On September 18th, 2008,
Cohen Mathias Brown entered
the world at 7:31am, after
putting up quite a fight.
He was an instant joy to his
parents with his charming
expressions and delightful
good looks.
This book documents his first
three months as a human being
out and about in the world.

5. One last walk was all the encouragement that I needed to begin my big entrance.
6. And after 12 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing, and a nice vacuum pump, appear I did.
7.
8. Once they got done with all of the poking, prodding and testing,
I thought it would be best if I just took a little nap.
9.
10. My Daddy thought I was pretty cool. He is not in very many pictures because he is always the one
taking them... he is pretty obsessed with capturing everything fun that I do.
11. My Mommy loves me, too. She just keeps telling me how cute that I am. I think it was love at first sight!
12. It seems like my parents have a lot of friends and family because so many people came to meet me.
13. This is me & my G-ma DeLong. (She says she's not ready to be a grandma, but I think she's great!)
14. And this is my Grandpa DeLong. I think his beard is pretty neat, but it tickles a little, too.
15.
16. This is me with my Grandma and Grandpa Brown. I'm their first grandson!
17.
18. And some of my uncles and aunts even came. Don't believe the look on Bethany's face--
I know she adores me, really.
19.

21. After spending a few days in the hospital, it was time to go and see my new home. Our cool new
neighbors made me a sign to make sure that everyone knew I was here.
22.
23. My 1st bath at home--brr, this is cold! My favorite part of baths is cuddling afterward.
24.
25. Look how cute I am! My Grandpa and Grandma Brown love talking to me.
26.
27.
28. There were so many people who were excited to meet me. I hope that I can remember all of their
names!
29.
30. My Uncle Cory and Aunt Vicky came to visit me when I was just over 1 week old. Aunt Vicky was
getting ready to have my new cousin Reuben.
31.
32. These are some of Daddy's favorite pictures--I was smiling at 2 weeks!
33. Mommy is so comfortable--I like listening to her heartbeat.
34. It was fun getting to know my parents in my first weeks--we slept, cuddled, took walks, and played a lot.
35.
36. There are so many things to look at and to learn!
37.
38. When I was 3 weeks old, my Grandpa and G-ma DeLong threw me a baby shower so that I could meet
some more friends and family. I got to meet Great Grandpa Glenn and Lois, Uncle Ben, Great Uncle
Ryan and Great Aunt Stacy, cousins Bryce and Paige, and our friend Janine.
39. This is a special picture--4 generations--Great Grandpa Glenn, G-ma, Mom, and me.
40.
41.
42. This is my birth announcement that my parents sent to all of their friends and family.
53. Here I am learning how to hold my head up--boy, it's heavy!
54. My parents think that I'm an over-achiever for laughing and smiling so early. I don't think this is too
surprising, though--my mom laughed all the time while I was inside her.
55. After 2 months, I finally got to meet my parents' friend Mathias. I got my middle name from him!
71. Almost 3 months old--I'm getting used to this bath idea, and I'm starting to get the hang of grabbing
onto things.
72.
73. Thanks for taking the time to learn about my first three months. I hope I see you again soon!
74.

am fearfully and wonderfully made.quot; --Psalm 139:13-14a
