PRAWN TO BURNOUT AND SLEEPING
PROBLEMS. A LOT OF MIGRAINE PATIENTS ARE ALSO HSP BUT
NOT ALL HSP HAVE MIGRAINES.
• HSP’S HAVE LOWER THRESHOLDS FOR STRESS AND TOXIC
RELATIONSHIPS.
• INDIVIDUALS WITH HIGH SENSORY-PROCESSING
SENSITIVITY HAVE LOW STIMULUS SENSITIVITY
THRESHOLDS.
• HSP’S NEED MORE DOWNTIME THAN OTHERS (MEDITATION,
PRAYER, CREATIVE EXPRESSION, LONG SLEEP, FREQUENT
VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS).
• MEDITATION HAS AN EFFECT 200 MILES AROUND US.
STUDY HIGH CRIME ZONE VERSUS LOW CRIME ZONE.
HIGHLY SENSITIVE MEN
THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE CHILD (ELAINE ARON)
• HS CHILDREN NOTICE QUITE EARLY THAT THEY ARE DIFFERENT
FROM OTHER CHILDREN.
• IN ADOLESCENCE THE DIFFERENCE IS NOT SO OBVIOUS BUT IN
THEIR LATE 20’S AND EARLY 30’S THEY CLEARLY NOTICE THAT
THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PEOPLE.
• HS CHILDREN PERFORM BETTER IN A CALM ENVIRONMENT
WHEREAS ADHD CHILDREN PERFORM WORSE. THEY NEED A
CERTAIN AMOUNT OF STIMULATION.
• HS CHILDREN WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE AT HOME TO HAVE THEIR
EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS.
• HS CHILDREN NEED A LOT OF CALM PLAY, A LOT OF TIME IN
NATURE, A LOT OF REST AND AN ABSTINENCE FROM ELECTRONIC
DEVICES.
HIGH SENSITIVITY AND PERSONALITY
• HSP ≠ INTROVERSION: 30% OF HSP’S ARE EXTROVERTS, 70%
ARE INTROVERTS.
• HSP ≠ NEUROTICISM – TENDENCY TOWARDS ANXIETY AND
DEPRESSION
• HIGHER FOR HSP’S WITH TROUBLED CHILDHOODS.
• HSP’S WITHOUT A DIFFICULT CHILDHOOD ARE LESS
LIKELY THAN THE NORM TO DEVELOP ANXIETY AND
DEPRESSION.
• CHILDHOOD HEALING IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR HSP’S.
• HSP’S ARE VERY REACTIVE TO THERAPY AND SELF-HELP.
50% OF PEOPLE WHO SEEK THERAPY ARE HSP.
HIGH SENSITIVITY AND PERSONALITY
• ALTHOUGH MANY HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE ARE INTROVERTS AND
INTUITS (MBTI), RESERVED, QUIET OR SHY, THERE IS A PERCENTAGE
THAT ARE HIGH SENSATION SEEKERS, OR EXTROVERTS.
• ALTHOUGH THEY SEEK ADVENTURE THEY ALSO GET OVERLOADED
AND BECOME OVER STIMULATED WITH THE SAME RESULTS AS THE
REST OF THE HSP.
• THEY ARE EASILY BORED BUT EASILY OVERWHELMED AS WELL.
• THEY HAVE ONE FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND ONE ON THE
BREAK.
• THEY ADORE SOCIALIZING WITH LOTS OF NEW PEOPLE BUT NEED
THEIR DOWNTIME AS WELL.
• BEING HS, EXTRAVERTED AND A SENSATION SEEKER IS THE PERFECT
MIXTURE.
• THEY MAKE VERY GOOD LEADERS AND PUBLIC SPEAKERS.

SENSITIVE – THE UNTOLD STORY (ELAINE
ARON)
NEW GENERATIONS OF
HIGHLY SENSITIVE YOUNG
PEOPLE
(DOREEN VIRTUE)
INDIGO, CRYSTAL AND RAINBOW
CHILDREN
(DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THE TERMS “INDIGO,” “CRYSTAL” AND “RAINBOW” WERE GIVEN TO THESE THREE GENERATIONS, BECAUSE THEY MOST ACCURATELY
DESCRIBE THEIR AURA COLORS AND ENERGY PATTERNS.
• INDIGOS SHARE SOME CHARACTERISTICS WITH THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN.
• BOTH GENERATIONS ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE AND PSYCHIC, AND HAVE IMPORTANT LIFE PURPOSES.
• THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THEIR TEMPERAMENT.
• THE CRYSTALS ARE THE GENERATION WHO BENEFIT FROM THE INDIGOS’ TRAILBLAZING.
• FIRST, THE INDIGO CHILDREN LEAD WITH A MACHETE, CUTTING DOWN ANYTHING THAT LACKS INTEGRITY.
• THEN THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN FOLLOW THE CLEARED PATH, INTO A SAFER AND MORE SECURE WORLD. AND NOW, THE FEARLESS
RAINBOW CHILDREN ARE PURE GIVERS READY TO FULFILL OUR NEEDS.
• THE RAINBOW CHILDREN ARE NOW BEING BORN AS THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN BECOME ADULTS.
INDIGO CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THE INDIGO CHILDREN HAVE BEEN INCARNATING ON
THE EARTH FOR THE LAST 100 YEARS.
• THE EARLY INDIGOS WERE PIONEERS AND WAY-
SHOWERS.
• AFTER WORLD WAR II, A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER WERE
BORN, AND THESE ARE THE INDIGO ADULTS OF
TODAY.
• HOWEVER, IN THE 1970S A MAJOR WAVE OF INDIGOS
WAS BORN, AND SO WE HAVE A WHOLE GENERATION
OF INDIGOS WHO ARE NOW IN THEIR LATE TWENTIES
AND EARLY THIRTIES WHO ARE ABOUT TO TAKE THEIR
PLACE AS LEADERS IN THE WORLD.
• INDIGOS CONTINUED TO BE BORN UP TO ABOUT 2000,
WITH INCREASING ABILITIES AND DEGREES OF
TECHNOLOGICAL AND CREATIVE SOPHISTICATION.
