2. Mark Sway was 11
years old and his brother
called Ricky was 8 years
old. They lived in a
trailer with his mom. She
left their father, because
he was always drunk
and violent. Mark was
like Ricky s father. After
school, Mark was
teaching Ricky how to
smoke when suddenly a
car with a man drinking
whisky appeared.
3. This man was Jerome
Clifford. He was the
lawyer of a leader of the
mafia, called Barry the
Blade. He knew an
important secret. Barry
had killed a senator and
had hidden the body in
Clifford s house. Jerome
was frightened. He told
the boys the secret and
commited suicide. Mark
called the police.
4. Ricky got shocked, so all
the family went to St.
Peter s Hospital. A cop
asked Mark about the
lawyer s body. Mark said
that he saw him when he
was already dead. He
didn t talk about the
secret because he was
scared.
5. Roy Foltrigg was a lawyer
that worked for the
government. He was
investigating about the
senator s murder. He
knew that it was related
to the mafia and wanted
to find the body. He
talked with 2 FBI officers.
They wanted to talk with
Mark because they knew
that he was lying.
6. Ricky was still in
shock. Dr Greenway
said it was a difficult
case but he would be
all right. Mark refused
to talk with the FBI.
7. Mark wanted to see a
lawyer before the
meeting with the
FBI, so he went to the
office of a lawyer
called Gill Teal. It was
full of people.
Suddenly, a cop
appeared, so he
entered another office
and met a lawyer
called Reggie Love.
8. Mark told all the truth to Reggie but he
didn t say where the body was hidden.
Although Mark didn t have too much
money, Reggie accepted the case. Ricky
woke up, but he didn t want to talk.
9. Mark met the FBI and
the officers started to
ask questions to him.
He refused to talk.
They couldn t ask him
questions when he
was alone.
Suddenly, Reggie, tha
t had recorded the
conversation, appear
ed and defended him.
10. Johnny, Barry s
uncle, who was head
of the Mafia got angry
because Barry told
Clifford the location of
the body. Mark talked
with Slick Moeller, a
reporter that was
writing about the
suicide. Mark told his
mom the truth about
what Ricky and him
had seen.
11. Mark was worried after
seeing his face on the
local newspaper. A man
called Gronke, that was
part of the
mafia, threatened him
inside the hospital's lift.
After this, he met Reggie
in a cafe and told her
about this. She wanted
Mark to talk to the FBI .
Roy Foltrigg was angry
and wanted the kid to be
followed.
12. The media was
waiting for Mark at the
hospital when he
arrived with Reggie.
Doctor Greenway
tried to talk to Rick
but he wasn't able.
Mark went to sleep to
Reggie's house .
Gronk was outside
Reggie's house,
watching everything.
13. Mark's picture was on the front page of the
newspaper again. When Mark and Reggie
arrived at the hospital, Dianne was crying
because their trailer had been burned
apparently by The Mafia.
Foltrigg kept on insisting Mark to talk, he
made the judge Harry Roosevelt sign an
order for Mark to stay in prison until the trial
when he was supposed to talk.
The police took Mark to prison by force.
14. Harry let Reggie talked to
Mark; The kid asked
Reggie what to say at the
trial.
Slick Moeller blackmailed
the courtroom guard and
got some information
about what was
happening in the
courtroom .
15. Slick's story about Mark's courtroom
appeared in the newspaper . Gronke was
sure that Mark was not going to talk. Mark
stayed in prison, feeling terrified and
frightened because of the Mafia.
16. The judge agreed that
Mark was in danger,
so returned him to
custody. Mark
pretended to be in
shock. They carried
him to the hospital,
where he escaped.
He went with Reggie
to New Orleans.
17. Mark and Reggie arrived at Clifford s
house. They saw Muldano and two men
removing the senator s body. Reggie
threw her shoe to the opposite house.
Bells rang everywhere. Muldano and the
men left the body and escaped. Mark and
Reggie confirmed that it was the senator s
body.
18. Mark, Ricky and their mom moved to
Phoenix because of the witness protection
programme. After this, Reggie told the FBI
the location of the body.
