1. The American Revolution Essay
Crafting an essay on the American Revolution is no small feat; it requires delving into a complex
historical landscape, navigating intricate events, and presenting a nuanced understanding of the
period. The multifaceted nature of this topic demands a thorough exploration of political, social,
and economic factors that contributed to the revolutionary spirit.
One must grapple with the intricacies of the revolutionary war, examining key battles, notable
figures, and the underlying ideological shifts that shaped the course of history. Additionally,
understanding the pre-revolutionary period, the grievances of the colonists, and the philosophical
underpinnings of the movement adds layers of depth to the analysis.
Research is paramount. Sifting through primary and secondary sources, historians' perspectives,
and scholarly articles becomes an integral part of the essay-writing process. Synthesizing this
information into a coherent narrative, while maintaining a critical stance, is both challenging and
essential.
Moreover, balancing the perspectives of various historical actors and interpreting their
motivations requires a nuanced approach. It's not merely recounting events but interpreting the
significance and impact of those events on the trajectory of the revolution.
Crafting a compelling thesis that encapsulates the essence of the American Revolution while
providing a unique angle can be a formidable task. The essay must not only present a
chronological account but also offer insightful analyses, drawing connections between seemingly
disparate events.
In addition to historical depth, the essay must be well-structured, engaging, and coherent.
Transitioning smoothly between paragraphs and ideas is crucial to ensure the reader can follow
the argument seamlessly. The use of appropriate evidence and examples to support claims adds
another layer of complexity.
In essence, writing an essay on the American Revolution demands a meticulous blend of
historical insight, analytical prowess, and effective communication skills. It is a task that requires
not only knowledge of the subject matter but also the ability to weave a compelling narrative that
captivates and informs the reader. While challenging, the process offers a rewarding opportunity
to gain a deeper understanding of a pivotal moment in history.
For those seeking assistance with such demanding essays, various resources are available,

St. Jude is a leading children s hospital pioneering research and treatments for kids
with cancer and other life threatening diseases. Research efforts are directed at
understanding the molecular, genetic and chemical bases of catastrophic diseases in
children; identifying cures for such diseases; and promoting their prevention.
Research is focused specifically on cancers, some acquired and inherited
immunodeficiencies, sickle cell disease, infectious diseases and genetic disorders.
More than a half century ago, entertainer Danny Thomas envisioned a hospital that
would treat children regardless of race, color, creed or their family s ability to pay.

Enron had the largest bankruptcy in America s history and it happened in less than
a year because of scandals and manipulation Enron displayed with California s

valued at 70 billion dollars. At that time, Enron s business model was full of energy
and power. Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling had raised Enronto stand on a culture of greed,
lies, and fraud, coupled with an unregulated accounting system, which caused Enron

/company/startup is creating, capturing and delivering value to its customers.
Management can seek to optimize the business by
1.(2) validating parts of the business model hypotheses in a pivot experiment in order
to find a plan that works.
2.(2) Optimize efficiency by refining parts of the business model

3.What does consistency mean in the design of a business model using, for example,
the Business Model Canvas? Give an example of an INconsistent business model.
(2+2=4)

relate to one another in harmony. For example, if the customer segment is women
aged 20 30 in the Bay Area of San Francisco, the channels to reach the customer
segment(s) has to correspond to the customer segments. In practice, this means that
one of the nine building blocks cannot be transformed without changing, or at least
revising, the remaining eight.

whose value proposition is to offer flights at a lower price (cost driven)

8. Anatomical Theory Of Disease Essay
In this paper I am going to discuss the differences between the Humoral concept of
disease, the anatomical theory of disease, the germ theory of disease and the
differences between each theory. I am also going to look at the historical significance
of these theories and how they apply to health and wellness in today s health care.
The humoral theory comes from an ancient Greek theory that states that the human
body is composed of four basic humors. The Humoral theory is derived from the
word humor, but in this context, means fluid . The Humoral theory is related to the
theory of the earth and the four elements. These elements are better known as earth,
fire, water and air. The balance in these earthly elements allows the earth... Show