INDIGO CHILDREN (DOREEN
VIRTUE)
• MANY OF THE INDIGO CHILDREN ARE CLAIRVOYANT.
• SINCE THEIR COLLECTIVE PURPOSE IS TO USHER US INTO A
NEW WORLD OF INTEGRITY, THE INDIGOS’ INNER LIE
DETECTORS ARE INTEGRAL.
• INDIGOS KNOW WHEN THEY’RE BEING LIED TO, PATRONIZED,
OR MANIPULATED.
• INDIGOS HAVE A WARRIOR SPIRIT, BECAUSE THEIR
COLLECTIVE PURPOSE IS TO MASH DOWN OLD SYSTEMS THAT
NO LONGER SERVE US.
• THEY ARE HERE TO QUASH GOVERNMENT, EDUCATIONAL
AND LEGAL SYSTEMS THAT LACK INTEGRITY. TO ACCOMPLISH
THIS END, THEY NEED TEMPERS AND FIERY DETERMINATION.
INDIGO CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• INDIGOS ARE UNABLE TO CONFORM TO
DYSFUNCTIONAL SITUATIONS AT HOME, WORK, OR
SCHOOL.
• THOSE ADULTS WHO RESIST CHANGE AND WHO
VALUE CONFORMITY MAY MISUNDERSTAND THE
INDIGOS.
• THEY ARE OFTEN MISLABELED WITH THE
PSYCHIATRIC DIAGNOSES OF ATTENTION DEFICIT
WITH HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD) OR
ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER (ADD).
• SADLY, WHEN THEY’RE MEDICATED, THE INDIGOS
OFTEN LOSE THEIR BEAUTIFUL SENSITIVITY,
SPIRITUAL GIFTS AND WARRIOR ENERGY.
CRYSTAL CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN BEGAN TO APPEAR ON
THE PLANET FROM ABOUT 2000, ALTHOUGH SOME
DATE THEM SLIGHTLY EARLIER.
• THE FIRST ONE’S WERE BORN IN THE 1980’S.
• THESE ARE EXTREMELY POWERFUL CHILDREN,
WHOSE MAIN PURPOSE IS TO TAKE US TO THE NEXT
LEVEL IN OUR EVOLUTION, AND REVEAL TO US OUR
INNER POWER AND DIVINITY.
• THEY FUNCTION AS A GROUP CONSCIOUSNESS
RATHER THAN AS INDIVIDUALS.
• THEY ARE A POWERFUL FORCE FOR LOVE AND
PEACE ON THE PLANET.
CRYSTAL CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THEY’RE AMONG THE MOST CONNECTED, COMMUNICATIVE, CARING AND CUDDLY OF
ANY GENERATION.
• THEY DISPLAY AN UNPRECEDENTED LEVEL OF KINDNESS AND SENSITIVITY TO THIS
WORLD.
• CRYSTAL CHILDREN SPONTANEOUSLY HUG AND CARE FOR PEOPLE IN NEED.
• THEY ARE HAPPY, DELIGHTFUL, FORGIVING, BLISSFUL AND EVEN-TEMPERED.
• IDEAL IN MANY WAYS, CRYSTAL CHILDREN ARE THE POINTERS FOR WHERE HUMANITY IS
HEADED . . . AND IT’S A GOOD DIRECTION!
• GOD WOULDN’T HAVE SENT THIS SPECIAL BREED OF HUMANS TO EARTH, WERE WE ON
OUR LAST LEG AS A CIVILIZATION OR PLANET.
• PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS AROUND THE GLOBE DESCRIBE THEIR CRYSTAL AS “AN
ANGEL”.
• THEY DESCRIBE THEIR CRYSTAL CHILD AS A PROFOUND SPIRITUAL TEACHER, WHO
TAUGHT PARENTS A GREAT DEAL ABOUT BEING AN EXCEPTIONALLY LOVING AND KIND
PERSON.
CRYSTAL CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THE FIRST THING THAT MOST PEOPLE NOTICE ABOUT THEM IS THEIR
EYES - LARGE, PENETRATING AND WISE BEYOND THEIR YEARS.
• THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN’S EYES LOCK ON AND HYPNOTIZE YOU, WHILE
YOU REALIZE YOUR SOUL IS BEING LAID BARE FOR THESE CHILDREN TO
SEE.
• THEY ARE QUITE PHILOSOPHICAL AND SPIRITUALLY GIFTED.
• THIS GENERATION ALSO SHOWS A FASCINATION FOR CRYSTALS AND
ROCKS.
• CRYSTAL CHILDREN’S INNATE SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE ALSO
MISUNDERSTOOD.
• SPECIFICALLY, CRYSTAL CHILDREN HAVE TELEPATHIC ABILITIES THAT
LEAD THEM TO TALK LATER IN LIFE.
• THE PARENTS ENGAGE IN MIND-TO-MIND COMMUNICATION WITH
THEIR CRYSTAL CHILDREN.
• NOT ONLY ARE THE CRYSTAL CHILDREN HIGHLY SPIRITUALLY
SENSITIVE, BUT SO ARE THEIR PARENTS.
RAINBOW CHILDREN (DOREEN VIRTUE)
• THEY ARE THE EMBODIMENT OF OUR DIVINITY AND
THE EXAMPLE OF OUR POTENTIAL.
• THEY’RE LITTLE AVATARS WHO ARE ALL ABOUT
SERVICE.
• THESE ARE CHILDREN WHO ARE ONLY HERE TO
GIVE.
• RAINBOW CHILDREN ARE ALREADY AT THEIR
SPIRITUAL PEAK.
• THE RAINBOW CHILDREN RADIATE RAINBOW
ENERGY, THE KIND THAT WE WERE CREATED WITH,
TO INSTILL WITHIN US HEALTH AND BALANCE.
• RAINBOW CHILDREN ARE COMING ABOUT BECAUSE
THE FULL SPECTRUM OF LIGHT THAT WE NEED TO
ASSIMILATE SEROTONIN IN OUR BODY HAS BEEN
REDUCED.
ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?

  • 11. KABBALAH DEFINITION KABBALAH IS A WISDOM/SCIENCE THAT ENABLES A PERSON TO FEEL AND KNOW UPPER REALITY.
