The narrator gives birth to her third child, a son named Eddison. While she loves all her children equally, she finds Eddison to be quite fussy and requiring a lot of attention. With her career goals and three young children, she relies heavily on help from her parents Parker and Caroline for childcare. However, they seem to dote on her daughter Emily the most, giving her more attention than the other grandchildren. The narrator is happy her family is now complete with four children, though managing her career and family responsibilities with a newborn has proven more difficult than she anticipated.
