The document outlines the Global Youth Parliament for Intercultural Dialogue (GYPID). It was founded by Amro Selim and Idriss Zackaria to provide a platform for youth worldwide to exchange ideas, discuss controversial topics, and participate in online and in-person dialogues. The GYPID aims to promote intercultural understanding, democratic values, and social cohesion among youth. It will operate as a virtual parliament and conduct regional elections to give youth a voice on issues affecting them.
Young people are promoting understanding and providing education on the values of tolerance and coexistence, especially in areas affected by an influx of refugees and conflict. Learn how the Rotaract Club of Nicosia-Aspelia, Cyprus, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nicosia-Aspelia, is working with NGOs to create awareness and dialogue among refugees and non-refugees, asylum seekers, and their host communities.

of the Mediterranean Arab countries, Turkey and Israel
jointly launched the Barcelona Process. It was the most
ambitious multilateral project of cooperation the region
had ever known, ultimately aimed at creating a shared
space of peace, stability and prosperity.
None of the three goals have been attained. There have
of course been positive developments. Among them,
the most important is probably the awakening of the
civil society in the last years and its renewed capacity
to become a player for social change in the region.
Since 2010, we have observed converging demands
of freedom, dignity and social justice that constitute a
powerful and exciting reality. As a matter of fact, there
are new and stimulating reasons for hope, but there are
also perturbing causes for concern. On both shores of
the Mediterranean.
Social harmony is peaceful interaction of human dynamics among members of a social group or groups. Basic survival and subsistence families or complex societies develop and thrive on some form of social harmony.

6. WHO WE ARE
The Global Youth Parliament for Intercultural
Dialogue (GYPID) is one of the global largest
youth ideas transforming network and sharing
differences with the intent of developing a deeper
understanding of different practices and
perspectives.
We aim to provide young people in our modern
world with a better understanding of the world
order through the sharing of best practices
particularly in the areas of intercultural dialogue,
the democratic management of social diversity
and the promotion of social cohesion.
7. WHO WE ARE
The Parliament will include online platform
contains forum to exchange ideas freely, discuss
all the topics that are controversial, conferences,
workshops and holding online and open dialogues
between youth and various officials, leaders and
international organizations around the world,
Providing online training courses for youth and
various groups on culture dialogue and the fight
against extremism, digital security, and take close
look to different cultures and religions in a simple
way that contributes to the resistance of many
misconceptions.
9. “We cannot control the way
people interpret our ideas or
thoughts, but we can control
the words and tones we
choose to convey them.
Peace is built on
understanding, and wars are
built on misunderstandings.
Never underestimate the
power of a single word, and
never recklessly throw around
words. One wrong word, or
misinterpreted word, can
change the meaning of an
entire sentence and start a
war. And one right word, or
one kind word, can grant you
the heavens and open doors.”
10. WHY WE EXIST
Extremism and terrorism are considered one of the
most serious crises and challenges facing the whole
world In particular Africa and the middle east, where
the real dialogue between different cultures and
democracy is absent in some countries.
The wrong use of the internet and social media is
turning into battlegrounds between members of one
community and multiple societies, instead of using it
as tools for cooperation and constructive
communication.
Lack of confidence of young people in their ability to
change their communities for the better and not
trained effectively in decision-making at many levels,
these factors make youth easy to embrace violence
and extremism.
11. WHY WE EXIST
Therefore, when youth get enough support by their
ability of contributing in decision making and real
peaceful changes; it will absolutely make huge
differences on the ground.
We propose the establishing of The Global Youth
Parliament for Intercultural Dialogue (GYPID) under
the umbrella of the UN General Assembly, It will
format from different youth of the world, and involves
young people from different countries of the world to
include several categories, political, racial, religions
and beliefs without any kind of discrimination, It shall
have regional and international elections and
committees to play its supervisory, awareness and
monitoring role in all matters related to youth issues.
12. WHY WE SHOULD EXIST
The parliament shall act as a warning bell against
the marginalization of youth or the use of
language of discrimination against them.
We are working towards achieving the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - Goals
16 and 17, as a world free of violence and
extremist ideology. This will greatly contribute to
increasing opportunities for economic cooperation
and communication between nations more freely,
thus contributing to a better world where all can
live in security peace and prosperity.
13. OUR MISSIONS
The (GYPID) is a non-partisan. This global
network is an opportunity for a citizen investment
in social projects around the world. The main
missions of the Global Youth Parliament for
Intercultural Dialogue are:
Resisting extremist thought before its spread and
combating its access to the minds of many
young people through an interactive platform that
will provide free space for exchange of opinions
and correct many misconceptions that may drive
individuals to violence and extremism and will
provide a space for acquaintance and exchange
of experiences between young people from
different cultures and communities.
14. OUR MISSIONS
To think outside of the box in order to identify
similarities and differences between different cultural
traditions and perceptions;
To raise awareness of democracy among young
people, enabling them to discover in practice the
principles of democratic debate and decision-making;
Awaken to the different cultural, economic, social and
political factors present in a democratic decision-
making process;
To give young people the opportunity to better
understand the global mechanisms of cultural
differences in order to avoid the socio-cultural bases
of conflicts;
15. OUR MISSIONS
Encourage the meeting of young people to share
and exchange ideas and experiences as a tool for
conflict resolution, countering violent extremism
and peacemaking;
Provide youth with the opportunity to experience a
simulation of a parliamentary session to contribute
to peace building, conflict prevention and security;
To advance gender equality and respect for
women's rights;
To promote youth empowerment; promote
dialogue and cooperation; in order to fill the
democratic deficit in international relations.
16. OUR ACTIONS:
Stronger “coalitions for
intercultural dialogue” must
be built in order to
integrate culture and
respect for cultural
heritage into all
international peace-
building processes.
Gender equality
Global governance
Parliamentary dialogue
Human rights
Sustainable development
Youth empowerment
Peace building
17. OUR VALUES AND STRATEGIES
We provide training on understanding conflict, integrity and
early warning.
Our work is dedicated to three objectives, together with our expanded
networks and other organisations from across the youth sector:
curating the debate, building the parliament and shaping the future.
To live together in peace, harmony, stability and
prosperity;
It is time to act on the ground to realize the dream
of the present and future generations;
19. CONCLUSION
Young people are among the first victims of extremism,
conflict and radicalization. However, they should be part
of the solution, their participation in the prevention and
resolution of disputes is therefore essential to the
establishment of lasting peace in our modern world. Our
young parliamentarians have a key role to play in
addressing the drivers of conflicts in their regions and
contributing to solutions. Building on UN Security
Council Resolution 2250, adopted in 2015, which sets
out international commitments to youth, peace and
security, we will work with all young people around the
globe; to help them strengthen the peace and security
agenda. We will support their efforts to prevent violent
extremism and to contribute to reconciliation and peace