  • 12. ASHLAG RESEARCH INSTITUTE BY REALIZING OUR TRUE PURPOSE IN LIFE MAN ATTAINS PERFECTION, TRANQUILITY, UNBOUNDED ENJOYMENT AND THE ABILITY TO TRANSCEND TIME AND SPACE WHILE STILL LIVING IN THIS WORLD.
  • 13. KABBALAH Kabbalah ≠ Mysticism ≠ Magic ≠ Religion Kabbalah is a science that considers what is hidden and what is revealed. It is a way of studying, thinking and feeling. It transmits the capacity to transcend time and space while still living in this world. It is a practical method of attaining the Upper World and the Source of our Existence. Attainment in Kabbalah is a matter of inner transformation. Without inner transformation, this contact to the upper world cannot be established. It offers tools for identifying our true purpose in life and the meaning of our existence. It offers tools for attaining tranquility, perfection and unbounded enjoyment.
  • 14. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KABBALAH AND RELIGION • KABBALAH PREDATES RELIGION. • RELIGION APPEARED BECAUSE OF THE DISCONNECTION WITH HIGHER REALITY.
  • 15. KABBALAH REVEALED Perception of reality The path of pain and the path of Torah and Mitzvot The force of development and the meaning of suffering The four phases of direct light The screen Equivalence of form There’s none else beside Him Free will The difference between Kabbalah and Religion Defining the goal Revelation and concealment Inanimate vegetative and animate human Correcting the world

  • 29. FLOW (MIHALY CSIKSZENTMIHALYI) “THE BEST MOMENTS USUALLY OCCUR IF A PERSON’S BODY OR MIND IS STRETCHED TO ITS LIMITS IN A VOLUNTARY EFFORT TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING DIFFICULT AND WORTHWHILE.”
  • 30. FLOW • MIHALY CSIKSZENTMIHALYI (2013) SAID THAT THE HIGHEST INTRINSIC MOTIVATION IS “FLOW” WHERE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS IS LOST, ONE SURRENDERS COMPLETELY TO THE MOMENT AND TIME MEANS NOTHING.
  • 31. THE 8 CHARACTERISTICS OF FLOW Complete concentration on the task. Clarity of goals and reward in mind and immediate feedback. Transformation of time (speeding up/slowing down of time). The experience is intrinsically rewarding. Effortlessness and ease. There is a balance between challenge and skills. Actions and awareness are merged, losing self- conscious rumination. There is a feeling of control over the task.
  • 32. WHO EXPERIENCES FLOW? • ‘’AUTOTELIC PERSONALITIES’’ TEND TO EXPERIENCE MORE FLOW. • THEY TEND TO DO THINGS FOR THEIR OWN SAKE RATHER THAN CHASING SOME DISTANT EXTERNAL GOAL. • IN A RECENT STUDY INVESTIGATING ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN FLOW AND THE 5-PERSONALITY TYPES, THEY FOUND A NEGATIVE CORRELATION WITH NEUROTICISM AND A POSITIVE CORRELATION BETWEEN CONSCIENTIOUSNESS WITH THE STATE OF FLOW. • CONSCIENTIOUS INDIVIDUALS ARE MORE LIKELY TO SPEND TIME ON MASTERING CHALLENGING TASKS, WHICH ARE CHARACTERISTICS IMPORTANT FOR FLOW EXPERIENCE.
  • 33. WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BRAIN DURING FLOW? • ACCORDING TO DIETRICH, IT HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH DECREASED ACTIVITY IN THE PREFRONTAL CORTEX. • THIS TEMPORARY INACTIVATION OF THE PREFRONTAL AREA MAY TRIGGER THE FEELING OF DISTORTION OF TIME, LOSS OF SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS, AND LOSS OF INNER-CRITIC. • MOREOVER, THE INHIBITION OF THE PREFRONTAL LOBE MAY ENABLE THE IMPLICIT MIND TO TAKE OVER, RESULTING IN MORE BRAIN AREAS TO COMMUNICATE FREELY AND ENGAGE IN A CREATIVE PROCESS.
  • 34. HOW TO GET INTO THE FLOW? • A FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO DUMP YOUR SMARTPHONE. • “INDUCING FLOW IS ABOUT THE BALANCE BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF SKILL AND THE SIZE OF THE CHALLENGE AT HAND.” • THE EXPERIENCE OF FLOW IN EVERYDAY LIFE IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF CREATIVITY AND WELL-BEING. • IT CAN BE PRESCRIBED AS A KEY ASPECT OF ‘’EUDAIMONIA’’ OR SELF- ACTUALIZATION IN AN INDIVIDUAL, A CONTRADICTORY TERM TO “HEDONIA” OR PLEASURE.
  • 38. THEORY OF POSITIVE DISINTEGRATION (DABROWSKI)
  • 39. UNILEVEL DISINTEGRATION • UNILEVEL DISINTEGRATION OCCURS DURING DEVELOPMENTAL CRISES SUCH AS PUBERTY OR MENOPAUSE, IN PERIODS OF DIFFICULTY IN HANDLING SOME STRESSFUL EXTERNAL EVENT, OR UNDER PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOPATHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS SUCH AS NERVOUSNESS AND PSYCHONEUROSIS.
  • 40. MULTILEVEL DISINTEGRATION • IN MULTILEVEL DISINTEGRATION THERE IS A COMPLICATION OF THE UNILEVEL PROCESS BY THE INVOLVEMENT OF ADDITIONAL HIERARCHICAL LEVELS, WHICH MOVE THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE DIRECTION OF HIS PERSONALITY IDEAL. • “THE ACTIONS OF MULTILEVEL DISINTEGRATION ARE LARGELY CONSCIOUS, INDEPENDENT, AND INFLUENTIAL IN DETERMINING PERSONALITY STRUCTURE” (DĄBROWSKI, 1964, P. 8).
