Jesus teaches the Beatitudes to his disciples on a mountainside. The Beatitudes describe eight attitudes or dispositions that Jesus says are blessed, including being poor in spirit, mourning, being meek, hungering and thirsting for righteousness, being merciful, pure in heart, and peacemaking. Jesus says those who exhibit these attitudes will find true happiness and fulfillment. The document provides context from scripture about the meaning of "blessed" and other background.

The World, the Flesh and the Devil are the 3 enemies of the Christian. Satan is our spiritual enemy, the World is our External enemy and the Flesh is our Internal enemy.
We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.
What is unique about the "great tribulation" to the typical trials of life or the holocaust and other cataclysms and tribulations? When will it occur? Why? Is there hope? How should those who identify with Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and have His Spirit dwelling within them respond?

In this lesson you will learn about the 8 character traits necessary for those who are in Christ’s kingdom. For each of these, we will look to Jesus as our example to follow. We will also examine the rewards that are promised for each of these.

In our world today, there is one powerful kingdom. It is the kingdom of the rich, the kingdom of the learned, the kingdom of the leaders, the kingdom of the popular ones and the kingdom of the powerful. This is the kingdom of Satan. It is a kingdom of prosperity, of riches, of power and of fame, legal vs. illegal.
There is another drastic kingdom which is completely the opposite the kingdom of Satan. It is this kingdom found in John 12: 24-26.
If no one can see God and live (Ex. 33:19-23) then why did Jesus promise the pure in heart that they would "see God"? (Mt. 5:8) How did Job and David see God? (Job 42:5; Psa. 19) How have you seen God? What difference has seeing Him made in your life? What are our hearts naturally? (Jer. 17:9) What are the characteristics of a divided or insincere heart? (Psa. 86:11; Ez. 11:19) Describe the condition of your heart. Why does God want our hearts, even more than our minds, emotions or behavior? (Prov. 4:23; 27:19; Jer. 29:13)
If you are like the casual worshipper who selfishly expects something out of worshipping the Lord or like the self-righteous who spends more time examining others rather than focusing on the Lord themselves...this lesson is for you.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