The fundamental concept of this theory states that microorganisms can invade the
body and cause certain diseases or even death. Before this theory was accepted
many people believed that a disease was a punishment for a person s evil behavior
not a medical problem. These three theories differ because they all covered
different barriers when it came to treating and understanding diseases. The
Humoral theory began with the four elements and the anatomical theory allowed
us to take a deeper look into the functioning of the bodies systems. This helped us
to learn what was happening in the body, in the body systems and in the organs.
Without these two studies we would not have come to the Germ Theory. Even
though each theory is different in concept each theory was important and we
would not have been able to progress along to the next theory. If we would not have
had the germ theory we would not have discovered the need for vaccines or
discovered antiseptics. These theories also allowed physicians to learn to look at
diseases on a micro (small scale) instead of just a macro scale or big picture. I feel
that these theories have led to significant changes in health care over the years.
These theories have allowed scientist to discover not only how to cure some disease
but also how to prevent diseases from spreading. Scientists were able to develop
vaccines, antiseptics, create personal protective equipment and enabled the public

A.1. Steak Sauce was founded in England in 1830 by King George s Chef,
Henderson William Brand and introduced to North America in the early 1900s.
The Sauce became a premier brand of Kraft Foods Inc. who acquired it from Nabisco
in 2002. (Kerin amp; Peterson, 2011, 630). A.1. Steak Sauce had done well in

(Kerin amp; Peterson, 2011, 631) A.1 sought to introduce and launch a new poultry
marinade item, and was planning to continue an aggressive marketing campaign
against its competitors. However, marketing the new poultry product was a failure
and A.1 had to reassess its strategies regarding the launching of new trial marinade
brands. The major challenge that A.1 based however was protecting its market
share, and brand integrity by counteracting though bold launch of a new steak
sauce product by Lawry which was cheaper, and very similar to the A.1 product.
Lawry Steak Sauce was one dollar less than A.1. Steak Sauce ($3.99 vs. $4.99),
and the Lawry product were 11 ounces whereas A.1 was 10 ounces. Lawry s
product was also similar in taste, texture and packaging as the A.1 product which
also presented a serious problem for A.1. Added to this was the fact that Lawry
introduced its new product live on an interactive cooking show which gave the
product an extra media boost. (Kerin amp; Peterson, 2011, 634) In addition to
launching a product that was able to company with A1 Steak Sauce, Lawry formed
an alliance with the supermarket Publix to launch a Memorial Day advertising
campaign offering two bottles of Lawry Steak Sauce for five dollars as a promotional
price. (Kerin amp; Peterson, 2011, 630). By using this

12. The Theme of Leadership Portrayed in The Odyssey and
the...
Built in qualities such as intelligence, good looks, height and so on are not
necessary to become a good leader. Anyone can cultivate the proper leadership
qualities. In order to excel in their leadership a good leader must possess qualities
such as self awareness, courage, confidence, innovation, fairness, openness, and
dedication among others. Odysseus in The Odyssey, and Samuel, Saul and Davidin
the Books of Samuel, display these characters. However, at some occasions they fail
to do so. That is to say, leaders, being it great or small, chosen by God or people, are
not completely perfect.
Self awareness is one of the leadership qualities portrayed in The Odyssey and the
Books of Samuel. Odysseus possesses this quality. Several times ... Show more

He shows he is weak and not ready to lead. (1 Samuel 9:21). Saul even hides when
he is supposed to show himself to the Israelites as the chosen King (1 Samuel 11:
22). Although Saul knows that he cannot lead, he has no choice, he has to follow
the Lord s order. At last, God realizes that Saul was indeed not a leader type person
and chooses another person. God must have known that people are not forced to be
leaders, but they themselves should be aware of the ability to be leaders.
Confidence is another trait a leader should possess. Both Odysseus in The Odyssey
and David in the Books of Samuel demonstrate this quality. They have belief in
their abilities to meet most challenges that come their way. Odysseus never
believes a person initially, being it mortal or immortal. He always likes to be done
in his way. Odysseus believes in himself rather than anybody else. He wants to
figure what to do for himself and not someone else do it for him. For instance, he
argues with Calypso and Ino because Odysseus did not believe them initially, but
wanted things to be done his way (Book 5, line 180 line 370). Moreover, David,
another God chosen King of Israelites, shows confidence when he tells Saul that
though he (David) is young, he can fight the giant Philistine warrior, Goliath
(1Samuel 17:32 37). However, David confidence is from the fact that God is on his
side and will not let him down.
Courage is also needed in a leadership. This quality is portrayed in The

