The document discusses the heart of the apostolic anointing. It states that the apostolic anointing: 1) equips and influences the church for effective ministry, 2) delivers the greatest sinner and unlocks God's potential in them, and 3) took ordinary men and turned them into apostles who established God's kingdom. The focus of the apostolic anointing is on helping the saints reach where God wants them, not on the gifted person. It raises up builders through commitment, suffering, and effort and restores what was lost like integrity, authority, and true worship.
Paul goes out of his way in Galatians 1:11-24 to emphasize that he was called by Jesus Himself, not by one of the Apostles. His calling has the same standing as theirs… a direct invitation from Jesus. We quickly see that Paul operates independently of the other apostles, but it is not an unhealthy independence. He does consult with Peter and the others and they recognize the legitimacy of his message. An interesting part of Paul’s autobiographic description of these early years of his preparation is a three-year period of time spent in “Arabia.” He was not in Saudi Arabia, but rather in the Nabatean kingdom which included many important Gentile population centers east of the Jordan River. When Jesus ministered in the Decapolis, he was ministering in this same region. This is not only a time where Paul reflects upon the gospel and hones his message of grace. It is also a time where he likely honed his skills in communicating the gospel to Gentiles. It is this time that, in part, accounts for his effectiveness during His missionary journeys. There are a couple of lessons for us. First, to properly discern God’s call upon your life and live into that calling. Secondly, to take time to be equipped and hone, by God’s grace, the skills that you will need to be effective.
This describes briefly the notion of a "spiritual growth horizon" which is the spectrum of how churches interact with people, both the churched and non-churched. It articulates how Mass Ignition broadens the spectrum.

An apostolic Community is one where the people are living in the benefit of the apostolic dimension.
It is important to understand the nature of apostolic communities for accurate positioning, planning and expectation.
Understanding apostolic community will inform our value systems and provide a new measuring rod by which to evaluate quality and direction.
Reformation always causes the blessings of God to be released in a greater way.
Without reformation, the Church becomes stagnant and eventually loses the full blessing of God.
Through reformation, multitudes are blessed and released into their individual destinies.
The Church also begins to walk in corporate destiny and release salvation and blessing to multitudes.
Transition is sometimes difficult because it requires humility and a willingness to make sacrifices.
There will be a grace given by the Lord to make the change.

1. THE HEART OF THE APOSTOLIC ANOINTING
ISAIAH 61
First: The Apostolic anointing EFFECTS the Church: It INFLUENCES / EQUIPS the Saints for effective ministry.
The Apostolic Anointing WILL deliver the greatest sinner and make him / her a son / daughter of GOD, and then
UNLOCKING the potential of GOD in that person.
Jesus, who brought and introduced the Apostolic Anointing took ordinary young men and turned them into Apostles
who established the Kingdom of GOD.
LEADERSHIP is the ability to influence others / somebody to take a course of action which they are to reach where
GOD wants then to reach. This is typically the heart of the Apostolic Anointing, to focus more on the Saints than on
self. The FIVE-fold’s focus is not the gifted person, BUT the people who needs to receive the ministry of the GIFTS
(5-fold).
HEART / SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP:
1 > Raising up BUILDERS; NOT converts? through TIME; COMMITMENT; SUFFERING (Hebr 2:10); EFFORT
2 > RESTORERS (v4): Structures that will enhance development; Acts 3:19-21
Developing/ment of excellence; leaders; growth; worship;
What is excellence??
Development of self; have a plan
3 > RESTORE what is lost; integrity; authority; sons; men; women; serving; commitment; true worship; prayer; holy
living; evangelism; etc
Apostolic Anointing brings back what is lost
4 > PRODUCING SONS; people with a kindred spirit – Phil 2:19-22
5 > FOREIGNERS will be your farmers and vinedressers; Apostolic Anointing will establish you in your position
and it will define the role of others (sons) who will join you.
They will be involved and we who have the Apostolic Anointing will help them define their roles / give them
identity and affirm their calling and purpose / value
6 > DISTINCTIVE CHARACTER / MARK; on the offspring (spiritual children), because they will understand GOD’s
order of father – son; Acts 4: 13