  • 41. SECONDARY INTEGRATION • AS SECONDARY INTEGRATION INCREASES, INTERNAL PSYCHIC TENSION DECREASES, AS DOES MOVEMENT UPWARD OR DOWNWARD OF THE DISPOSING AND DIRECTING CENTER, WITH THE CONSERVATION, NEVERTHELESS, OF ABILITY TO REACT FLEXIBLY TO DANGER. • “THE DISINTEGRATION PROCESS, AS IT TAKES PLACE POSITIVELY, TRANSFORMS ITSELF INTO AN ORDERED SEQUENCE ACCOMPANIED BY AN INCREASING DEGREE OF CONSCIOUSNESS” (DĄBROWSKI, 1964, P. 21).
  • 42. DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL • DABROWSKI'S "OE" THEORY IS THAT PEOPLE BORN WITH OVEREXCITABILITIES HAVE A HIGHER LEVEL OF "DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL" THAN OTHERS AND THAT OVEREXCITABILITIES FEED, ENRICH, EMPOWER AND AMPLIFY THEIR TALENTS. • THE DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL OF AN INDIVIDUAL, DEFINED BY DABROWSKI (1964) AS THE, “ORIGINAL ENDOWMENT DETERMINING THE LEVEL TO WHICH AN INDIVIDUAL CAN DEVELOP, IF HIS PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS ARE OPTIMAL...”
  • 43. 5 LEVELS OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
  • 44. DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL AND OVEREXCITABILITY • PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IS LARGELY THE RESULT OF THE IMPACT OF FORMS OF DEVELOPMENTAL POTENTIAL (DP), NOTABLY, OVEREXCITABILITY (OE). • THIS OVEREXCITABILITY MAY LEAD TO A LONG COURSE OF DEVELOPMENTAL CRISES (POSITIVE DISINTEGRATIONS) AND CHALLENGES THAT CULMINATE IN THE EMERGENCE OF AN AUTONOMOUS, SELF CRAFTED PERSONALITY. • DĄBROWSKI OBSERVED THAT INDIVIDUALS WITH STRONG OE EXPERIENCE CRISES IN A STRONGER, DEEPER AND MORE PERSONAL MANNER. • THE INTENSE EXPERIENCE OF CRISES CREATES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CONSCIOUS AND VOLITIONAL REARRANGEMENT OF THE SELF INCLUDING A REFORMULATION AND REPRIORITIZATION OF ONE'S VALUES AND BELIEFS. • THE INDIVIDUAL FORMS A NEW IMAGE OF HIS OR HER IDEAL PERSONALITY. • WITH THIS IDEAL AS A GUIDE, THE LOWER ASPECTS OF THE SELF ARE INHIBITED AND HIGHER GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS EMPHASIZED.
  • 45. 5 OVEREXCITABILITIES FROM DABROWSKI Psychomotor Sensual Intellectual Imaginational Emotional
  • 46. 5 OVEREXCITABILITIES FROM DABROWSKI 1) THE PSYCHOMOTOR OVEREXCITABILITY IS COMMON IN GIFTED CHILDREN. • IT IS CHARACTERIZED PRIMARILY BY HIGH LEVELS OF ENERGY. • CHILDREN WITH THIS OE ALSO MAY BE MISDIAGNOSED AS ADHD. 2) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF SENSUAL INTENSITY IS A HEIGHTENED AWARENESS OF ALL FIVE SENSES. • SIGHT, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH, HEARING. 3) INTELLECTUAL INTENSITY IS THE ONE MOST RECOGNIZED IN GIFTED CHILDREN. 4) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF IMAGINATIONAL INTENSITY IS THE FREE PLAY OF THE IMAGINATION. 5) THE PRIMARY SIGN OF EMOTIONAL INTENSITY IS EXCEPTIONAL EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY.
  • 47. INDICATORS OF PSYCHOMOTOR OVEREXCITABILITY • RAPID SPEECH • IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR • COMPETITIVENESS • COMPULSIVE TALKING • COMPULSIVE ORGANIZING • NERVOUS HABITS AND TICS • PREFERENCE FOR FAST ACTION AND SPORTS • PHYSICAL EXPRESSION OF EMOTIONS • SLEEPLESSNESS
  • 48. INDICATORS OF SENSUAL OVEREXCITABILITY • APPRECIATION OF BEAUTY, WHETHER IN WRITING, MUSIC, ART OR NATURE, INCLUDING THE LOVE OF OBJECTS LIKE JEWELRY. • SENSITIVE TO SMELLS, TASTES, OR TEXTURES OF FOODS. • SENSITIVITY TO POLLUTION. • TACTILE SENSITIVITY (BOTHERED BY FEEL OF SOME MATERIALS ON THE SKIN, CLOTHING TAGS). • CRAVING FOR PLEASURE. • NEED OR DESIRE FOR COMFORT.
  • 49. INDICATORS OF INTELLECTUAL OVEREXCITABILITY • DEEP CURIOSITY • LOVE OF KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING • LOVE OF PROBLEM-SOLVING • AVID READING • ASKING PROBING QUESTIONS • THEORETICAL THINKING • ANALYTICAL THINKING • INDEPENDENT THINKING • CONCENTRATION, ABILITY TO MAINTAIN INTELLECTUAL EFFORT
  • 50. INDICATORS OF IMAGINATIONAL OVEREXCITABILITY • VIVID DREAMS • FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN • GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR • MAGICAL THINKING • LOVE OF POETRY, MUSIC, AND DRAMA • LOVE OF FANTASY • DAYDREAMING • IMAGINARY FRIENDS • DETAILED VISUALIZATION
  • 51. INDICATORS OF EMOTIONAL OVEREXCITABILITY • EXTREMES OF EMOTION • ANXIETY • FEELINGS OF GUILT AND SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY • FEELINGS OF INADEQUACY AND INFERIORITY • TIMIDITY AND SHYNESS • LONELINESS
  • 52. INDICATORS OF EMOTIONAL OVEREXCITABILITY • CONCERN FOR OTHERS • A HEIGHTENED SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG OR INJUSTICE AND HYPOCRISY • STRONG MEMORY OF FEELINGS • PROBLEMS ADJUSTING TO CHANGE • DEPRESSION • NEED FOR SECURITY • PHYSICAL RESPONSE TO EMOTIONS (STOMACH ACHES CAUSED BY ANXIETY, FOR EXAMPLE)
  • 53. TAKE THE OE TEST HTTPS://WWW.POWERWOOD.ORG.UK/CHILDREN- WITH-OVEREXCITABILITIES/OVEREXCITABILITIES- FORM/
  • 54. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT AND POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH • DĄBROWSKI PRESENTS A THEORY OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT BASED ON AN INTERPLAY OF POTENTIALS, DISINTEGRATIONS OF LOWER FUNCTIONS AND RE-INTEGRATIONS OF HIGHER FEATURES MARKED BY A MULTILEVEL, HIERARCHICAL VIEW OF LIFE. • THE THEORY IS A FORERUNNER OF WHAT TODAY IS CALLED POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH.
