• Mobile apps, once a novelty for early smartphone
adopters, have become the main way that U.S. consumers
spend their time on mobile devices.
• According to the latest stats from Flurry, mobile apps
currently command 86 percent of the average U.S.
consumer's time spent on their mobile device, or 2 hours
and 19 minutes per day out of a total of 2 hours and 42
minutes per day.
• The mobile web dropped to 14 percent of the average U.S.
consumer's time spent on their mobile device--a mere 22
minutes per day.
• In 2013, mobile apps took up 80 percent of the U.S.
consumer's device time and mobile web was able to
muster 20 percent.
• Apps are a workshop in themselves.

• You don’t have to go straight to an app.
• Unless an app is your business.
• And even then you don’t have to.
• i.e. maybe a mobile site first.
• Maybe a book marked HTML5 site.
• Then a phonegap / appscend made app.
• Then native at the end …. But this costs.
• The point is ALWAYS….
