These thoughts on paper come from two Web log entries I wrote a couple of years ago. Here, I discuss the virtues of social democracy in relation to neoliberalism as how as how Hillary Clinton and the "New" Democrats lost the way they did to Donald Trump and the Republicans in 2016. We may see a 2016 redux, or replay, come the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
A general, national, detailed model of the U.S. electorate, including illustrations, intuitive explanations, and equations. History and model together predict electoral crisis and Clinton opportunities. Media stories recommended to manage issues specified by predictions. Note this was finished in April, and predicted GOP legislators' capitulation to Trump.

Steve Biko has gone down as a hero in South Africa. He has also been widely denigrated for the glaring similarities between his views and the 1960s classic Black Power by Stokely Carmichael. This work examines this seeming plagiarism in its socioeconomic context.
This is a brief message I wrote in February 2020 to a “New” Democrat, that is, a pro-Clinton and pro-Obama Democrat, who I know personally. In light of Joe Biden’s Super Tuesday victory, due in no small part to Barack Obama’s intervention, I thought I should post it to my SlideShare account to spark a discussion as to what the Democratic Party truly stands for.
Although it's our birthday, you're the one getting the gift of the best Indiana political gossip, rumor, and blatant innuendo a guy can give. Happy reading.
Ranking presidents is often a popularity or name recognition contest. Let us instead rank presidents by how many lived or died because of them. This makes the worst presidents Nixon, Reagan, and Jackson, and the best presidents Lincoln, Van Buren, Carter, and Grant. Some both saved many lives and caused many deaths, like Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, and Obama.
This is a war that we must and shall win with better ideas and proven performance. The odds appear to be stacked against us, but that is just an illusion by the popular media, which now functions openly as the Progressive propaganda machine. Major television networks that used to pride themselves in getting the story behind the news and educating the American viewer about what their government was really doing now serve as perpetual spin doctors for the administration.

Myth Making of Political Parties / Divide and control / the Constitution sh...Robert Powell
Exposes political parties for their deception and manipulation of society. Prejudice of emotional rhetoric, and the strategy of divide and defeat. Hegelian strategy in destroying America. Occupy as Hegelian tool. Chaos as strategy against middle America. Millennial citizens must move to protect Constitutional values. Why the Constitution? The two parties? Better to call them the Committers & omitters. What ideological persuasion?
Well, the Democrat Party initiated the KKK, killed thousands and blamed the Republicans. The Republicans were anti-slavery and pro- civil Rights. The control mechanism, is "Psychopolitics" a tool to disguise an objective from the masses. The atheistic, Global Governance thoughts erupted in 1873 with Cecil Rhodes and a few other megalomaniacs. The elite, truly have no souls, their "God" is wealth. You and I