  • 55. POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH • POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH (PTG) OR BENEFIT FINDING IS POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL CHANGE EXPERIENCED AS A RESULT OF ADVERSITY AND OTHER CHALLENGES IN ORDER TO RISE TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF FUNCTIONING. • THESE CIRCUMSTANCES REPRESENT SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES TO THE ADAPTIVE RESOURCES OF THE INDIVIDUAL, AND POSE SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES TO THEIR WAY OF UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD AND THEIR PLACE IN IT. • POSTTRAUMATIC GROWTH INVOLVES "LIFE-CHANGING" PSYCHOLOGICAL SHIFTS IN THINKING AND RELATING TO THE WORLD, THAT CONTRIBUTE TO A PERSONAL PROCESS OF CHANGE, THAT IS DEEPLY MEANINGFUL.
  • 59. HIGHLY GIFTED PEOPLE (JOAN FREEMAN) • 2% OF THE POPULATION IS IDENTIFIED AS HIGHLY GIFTED. • PIECHOWSKI (2003) STATES THAT “GIFTEDNESS IN NOT A MATTER OF DEGREE BUT OF A DIFFERENT QUALITY OF EXPERIENCING...”. • A SMALL AMOUNT OF DEFINITIVE RESEARCH HAS LED TO THE BELIEF THAT INTENSITY, SENSITIVITY AND OVEREXCITABILITY ARE PRIMARY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HIGHLY GIFTED. • IT IS PROBABLY NOT INCORRECT TO SAY THAT ALTHOUGH NOT ALL HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE ARE GIFTED, ALL GIFTED PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE.
  • 60. OVEREXCITABILITIES IN GIFTED PEOPLE • OVEREXCITABILITY IS A HEIGHTENED PHYSIOLOGICAL EXPERIENCE OF STIMULI RESULTING FROM INCREASED NEURONAL SENSITIVITIES. • THE GREATER THE OE, THE MORE INTENSE ARE THE DAY-TO-DAY EXPERIENCES OF LIFE. • “AN INDIVIDUAL WITH STRONG OVEREXCITABILITIES WILL EXPERIENCE LIFE MORE RICHLY AND PROCESS IT MORE COMPLEXLY THAN OTHERS WITH LESS OR NO OVEREXCITABILITY AND WHO ARE EXPOSED TO THE SAME LIFE EXPERIENCES” (BOUCHARD, 2004, P. 340). • OVEREXCITABILITIES ARE NOT ABILITIES; RATHER, THEY ARE MODES OF EXPERIENCING THE WORLD (PIECHOWSKI & COLANGELO, 1984). • PERSONALITY DETERMINES THE SUCCESS OF GIFTED PEOPLE (TAKING THE OPPORTUNITIES).
  • 64. GIFT OF HIGH SENSITIVITY “IT IS NO MEASURE OF HEALTH TO BE WELL ADJUSTED TO A PROFOUNDLY SICK SOCIETY” (KRISHNA). “ LOVE AND COMPASSION ARE NECESSITIES NOT LUXURIES” (GANDHI).
  • 65. SENSORY PROCESSING SENSITIVITY 2 KINDS OF BEINGS EXIST IN EVERY SPECIES: • HIGH RESPONSIVENESS/REACTIVITY/ALERTNESS/AWARENE SS • LOW RESPONSIVENESS/REACTIVITY/ALERTNESS/AWARENE SS • SEROTONIN GENE (SENSORY PROCESSING SENSITIVITY OF THE NS).
  • 66. ARE YOU AN HSP? • ARE YOU "TOO SHY" OR "TOO SENSITIVE" ACCORDING TO OTHERS? • DO YOU HAVE A KEEN IMAGINATION AND VIVID DREAMS? • IS TIME ALONE EACH DAY AS ESSENTIAL TO YOU AS FOOD AND WATER? • DO NOISE AND CONFUSION QUICKLY OVERWHELM YOU? • DID YOU HAVE MELTDOWNS AND TANTRUMS AS A CHILD? • IF YOUR ANSWERS ARE YES, YOU MAY BE A HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON (HSP).
  • 67. HIGH SENSITIVITY TRAIT • ABOUT 1 IN 5 PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE - AND MOST DON'T KNOW IT. • NOR DO THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM. • THEY JUST KNOW THAT THEIR LOVED ONE CAN CRY EASILY, REACT TO SITUATIONS THAT OTHERS JUST SHRUG THEIR SHOULDERS AT, AND OTHERWISE TAKE THINGS JUST TOO PERSONALLY. • MOST OF US FEEL OVERSTIMULATED OCCASIONALLY, BUT FOR THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.
  • 68. HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON PROFILE • 20% OF PEOPLE WERE BORN HIGHLY SENSITIVE (1% OF POPULATION WITH AN EXTREMELY SENSITIVE NERVOUS SYSTEM – SMART, CREATIVE, EMPATHETIC BUT ALSO ANXIOUS). • THEY THINK MORE DEEPLY ABOUT EVERYTHING, THEY ARE MORE EASILY OVERSTIMULATED, HAVE MORE EMPATHY FOR OTHERS AND THEY SENSE MORE OF THE SUBTLETIES IN ANYTHING. • HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE'S SYSTEMS ARE VERY POROUS, MEANING THAT EXTERNAL STIMULI SEEMS TO BE MORE DIRECTLY ABSORBED INTO THEIR BODIES. • HSP’S ARE EVEN CREATIVE DURING THEIR DREAMTIME WHEN THEY DO NOT FEEL JUDGED BY OTHERS AND THEY ARE VERY PSYCHIC.
