Francisco Viliesid has been a leader in HEXPOL's Mexico operations for years. He is now enjoying retirement, and the HEXPOL Mexico team has developed an award to honor him in the years to come.

Dr. Francisco Viliesid made his intention toward
retirement known about 2 years ago, but
continued growth in Mexico kept pushing back
his retirement date. Francisco started with the
company when M.A Hanna decided to build a
plant in Mexico. He has been the only
Managing Director of the Querétaro plant, and
now some 18 years later is known as our
Pioneer of Mexico. Francisco has helped us
immensely in getting to know the government,
it's officials, the culture of the country both
local and global, and has been a trustworthy
partner and someone that we all admire.
Francisco has built a solid team and believes in
growing his people through confidence then
competency. He was honored with “The
Pioneer Award” at the Querétaro plant annual
end of year Christmas party in front of every
employee and their families.

We followed the "Pioneer Award" by introducing plans for an annual award
named after Francisco. "The Francisco Viliesid Award", will go to the one
individual in HEXPOL Mexico who shows that same quality of leadership, that
same ability to take on risk, to weather the storm, and to be the best developer of
his or her people.

On December 30th, HEXPOL Compounding Querétaro had a very special celebration for Francisco.
The associates from the Querétaro facility organized a small surprise celebration for him. Many people
thanked Francisco openly for teaching them, others for being a mentor to them, and many others for the
opportunity to work with him. It was a very nice and emotional ceremony.
We will all miss Francisco very much! We are happy to have had such a great team player and leader with
us. Everyone at the Querétaro campus enjoyed working with Francisco and learning from him. Francisco
always has a great sense of commitment, integrity and humbleness.