The finances aspect is that public officials may have their own personnel issues
when it comes to dealing with financial matters, even though they are handle the
public funds. One disadvantage of this aspect is that if a politician becomes involved
in a situation, they may prefer not to name names. But, on the plus side an advantage
to this aspect is that the public can decide if the official has the ability to overcome
said pressures of any form of charge finances. Hence then the public is able to
determine if the public official is capable to handle finances properly. Next, is
administrative responsibility? Simply put this is a shared responsibility between
public officials. Our officials need to determine a way in order lead without division
of said responsibilities. This should be performed collectively and not just
individually. Furthermore, recent ethical obligations as expressed by Aristotle, to do
this to the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive,
and the right way, that is not for everyone nor is it easy; wherefore goodness is both
rare and laudable and noble. In today s society this statement can still be true, as
much it was in Aristotle time. America s leaders are always into the semi governance
of other countries such as Libya, Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Even though our
leader s sole responsibility is not to govern other countries, but America.

As well as J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie was certainly another individual who
assumed great leadership and transformed the ways of the U.S. economy during the
Gilded Age. He concentrated his works on the Steel industry. He helped the United
States switch from an agricultural and commercial nation to the greatest industrial
nation in the world. A document published by Gale: Cengage Learning even stated,
In years of recession and depression he kept running his plants, undercutting
competitors, and assuring employment for his workers. Obviously, he was a strong
competitor among the entrepreneurs of the time. He kept his prices low while also

In addition, Carnegie s company built the first steel plants in the United States that
used the Bessemer steel making process, a revolutionary industrial development
that also produced steel from iron cheaply and efficiently. (Hendrick 5). However,
like J.P. Morgan, Carnegie, too, eliminated competition by buying other companies.
He also used a method, known as vertical combination. This meant that he bought
firms that were interdependent for the supply of raw materials for processing, like
railroad companies and iron mines. By owning these businesses, Carnegie was
able to reduce his costs and produce steel cheaper. As Carnegie s methods made the
manufacturing of steel faster, easier and inexpensive, he was considered a steel
magnate. He created a steel empire by taking ownership or factories, raw materials
and transportation infrastructure involved in steel making in order to eliminate any
inefficiencies that would keep him from profiting as much as he could. However,
while he put so much effort into keeping his costs down, he did not keep his workers
best interest at heart. By supplying his products at a lower cost than his competitors,
he overworked and
18. Factors That Regulate The Chemical Reactions That Affect...
Abstract Enzymes are catalysts that regulate the chemical reactions that occur in a
cell. By lowering the activation energy, they can increase the rate of reactions.
Enzyme amylases such as Bacillus Licheniformis and Aspergillus Oryzae split
starch polymers into smaller subunits called monomers. The lab displayed how
divergent temperatures affect the activity of the enzyme amylase and reveal the
optimal temperature for the fungal and bacteria amylase. To set up the experiment,
eight test tubes are necessary. Four of the test tubes will be labeled for the bacteria
and the remaining four will be labeled fungi. Each test tube will be labeled for a
specific temperature (0вЃ°, 25вЃ°, 55вЃ°, 85вЃ° Celsius) and another 4 for the starch
solution. Two spot plates are required which will be used to record and analyze
each reaction every two minutes by adding iodine to the well of the spot plate. After
gathering the information you will need to determine what color represents the
greatest reaction can be determined by the color (Black Yellow). It is important to
collect and compare every group s data in order to obtain accurate results. After going
over all the results, one can conclude that the best temperature for the reaction to
occur in this solution is at 55вЃ° Celsius which would be the enzyme s optimal level.
Knowing what temperature works best for enzymes allows for a faster and more
efficient use of these reactions. Without enzymes, the reactions would be too slow to
keep the cells

