Hypertext
▸ The term HYPERTEXT was coined by
Ted Nelson in 1963
▸ allows readers to access
information particularly suited to
their needs.

Why hypertexts?
▸ In a hypertext system, the reader is free to
navigate information by exploring the
connections provided.
▸ it is very different ways of presenting
information than the usual linear form.
▸ it acts as a bridge between two basic, opposite,
and complementing elements that may be
called gender of knowledge representation.

Intertextuality
When we read, we try to make meaning
of the material that we are absorbing
through many different processes.
Unintentionally, sometimes, we see
patterns in the materials that we are
reading that are apparent in another
text. Theorists term this as

As a literary device, it is the complex
interrelationship between a text and other
text taken as fundamental to the creation
and interpretation of the text. The reader
gets to understand the context of the
piece through other texts which parallel it
in terms of plot,characters, premise, and
the like.

4. Pastiche
▸ It is a text developed in a way
that copies a style or other
properties of another text
without making fun of it unlike
in a parody.

The method of directly lifting
the exact statement or set of
words from a text another
author has made.
