The Big Idea: Family
The passage describes how Jesus, though fully God, humbled himself by taking human form and dying on the cross. It says he did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made himself nothing. God then exalted Jesus and gave him the name above all names so that all will confess Jesus as Lord.

- 16. 1. God wantsyour attitude to be the same as Jesus! 2. The only disciple to do anything by himself in the Gospels was Judas. We need each other!

You are willing to say “my big idea for life’ is family, relationship, community. I let go of every other big idea and I’m going to build around this idea. I’m going to make ‘building family’ the way I build my life. I’m going to give it time and energy and purpose.I am willing to let go of my big ideas on how to live life and take on family as the way to govern my life. I am willing to adopt Christ’s attitude and be of no reputation. Relinquish my standing. I am willing to make substantial sacrifices to live this idea out at home and in the work place. I am willing to declare Jesus’ Lordship to those who need a spiritual family as this is the primary way to build God’s Kingdom on earth. WHAT DOES KINGDOM FAMILY LOOK LIKE??