can save lives if you take the right steps at the right time. Here is a brief guide of
what to do in case of a truck accident. Medical Help The first step should always be
to seek medical help. The value of life is above all losses and therefore, you should
always contact medical emergency services in case you are involved in truck
accidents in California. Investigate the Incident Once you have received medical
attention, then next step is to investigate the accident. Truck accidents in California
are easy to investigate, because they occur due to repeating circumstances. You need
to ensure that you help in identifying the evidence that clearly indicates, which truck
driver is at fault. Collecting Evidence You need to collect strong evidence that can
be accepted in a court of law. You should take the pictures of your vehicle, as well as
that of the truck which caused the accident. You should also record your injuries and
obtain their description from a medical professional. Obtain Legal

They left all the weak ones here
In section 4 of the novel of mice and men , George and the ranchers have left the
weak ones at the ranch and gone into town. Although Curley s wife is the one who
refers to them as the weak ones , she herself is included in this group. The theme
which is emphasised in this section is the overriding theme that humanity is small
and fragile in comparison with the forces that control our lives. Steinbeck shows
great compassion to this group of people, he describes is great detail before this
section of the hopes and dreams of each and every one of the weak ones and how
they will never be achieved. In this group are four people, each with their own

Like candy, Crooks is an example of Steinbeck s compassion. Crooks is not only a

from many views, Crooks could be seen as the most victimised character, only

21. Descriptive Essay About My Father
Sometimes I think I know everything there is to know about my father. I know he
only shaves when the greys start to show. I know he likes green tea better than
black. He watches Hallmark movies at Christmas because it reminds him of Gran.
He likes to wear plaid ironically. He watched me being born when he was
seventeen years old. He tells me he loves me, not every day but every week at
least. He doesn t have to say it too often. He just loves. Even when Angelo left, he
kept loving him. He kept the little shells they had found on the beach when we drove
to the Great Salt Lake. They re lined up in a row on the bathroom windowsill. He
also kept Angelo s shirts, the ones he left behind. He wears them sometimes; the
ones with holes from where sparks burned the fabric for Angelo s welding projects.
We ve got one of those, too. A welding piece. It s a bird that has its wings up in a V.
It s in the front yard of the cabin, rusty and brown. It gets older every month. Dad
says it s sad that he s gone. That s why it s dying. As if it s a real, living creature.
As if it breathes, like it holds some piece of Angelo, like it s a beacon that will
bring him back. Dad sees beauty in the metal and the edges. I see sharp points, a
twisted back, an open mouth caught saying something like why do youalways do this
to us or don t make this my fault or don t be so fucking sensitive. If there s
something I don t know about my dad, it s how he lived with it for so long. The
cabin we live in is more of an insulated shed. It has two lofts, a bathroom, and one
big space for the couch and kitchen and the fold down table. It was the hunting cabin
that Grampa used when he was alive. It s deep in the woods, connected to the road
by a mile long driveway.
We re twenty miles from Little Pesos, which has the Walmart, library/church,
ranger station and the charter high school. I walk three miles to get to the bus stop
that takes me the rest of the way. We have classes from April to October. In winter,
the weather is too unpredictable. Dad likes the cabin. He likes the quiet and the
trees that are crowded like cold children, arms wrapped around each other for
warmth. He likes to hunt, too. Grampa had showed him to shoot when he was a
22. Drones Should Not Be Allowed To Spy On US Citizens
The advancing technologies of today have created a vast number of opportunities to
change the way of life for the human race. There has been quite a bit of speculation
over the government using drones to spy on US civilians. One issue with this policy
is that it violates the ninth amendment which is the right to privacy. With drones
spying on citizens what privacy is there? The problems and complications with the
government using drones for that soul purpose consist of privacy being violated, air
traffic being interrupted and drones will also have to be paid for from taxes,so in
hindsight the people are paying to be spied on. The government should not have the
right to spy on citizens using drone technology because of broken rights.

