The Globe Theatre was an important building in London built in 1599 along the Thames River. It was built by Peter Street and associated with William Shakespeare, hosting many of his plays. The original theatre burned down in 1613 but was rebuilt on the same site by 1614. It was an important theatre located in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.
