THE COVENANT
• Dictionary definition: An agreement, usually formal,
between two or more persons to do or not to do
something specified.
• In the Bible the covenant denotes the conditional
promises made to humanity by God, in particular
the covenant between God and the nation of Israel.

• Credited to him as righteousness.
• An expression of God’s Grace not Abram’s
worthiness.
• Abram believed (trusted in, relied on, remained
steadfast to) the Lord. (Amplified Bible)
• A right standing with God.
• Set-right-with-God. (The Message).
•It’s not about what we
must do but about what
Jesus has done!
•We, like Abram, are invited to enter
into a covenant with God.
•“This is the New Covenant in my
blood.”
•Trust in the promises of God and
the God of the promises.
•Believe, trust in, rely on.