The drones are also safety hazards if they do happen to malfunction and not work
properly. If they are flying around as casually as a car driving on the street they
could fall out of the sky. Also the need for patrol cars would be eliminated but a
weaponless drone could not arrest someone properly or at all. The drones mean well
but are just doing a disservice if these problems are not all addressed and dealt with.
Many states have proposed drone regulations and many states have adopted them.
In conclusion surveillance drones have much work and a long way to go before
they are approved by every citizen. The main issue on the majority of people s
minds is that of privacy. If there was a way to use the drones for surveillance but
also not disturb anyone s privacy there would be not much of an issue to worry
about. As of now surveillance drones are a negative impact on society and should
not be used or at least be used less frequently. These drones are a way of the future,
but not everyone has adapted yet; until that happens say no to

What is it about an advertisement that makes people want to purchase that item?
Could it be the idea of showing it off, personal attraction, or utilizing it in everyday
life? The advertisement I chose to analyze does absolutely stunning in doing all
three and more. The Mercedes ad of the red SL class car gives off a romantic look
due to the color of the car and the caption on the left; and a rough and powerful
look at the same time from the rigid mountainous background. The images looks
extremely realistic, like every detail of it was picked up by a high tech camera.
The main focus of the image is the front of the car closest to the foreground, with it
going out towards the other parts making it one elegant picture. Ethos, Pathos, and
logos play a major role in this ad to appeal to the audiences senses and attract the
viewers the ad is aimed towards. This ad does marvelous in using rhetorical
techniques to appeal to the viewer and persuade them to purchase this car. My ad
has a mountainous background with a tint of blue in it, giving the impression of it
taking place in the morning and the feeling of the cool breeze right before the sun
rises. The sun can be seen beginning to rise on the right side slightly above the car;
with the full capacity of the suns light being obscured by the mountain in front of it.
A body of water can be seen cutting through the mountains almost behind the front of
the car, adding to the images beauty. There is a Mercedes symbol on the top right
24. My Reading Day
The wind started to blow. The tree house started to spin. It spun faster and faster.
Then everything was still. Absolutely still. This was the beginning of all my
childhood adventures. It was a chilly dull Friday. The sky and the smell of the air
reviled that it was going to rain. Mrs. Anderson: my fifth grade teacher, had an AR
reading day planned for the class. AR is a system mostly used for elementary
schools to encourage kids to read. After you re done reading you have to take a
test on a computer. Depending on your grade depends on the amount of points you
will receive, the points vary from book to book. Mrs. Anderson gave the class
permission to bring a blanket to wrap up in while reading along with snacks. Most
of the class had to stay inside the class room or right up against the wall outside.
Having a passion for reading and being well behaved allowed me to venture out of
those boundaries.
Unknowingly, this is where everything would start to change. As soon as Mrs.
Anderson dismissed me, I walked strait to the library. To be completely honest I didn t
walk to the library, I ran. Accidently swinging the front door open to eagerly and
having to catch it from hitting the wall. I sped walked through the over baring scent
of citrus table cleaner. Right after I escaped the table cleaner before it could
completely smother me, I could begin to smell the alluring scent of books. I proceed

If you would like to live a happy and more so, successful life, it is vital that you
learn to express gratitude wherever you go. In order to reach where you would like
to be in life, everyone should concentrate on their goals and objectives. Through
expressing gratitude, people can learn to show good deeds, and hence be able to
receive the same goodness, in return. (Radwan, Msc.) Gratitude refers to the act of
being thankful, noticing simple pleasures, counting every little blessing, and
acknowledging every good done unto you. In other terms, it can be described as
living life as if everything happening in it is a miracle, and being able to
continuously acknowledge every much you receive. On the other hand, when
people decide to concentrate a lot of energy on bad things in life, it will make them
remain in the state of conflict. But by developing gratitude, it will allow someone to
focus on positivity and the good things in life. It must be understood that this will
allow an individual to always remain optimistic, and with enthusiasm much success
can be achieved. In addition, the willingness to learn through failure can help to
reach the desired destiny. Nearly everybody fears failing, because it has been
associated with all sorts of negativity. Although an optimistic look on the other side
of tripping or falling down in life can make someone to be successful in

