“WE	SHOULD	HAVE	KNOWN!”
At	that	time	the	disciples	came	to	Jesus,
saying,	“Who	then	is	greatest	in	the
kingdom	of	heaven?”
Then	Jesus	called	a	little	child	to	Him,	set
him	in	the	midst	of	them,	and	said,
“Assuredly,	I	say	to	you,	unless	you	are
converted	and	become	as	little	children,
you	will	by	no	means	enter	the	kingdom	of
heaven.
Therefore	whoever	humbles	himself	as	this
little	child	is	the	greatest	in	the	kingdom	of
heaven.	Whoever	receives	one	little	child
like	this	in	My	name	receives	Me.
Matthew	18:1-5	(ESV)
OUR	NEW	LIFE	IS	UPSIDE	DOWN!
• Matthew	now	gives	us	the	“fourth	book”	of
the	collected	teachings	of	Jesus.
• Chapter	18	describes	the	community	of
people	who’ve	entered	into	new	relationship
with	Christ.
• It’s	important	for	us	to	“get”	in	a	culture	that
tends	to	make	everything	– even	faith	– all
about	ME.
“Community	means	that	we	always	relate
to	one	another	in	and	through	Christ.”
-Dietrich	Bonhoeffer
LIVING	UPSIDE	DOWN
1. JESUS	IS	ALWAYS	WITH	US,	NOT	JUST	ME
2. WILL	WE	REFUSE	TO	FORGIVE	IN	HIS
PRESENCE?
3. JESUS	STANDS	US	ON	OUR	HEADS!