The title of my book, The Purpose of Life, is also the heading of the essay collection that constitutes it. I wrote the compositions in response to my instinct for creating words and arranging them on the canvas of my mind as an imaginary trail of my existence in the sensual world. The following excerpt of my essay, The man without credentials does not have anything to prove. The meaning of life according to the “men of God”—priests, politicians, generals, and bankers—does not afflict him.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. The Biden "Tolerant" Chokehold
And the Illusionists of the “Left”
By Humberto Gómez Sequeira-HuGóS
December 29, 2020 | 9:59 A.M.
Workers and working-students of the payday loan (to pay the rent) American democracy:
The illusionists of the “left,” represented by Angela Davis and Noam Chomsky, told you
to vote for Biden because he was “tolerant” and, thus, he would allow you to “push” him
into accepting your demands. You followed the illusionists advise and sacrificed for Biden as
the “power to the people” brigade of his political farce.
Now that he is your President-Elect, he is pushing you against the capitalist class
containment wall to prevent you from crossing the border of social inequality. Can you feel
the Biden "tolerant" chokehold around your neck? He checkmated you, stole your vote and
is using it as the capitalist class’ mandate to designate their technocrats as the managers of
your State.
Biden applied his chokehold to your class before, in 1993, by voting for the North
American Free Trade Act (NAFTA). Did you forget?
You voted, like politically illusioned children, for "The Credit Card Man" that you saw as
"The Candy Man" under the magical spells spoken by Angela Davis and Noam Chomsky,
the professors’ par excellance of the "left." “Biden will be more tolerant” and “Biden can be
pushed to the left” are two of the professors’ infantile assessments of the member of the
Imperial Senate who shouted “Lock the S.O.B.s Up!” to emphasize his ardent support for
the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.
Biden is a member of the old guard and an experienced henchman of the capitalist class.
A Republican-Democrat programmed to fight, without “tolerance,” for the conversion of
the investment of his capitalist patrons in his election into for-profit legislation. His mind is
like a closed circuit in which the battery is capitalism and the path of the capitalist energy is
the Republican-Democratic Party. His function is to maintain the State as the executive
director of the flow of wealth towards his class, the social parasites who call themselves
“rich.” That circuit cannot be “pushed to the left.
2. 2 The Biden “Tolerant” Chokehold
Why did you believe the absurdities that the illusionists of the "left," the “intelligent”
actors of the Republican-Democratic Party social spectacle, told you? Voting for Biden was
going to be "like voting for yourself." And if he won you would receive a "breathing space"
in exchange for your vote. That is, a colored candy bubble wherein you could enjoy your
individual “American dream” complacently.
The pied pipers lied to you because that is their interest as the vanguard of the petty
bourgeois intelligentsia, formed in the think tanks of the bourgeoisie, whose frontal lobe is
not rooted in the matrix of the working class. They are the defenders of the ancient
programme of the Mensheviks, their political ancestors that fought against the Bolsheviks in
defense of the “lesser evil” bourgeoisie that, as they said 117 years ago, was susceptible of
being “pushed” towards the democracy that was the condition for socialism.
You believed them like the children who believe in Santa Claus because the adults buy
them the toys with which they show them that Santa is a real person. The toy that the adults
of the “left” bought you was a face without any productive social use.
Overcome your political Peter Pan syndrome! Grow up to know the truth that the
illusionists of the "left" do not want to tell you because they are an illusion of the “American
dream democracy” committed to keeping the Republican-Democratic Party as the machine
that produces the illusion.
The graduates of the school of reformism (Stalinism, social democratism and
progressivism) do not want to alter your infant perception of the presidential election as a
make a wish event sponsored by the miraculous virgin called “American democracy.”
Know that a presidential election is a class struggle, not a replica of the mythical fight of
"good versus evil." Nor is it the political version of the "American Idol" contest. Said
struggle is generated by the violent existence of the capitalist class and the constant
movement of its predatory instinct that impels it to capture you, exploit you, extract your
energy and convert it into megaprofits.
In that struggle, you need to be armed with your consciousness of yourself as an
exploited class and a program of demands adequate to your need to emancipate yourselves
from the dictatorship of the landlords and the bankers that own the for-profit democracy.
You do not need the version of the Obama “Hope” poster with Biden’s face on it that the
illusionists of the “left” sold you.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was chosen by the capitalist class as their álter ego for he, like
his predecessors, reflects their properties: stupidity, ambition, prepotency, military
aggressiveness, hypocrisy and vanity. He is not an entity with human moral content, but a
3. Humberto Gómez Sequeira-HuGóS 3
political meme incapable of subjugating his political ego to reason or compassion for human
suffering.
In the reality generated by the class struggle, you voted for the millionaires who invested
in propagandizing Biden’s plastic face as another of their political trademarks. They own the
copyright to the machine and the program that produces the illusion of the presidential
election, the “opposing” candidates and you as the consumers of the ballot.
Did you forget Brand Obama and the “black radical” version of the “left’s” mantra that
inspired you to elect him as your President for 2 terms?
«Davis suddenly launched into how wonderful it felt to see people “dancing in the
streets” when Barack Obama was elected. She called that campaign a “victory, not of an
individual, but of…people who refused to believe that it was impossible to elect a person, a
Black person, who identified with the Black radical tradition.”»1
The “Let’s Push Biden to the Left!” slogan of the illusionists of the “left” is not the
policy that you need to fight against the landlords and bankers for your liberation from the
chokehold that they applied to you during the Obama Administration.
Said slogan is a reflection of the ongoing process of decomposition and transformation
of the “left” into the “democratic right” that was started by the Communist (Stalinist) Party
USA when it decided to repudiate the class struggle as the working class’ method for fighting
against the capitalist class for their demands. The “communists” replaced said method with
the collaboration with the capitalist class and support for their “New Deal”, which was
designed by the Democratic Party bankers to avert the social revolution.
Today, the “Robber Barons” of the “Democracy Incorporated” continue to fight against
you with Biden and the Republican-Democratic Party as their Samurai. In that fight, the
illusionists of the “left” function as the strategists of your defeat.