Censorship the Freedom of the Internet? The government controls much of what
we can and can t do, and also how and when we do it. For instance taxes , we all
have to pay a certain amount to the government on a specific day where the IRS
and their officials can determine how much we have to pay. The state control our
cars through smog checks and how fast we can drive on the roads through tickets
and fines. When the government has all of this control over us, should we give
them more power? A power to control what is allowed to be posted or entered into
one of the greatest informational tools in the history of mankind? The answer is
simply no; they should not be allowed that power. In the wise words of Benjamin
Franklin those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they
deserve, either one If we give the government the power to censor the internet, we
have lost the right for freedom of speech, expression, and other ability s that we will
lose having big brother hold our hand as we navigate through the massive index

lives but it can also be a very dangerous thing if you are not careful. But the same
thing goes for every other tool such as a hammer or a nail gun. Everything just has

a restaurant to celebrate the Fourth of July. After dinner, John Jay, a prominent
lawyer gave a speech proposing that he and his compatriots decided to create a
national institution and gallery of art. In the next four years, they convinced
American civic leaders, art collectors, and philanthropists to support the project, and

32. April Raintree Analysis
The drunken Indian stereotype is a twisted perversion of the sad truth that many
Indigenous peoples in Canada, and all over the world, struggle with substance abuse
problems and alcoholism, as seen numerous times plaguing the family of the
protagonist of In Search of April Raintree, written by author Beatrice Culleton
Mosionier. Countless believe alcoholismamongst Indigenous peoplesis genetic, that it
is in their blood their nature, but this logic is hackneyed and highly inaccurate. For
starters, Canada s Indigenous population was not introduced to alcoholand its effects
until colonization. Years later, lacking proper and sufficient help to aid in healing the
scars left from trauma, many turned to substances. Nowadays, the scientific
community recognizes that alcoholism is something learned, not something one is
born with. Alcoholism amongst Indigenous peoples is not a genetic predisposition,
but rather a cultural influence taught over hundreds of years.
Before the European colonizers arrived in Canada, the Indigenous peoples of the land
did not have a brewing tradition, and had no prior experience with alcohol. Alcohol
was first introduced to the Indigenous peoples of Canada around the 17th century,
where it became a commonly traded commodity, in exchange for materials such as
fur. Consequently, the addition of alcohol also greatly changed the healthy diets of
the Indigenous peoples, who once relied on organic foods for sustenance, acquired

intimate than in any given story. Both write in first person, and both describe events
that somehow mirror their own lives; however, their narrative style differs in certain
ways that are critical to understanding their relationship to the imperialistic powers
they critique.
The most prominent difference between the two works is as simple as format.
Though both are written in first person, Hamid s The Reluctant Fundamentalist is
written as a dramatic monologue from a Pakistani man named Changez, and Shooting

In Hamid s novel, the protagonist Changez is speaking to an American stranger,
who contributes little to the story beyond suggestions of his feelings as observed
by Changez. This choice, like the one to have Changez narrate the novel, creates
an additional but distinct kind of distance for Hamid. Instead of delivering an
extended soliloquy, Changez is speaking directly to another person, which
suggests two things: first, that Changez must constantly be aware of others
reactions (particularly, an American s reaction) to what he s saying, and second,
that he might be slightly sugarcoating his views as a result. For example, as he
describes the 9/11 attacks in New York, Changez tells the American, I stared as one
and then the other of the twin towers of New York s World Trade Center collapses.
And then I smiled. Yes, despicable as it may sound, my initial reaction was to be
remarkably pleased. The phrase despicable as it may sound implies, to put it simply,
that Changez must be aware of how he sounds he is either reacting to an expression
or body movement from the stranger, or simply anticipating the stranger s reaction to
what he s said. The fact that Changez guesses that the American will find his
response to 9/11 despicable does not necessarily mean that Changez himself finds it
despicable; he is simply acknowledging the ardent,