  • 69. HSP AND DOES • D: DEPTH OF PROCESSING • O: EASILY OVERSTIMULATED • E: EMOTIONAL RESPONSIVENESS – MORE EMPATHY • INSULA ACTIVATION – SENSORY INPUT. • HIGHER ACTIVITY OF MIRROR NEURONS. • DEEPER INFORMATION PROCESSING. • S: SUBTLE STIMULI
  • 70. HSP’S AND THE 5 SENSES • HSP’S HAVE HEIGHTENED REACTIVITY TO THEIR SENSES AND THE ENVIRONMENT. • THEY SENSE MORE DEEPLY (TASTE, SMELL, SIGHT, HEARING, TOUCH) AND FEEL STRONGER EMOTIONS.
  • 71. HIGH SENSITIVITY AND TALENTS • HSP’S ARE RATHER COOPERATIVE THAN COMPETITIVE. • HSP’S ARE MORE CREATIVE AND EMPATHETIC, CONSCIENTIOUS, INTROSPECTIVE, INTUITIVE AND HIGHLY SPIRITUAL AND PSYCHIC. • HSP’S ARE VERY GOOD LEADERS, COUNSELORS, PRIESTLY ADVISORS, HEALERS.
  • 72. HIGH SENSITIVITY AND OVERSTIMULATION • HSP’S ARE MORE PRAWN TO BURNOUT AND SLEEPING PROBLEMS. A LOT OF MIGRAINE PATIENTS ARE ALSO HSP BUT NOT ALL HSP HAVE MIGRAINES. • HSP’S HAVE LOWER THRESHOLDS FOR STRESS AND TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS. • INDIVIDUALS WITH HIGH SENSORY-PROCESSING SENSITIVITY HAVE LOW STIMULUS SENSITIVITY THRESHOLDS. • HSP’S NEED MORE DOWNTIME THAN OTHERS (MEDITATION, PRAYER, CREATIVE EXPRESSION, LONG SLEEP, FREQUENT VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS). • MEDITATION HAS AN EFFECT 200 MILES AROUND US. STUDY HIGH CRIME ZONE VERSUS LOW CRIME ZONE.
  • 74. THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE CHILD (ELAINE ARON) • HS CHILDREN NOTICE QUITE EARLY THAT THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CHILDREN. • IN ADOLESCENCE THE DIFFERENCE IS NOT SO OBVIOUS BUT IN THEIR LATE 20’S AND EARLY 30’S THEY CLEARLY NOTICE THAT THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PEOPLE. • HS CHILDREN PERFORM BETTER IN A CALM ENVIRONMENT WHEREAS ADHD CHILDREN PERFORM WORSE. Editor's Notes

  1. Comparative Mythology: While Joseph Campbell’s monomyth works best with the traditional form of the quest—folk and fairy tales, myths, legends, and other fantasies—it can be applied to many different genres or types of stories. A quest does not have to include swords and monsters. It can just as easily occur in the real world. The monomyth, ageless and universal, exists anywhere and everywhere.
  2. Mystical theology is the branch of theology that explains mystical practices and states, as induced by contemplative practices such as contemplative prayer. It is a branch of Christian theology which focuses on experiences ("states of the soul") that are believed to have no physical or mental cause (i.e. "states" that are "mystical"). In Roman Catholic teaching, such states do not come about even with the ordinary aid of divine grace. The Dark Night of the Soul is a painful process that heralds change, transformation and ultimately embodiment of the Divine. It involves a complete regeneration of the soul, which is being progressively infused by the Holy Spirit and raised up to the Divine. The nights which the soul experiences are the two necessary purgations on the path to Divine union: the first purgation is of the sensory or sensitive part of the soul, the second of the spiritual part. Such purgations comprise the first of the three stages of the mystical journey, followed by those of illumination and then union. Dark Night of the Soul further describes the ten steps on the ladder of mystical love. The thesis of the poem of St. John of the Cross is the joyful experience of being guided to God. The only light in this dark night is that which burns in the soul.
  3. Abide in Christ (Andrew Murray) If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love (Jn 15:10). Promises – Comforts; Commandments – Revelation of the Divine Love, guides into the deeper experience of Divine Life, blessed helpers on the path to a closer Union with the Lord. The Union with the Son of Man is a union for life but you have to give your free consent. It is a restoration of the communion with God, like-mindedness to Christ. With Christ you begin to bear the burden of souls, the burden of sins not your own and you are ready to follow his footsteps to forsake the heaven of your own happiness and to win the souls Christ has taught you to love. Through suffering, God leads us closer to the love of Jesus. The vessel is cleansed for the Master’s use, prepared for every good work. Through affliction, blessings are prepared for you. Everything you give up for the sake of the love of Christ, will be returned to you a hundredfold in this life. The comforting/consolation comes through partaking in his holiness and grace. When you are reborn to a new life, you partake in Christ’s Divine nature. You become one with him. You are the revelation of Christ on earth. You will beer much fruit. Amidst those who surround you, you become the Tree of Life, of which they can taste and be refreshed. In your circle, you will become a center of life and blessings. You can impart the spirit and life received from Christ to others. You become a vehicle for his influence and authority on earth. You receive from Christ the spirit of love and compassion for sinners, making you desirous to seek their good. You begin too look upon loving, saving and serving your fellow men as the highest privilege a disciple of Jesus can have. The desire to be a blessing is but the beginning. Abiding in Christ, you receive new courage and strength for your work. You claim and expect blessings. This reassurance gives a brightness to your look, a gentle firmness to your tone and a perseverance to all your efforts. Abiding in Christ is a life of exquisite and overflowing happiness. Confidence, courage and patience find their inspiration in joy. Joy is an essential characteristic of a Christian as Christ gets more complete possession of the soul. His joy is ours. It is the joy of souls redeemed. It is a joy that is never to cease. No man can take it from you. Jesus on his last day mentions: (1) the parable of the vine, (2) Ask and you shall receive, (3) These things I speak that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. There are three streams by which his perfect joy flows into our hearts: (1) Abiding in Christ, (2) Penetrating into the very depths of his life and heart, (3) Seeking for the perfect oneness. The paradox of Christian life is the combined feeling of (1) all the bitterness of earth and (2) all the joy of heaven. Being all sorrowful yet always rejoicing. Jesus Commandment: Love one another as I have loved you. Jesus came to reveal God’s love, a love that is not from this earth. It is the love that gave itself to die. We are called to love like Christ, who himself loved like the Father. We learn to love with a love that is not our own. Love is the new covenant, the token of discipleship. Love has made them members of one body. Forgiving 7 times 7. Whosoever abides in him does not sin. The Divine promise is that sin shall not have dominion over you. As we abide in him, he abides in us. Union and fellowship are the secret of a holy life. Christ admits sinners into life union with him through confession. Salvation without virtue is utterly impossible. There is a difference between (1) having sin (a sinful nature) and (2) doing sin (falling into transgression. You can have sin but yet not do sin. Abiding in Christ ensues something better and higher than restraining from sin, a vessel purified and cleansed and a channel of showing forth his power, his blessing and his glory. We must become like a polished diamond that reflects light. The power of Jesus is made manifest in his members. Our weakness accepted is our secret to success. Feebleness and strength go side by side. We gain victory through Christ. He is our sanctification. “But ye shall receive power. From on high, with which they were to be endured” (Luke 24:49). There are many mansions in the house of my father but not many routes leading there. (1) All our strength is in Christ, (2) this power flows into us as we abide in close union with him, (3) the Holy Spirit will work mightily in us. To loose your own life is the