WWI. In 1933, Adolf Hitler ascended to the position of Chancellor of Germany, and
thus began his conquest for power, domination, and genocide. His rise to power
can be characterized by his own cunning and charisma, his exploitation of the

In May 1921, the Reparation Commission established by the treaty determined

Illegal immigration defies the immigration rules of a designated country by ignoring
the right formalities of moving into that country. It requires immigrants to cross
international political borders throughout water, land, and air improperly. As these
immigrants enter the country they tend to relocate to California. Which cause s many
problems in Los Angeles, California, and the city government should do more to
handle the growing population of illegal immigrants. California is a popular
relocation destination for illegal immigrants. Zong states that about one million
illegal immigrants reside in Los Angeles, California, when they get there they use
fake or stolen social security numbers to get jobs (Zong) which takes away from
native Californians. This makes it harder for natives to find jobs which eventually

Communication...
Marshall McLuhan was a media and communication theorist and is considered the
first leading prophet of the electronic age but he was also the most controversial
and most talked about contemporary intellectuals. , he coined the phrase Medium
is the Message also know as Medium Theory. He was explaining the way in which
we absorb information from media, and how it isn t the information that affects us
but the way we absorb it. McLuhan said Indeed, it is only too typical that the
content of any medium blinds us to the character of the medium Medium Theory is
his most famous piece of work, Medium Theory was introduced in his 1964 book,
Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man . Which soon became known as the
bible of media studies. It is defined as the name assigned to a variety of approaches

The three main categories are medium as a vessel, medium as a language and
medium as a environment. Medium as a vessel refers to the idea That media are
more or less neutral containers for content . With reference to television, it doesn t
matter what the focus of the information presented is but rather that the television
brings across all information unbiased in the same demeanour. Medium as a language
reflect exactly what it sounds like, different mediums will express themselves in
different ways, with different slang or grammar to define the genre. With printed
mediums this could reflect in the format of the piece, the way in which something in

idea is derived from the concept that media has the ability to create and directly
influence our personal and individual experience within a mass population whether or
not we realise

What is murder? Murder is killing of another human being under conditions
specifically covered in law as you can see in doc. A. Can it be civilized? Is all
murder the same? I think it can be civilized and not all murder is the same, but it
also can be uncivilized. Was the Marshall Murdered that was in lost? Yes and no
because it was voluntary manslaughter because it was done in the heat of the
moment, doc. C when the plane crashed the U.S. Marshal Edwards Mars was
injured badly. There was a piece of shrapnel stuck in him and Jack the doctor
decided to remove it so that he might heal up and get back to normal. But it caused
him to get worse because the lack of supplies that were on the Island. Also the
other people that were on the land were getting mad because he was wasting all the
medicine on a dead man. The Marshal was begging to die but Jack wouldn t give
up so Sawyer decided to shoot him in the chest to kill him, but it just made the
suffering worse. So Jack went in the tent and strangled him to end his suffering.
The reason why i think that it was civilized is because it was hurting the others the