secret of faith. At conversion you become partaker of Christ’s death. We will be dead to sin and alive to God. Christ will be thy life. There is no way to the altar of conversion but through death, to be consumed by the fire who is ever burning there. Holiness according to the New Covenant, “I will put my laws in their minds and my fear in their hearts that they shall not depart from me”. Men should keep the Covenant. There are two parties in every covenant. Jesus is our Divine assurance for the fulfillment of every promise that God has ever made. He that abides in Christ learns what it means to be crucified and to partake in his resurrected life and the glory he has now been crowned with in heaven. The mystery of the resurrected life is the ever living priesthood of Jesus Christ. Mysteries begin to disappear as we educate our souls. Mysteries are truth not yet understood. Unspeakable blessings flow to the soul in union with Jesus in his glorified life. It is a life of perfect victory and rest. The power of sin and flesh are destroyed. It is a dwelling in the secret of the Father’s presence. The spirit is sanctified into growing harmony with the Father’s will. The glorious life is streaming from the head to every member of the body. The life begins to shine with a brightness not of this world. The spirit and love of Jesus awakens the will to be a blessing to others. You become a channel through which the fulness of Jesus flows out to bless those around you. This journey is about the coming bridegroom and the waiting bride. Both are excited. Abide in him, so that at his coming you have confidence and are not ashamed.
  4. The Interior Castle is divided into seven mansions (also called dwelling places), each level describing a step to get closer to God. God is drawing the soul closer and closer to himself until there is union of will with the Divine will. Harmony of will is a central element of our fellowship with Christ. We will be granted a deeper insight into the will of God concerning our life. The Divine water begins to rise into the most recessing parts of the soul (through water pipes/Nadis). It feels as if the interior is being dilated or enlarged. The more the water comes in, the greater and wider does the vessel become to contain the water. Metaphorically, heat or a delicious smell moves through the soul (Kundalini rising/subtle energy). The superior part of the soul resides on top of the head (Crown Chakra). The heart is the center of the soul (Heart Chakra). Entrance into the first mansions through prayer and meditation. First three mansions: active prayer and ascetism. The fourth through seventh mansions are considered to be mystical or contemplative prayer. The highest mansions can only be gained by being in a state of grace through the Church sacraments, fervent devotion of the soul's will to Christ, and humbly receiving a love so great it is beyond human capability or description. The condition is complete self-annihilation.
  5. Concealed and revealed God The nature of the divine prompted kabbalists to envision two aspects to God: (a) God in essence, absolutely transcendent, unknowable, limitless divine simplicity, and (b) God in manifestation, the revealed persona of God through which he creates and sustains and relates to mankind. Kabbalists believe that these two aspects are not contradictory but complement one another, emanations revealing the concealed mystery from within the Godhead. Sephirot The Sephirot are the ten emanations and attributes of God with which he continually sustains the existence of the universe. Ten Sephirot as process of Creation According to Lurianic cosmology, the sephirot correspond to various levels of creation and are emanated from the Creator for the purpose of creating the universe. It is not God who changes but the ability to perceive God that changes. Ten Sephirot as process of ethics Divine creation by means of the Ten Sephirot is an ethical process. They represent the different aspects of Morality. Loving-Kindness is a possible moral justification found in Chessed, and Gevurah is the Moral Justification of Justice and both are mediated by Mercy which is Rachamim. Divine Feminine The Shekhinah represents the feminine attributes of the presence of God. The Shekhinah is referred to as manifest in the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem throughout Rabbinic literature. It is also reported as being present in the acts of public prayer. The feminine Divine presence in this world is drawn from exile to the Holy One Above. In particular, the shekhinah is a holy fire that resides within the home of a married couple. The shekhinah is the highest of six types of holy fire. When a married couple is worthy of this manifestation, all other types of fire are consumed by it. Descending spiritual worlds Medieval Kabbalists believed that all things are linked to God through these emanations, making all levels in creation part of one great, gradually descending chain of being. Through this any lower creation reflects its particular characteristics in Supernal Divinity. Origin of evil Among problems considered in the Hebrew Kabbalah is the theological issue of the nature and origin of evil. The demonic realm, though illusory in its holy origin, becomes the real apparent realm of impurity in lower Creation. Role of Man Kabbalistic doctrine gives man the central role in Creation, as his soul and body correspond to the supernal divine manifestations. In the Christian Kabbalah this scheme was universalized to describe Harmonia Mundi, the harmony of Creation within man. Levels of the soul The Kabbalah posits that the human soul has three elements, the nefesh, ru'ach, and neshamah. The nefesh is found in all humans, and enters the physical body at birth. It is the source of one's physical and psychological nature. The next two parts of the soul are not implanted at birth, but can be developed over time; their development depends on the actions and beliefs of the individual. Nefesh (נפש): the lower part, or "animal part", of the soul. It is linked to instincts and bodily cravings. This part of the soul is provided at birth. Ruach (רוח): the middle soul, the "spirit". It contains the moral virtues and the ability to distinguish between good and evil. Neshamah (נשמה): the higher soul, or "super-soul". This separates man from all other life-forms. It is related to the intellect and allows man to enjoy and benefit from the afterlife. It allows one to have some awareness of the existence and presence of God. Chayyah (חיה): The part of the soul that allows one to have an awareness of the divine life force itself. Yehidah (יחידה): The highest plane of the soul, in which one can achieve as full a union with God as is possible. Reincarnation Reincarnation, the transmigration of the soul after death, was introduced into Judaism as a central esoteric tenet of Kabbalah from the Medieval period onwards, called Gilgul neshamot ("cycles of the soul"). The Kabbalists explained a number of scriptural passages in reference to Gilgulim. Tzimtzum, Shevirah and Tikkun Tzimtzum (Constriction/Concentration) is the primordial cosmic act whereby God "contracted" His infinite light, leaving a "void" into which the light of existence was poured. Historical and individual history becomes the narrative of reclaiming exiled Divine sparks. Linguistic mysticism of Hebrew Kabbalistic thought extended Biblical and Midrashic notions that God enacted Creation through the Hebrew language and through the Torah into a full linguistic mysticism. In this, every Hebrew letter, word, number, even accent on words of the Hebrew Bible contain esoteric meanings. Hebrew name of things is the channel of their lifeforce. By converting letters to numbers, Kabbalists were able to find a hidden meaning in each word. The symbol of the two trees of the Garden of Eden; the Torah of the Tree of Knowledge is the external, Halachic Torah, through which mystics can perceive the unlimited Torah of the Tree of Life.
  6. Magic: usage of upper forces to in order to manipulate people and to cause outcomes for our own benefit. It is impossible to contact upper forces at all unless a person changes their moral inner nature.
  7. Jewish Kabbalah is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between God, the unchanging, eternal, and mysterious (The Infinite), and the mortal and finite universe (God's creation). It forms the foundation of mystical religious interpretations within Judaism. Traditional practitioners believe its earliest origins pre-date world religions, forming the primordial blueprint for Creation's philosophies, religions, sciences, arts, and political systems.

Perceiving emotions represents a basic aspect of emotional intelligence, as it makes all other processing of emotional information possible. Using emotions – the ability to harness emotions to facilitate various cognitive activities, such as thinking and problem solving. The emotionally intelligent person can capitalize fully upon his or her changing moods in order to best fit the task at hand. Understanding emotions – the ability to comprehend emotion language and to appreciate complicated relationships among emotions. For example, understanding emotions encompasses the ability to be sensitive to slight variations between emotions, and the ability to recognize and describe how emotions evolve over time. Managing emotions – the ability to regulate emotions in both ourselves and in others. Therefore, the emotionally intelligent person can harness emotions, even negative ones, and manage them to achieve intended goals.
  16. Sensitive children are often misdiagnosed with ADHD and autism, and they sometimes have difficulties at school and at home. This book discusses natural and spiritual methods to help sensitive children misdiagnosed with ADHD and autism. Since the 1970s, parents and schoolteachers have noticed that children are becoming increasingly more sensitive, aware, and psychic. The first generation of the new children were the Indigos, followed in the 1990s by the Crystal Children. Now, the new Rainbow Children are starting to emerge. Doreen discusses the characteristics of the Indigos, Crystals, and Rainbows, and describes their souls' purpose and the beautiful messages they have for all of us. Doreen Virtue discusses natural and spiritual methods to help the Indigo, Crystal, and Rainbow Children live happier lives.

A quest does not have to include swords and monsters. It can just as easily occur in the real world. The monomyth, ageless and universal, exists anywhere and everywhere.
  19. Heroes exist in a world that is considered ordinary or uneventful by those who live there. Often the heroes are considered odd by those in the ordinary world and possess some ability or characteristic that makes them feel out-of-place.
  20. For heroes to begin their journeys, they must be called away from the ordinary world. Fantastic quests don’t happen in everyday life. Heroes must be removed from their typical environment. Most heroes show a reluctance to leave their home environment. Usually there is a discovery, some event, or some danger that starts them on the heroic path. Heroes find a mystic object or discover their world is in danger. The new world the hero is forced into is much different than the old one.
  21. During the Call to Adventure heroes are given a task or quest which only they can complete. They are faced with a choice: accept the quest or deny it. A refusal of the quest only brings trouble.
  22. As they embark on their journey, the heroes enter a world they have never experienced before. Very often it is filled with supernatural creatures, breathtaking sights, and the constant threat of death. Unlike the heroes’ home, this outside world has its own rules, and they quickly learns to respect these rules as their endurance, strength, and mettle are tested time and time again.
  23. Supernatural doesn’t have to mean magical. Supernatural simply means “above the laws of nature.” Heroes are almost always started on their journey by a character who has mastered the laws of the outside world and come back to bestow this wisdom upon them. This supernatural character often gives them the means to complete the quest. Some of the time the gift is simply wisdom. Other times it is an object with magical powers. In every instance it is something the hero needs to succeed.
  24. A special (and often magical) item that assist the heroes on their quest.
  25. Every hero needs a helper, much like every superhero needs a sidekick. Without the assistance of their companions and helpers along the way, most heroes would fail miserably.
  26. Typically, there is a reward given to heroes for passing the Supreme Ordeal. It could be a kingdom. It could be the hand of a beautiful princess. It could be the Holy Grail. Whatever it is, it is a reward for the heroes’ endurance and strength. After the heroes complete the Supreme Ordeal and have the reward firmly in hand, all that is left is for them to return home. Just because the majority of the adventure has passed doesn’t mean that the return journey will be smooth sailing. There are still lesser homebound obstacles to overcome.
  27. Success on the heroes’ quest is life-changing, for them and often for many others. By achieving victory, they have changed or preserved their original world. Often they return with “the exilir,” an object or personal ability that allows them to save their world. The heroes have also grown in spirit and strength. They have proved themselves worthy for marriage, kingship, or queenship. Their mastery of the outside world qualifies them to be giants in their own.