41. Compare And Contrast Jim Jones And Jesus Christ
Jim Jones and Jesus Christ, two names of two very known people, they share many
similarities. Yet only own of them is praised and the other is demonized. Even
comparing the two is almost forbidden, how could someone compare the savior of
mankind and a man who is responsible for the death of hundreds? Both managed to
gain a large following, had people who feared them, and they both made the ultimate
sacrifice. While they share many similarities they both are remembered very
differently. Jesus is known as the savior of all and he is celebrated furiously, while
Jim Jonesis demonized and only remembered for his cyanide kool aid. They both
went about their lives in different ways, while Jesus was a peacemaker who helped
others and sacrificed himself... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We hail Jesus Christ as the messiah and savior, and we lump Jim Jones with the rest
of the crazies. If you break everything down to the basics, Jesus and Jim Jones were
the same person. They both managed to gain a large following, had people who
feared them, and they both made the ultimate sacrifice. Somewhere along the lines
something happened, a fork in the road that changed the results. Because if history
had repeated itself, Jones too would be idolized and hailed as the savior of Jonestown.
But instead history played out in a different way, while Jesus will be remembered
for healing the sick and blessing the poor, Jim Jones will only be remembered for
handing cups of cyanide laced punch to his

Paul and Muhammad were two influential people who shaped the world civilization
through the development and spread of religion. It is worth mentioning that religion
played a great role in shaping civilization in the world. The two most important in
founding of the two greatest religions of the world were Paul and Muhammad.
Though it is undoubtedly that Christianityoriginated from the teachings of Jesus
Christ, it is worth mentioning that this religiontook definite shape as religion in the
hands of Apostle Paul (Barnett, 2005). Paul did not only propagate teachings of the
Lord with full sense of honesty and devotion, but as well added various important
ideas to Christianity. Mohammad on the other hand played the greatest role in
development of Islamas a religion (Jackson, 2007). This paper seeks to analyze and

In the Birth Mark the relationship between Aylmer and Georgianna should be

approaches towards their lifestyle. During their time period, they believed in
different beliefs. They had their own ways of solving problems. They believed in
different theories to get things done a certain way. During this time sciencewas the
only thing Aylmer relied on. Aylmer had an assistant named Aminadab who helped
him with various experiments trying to reach a perfection. As soon as Aylmer
spotted the birth mark on his wife face he focused all his energy towards fixing it.
Aylmer used science as his solution to problems, which was miracle to him (Robert).

the birth mark was an obsession nothing was getting in the way of stopping Aylmer.
Things were getting out of hand while dealing with this situation when it came to

interpretations. From reading the story, you can see that Aylmer is the decision

object towards her husband which her physical traits are the subjects. Aylmer use
these traits to make a statement about the flaws a man s view on a woman. Sooner

44. Persuasive Speech About Tattoos
We have all heard the saying you re going to hate that when you get older. Or why
are you going to pay somebody to permanently scar your body ? It is time to stop
spewing that tired rhetoric because not all people are bros who get tribal tattoos
when they are 18. Tattoos are a form of self expression that has no bounds, and it
has no protocol which makes its potential seemingly endless. Many people use this
form of art to remember a loved one, to express themselves, or just to have as a
badge of honor, and the list goes on and on. I remember the day like it was
yesterday and it s a horrific memory that will haunt me until the day that I no
longer exist on this earth. I was in the military serving in the Air Force in New
Jersey, so needless to say being from Georgia I didn t really get the chance to see
my family very often. So, one day I get a call from my from my father and he told
me he had news to tell me, which was kind of surprising since we spoke two or
three times a week on the phone. His voice dropped into a somber tone and he
echoed the words I will never forget, I have ALS . My heart stopped, I couldn t
believe what I was hearing, and I m no doctor but everybody hears the stories about
Lou Gehrig s disease and they know exactly what it entails, in short, it s a death
sentence with no cure. Over the next year, I spent as much time as I possibly could
taking trips to see my father and each time I laid eyes on him, his once strong,
muscular physique had withered away to a frail shell of himself. I knew what the
outcome was going to be, I think we all did, barring a miracle we knew it was
going to have a happy ending. The last time my father was able to come visit me in
New Jersey we had plans to go see a Braves game in Philadelphia. He was only
coming for a few days so I wanted to make his visit special, especially since his
disease had gotten to the point where he could no longer walk and was confined to
a wheelchair. I wanted him to know that he was always on my mind and that even
though I couldn t be there with him personally, I liked to think that I could have a
part of him with me everywhere I went. So, after talking with my step mom we came
up with the idea of me getting the same tattoomy

Essential Oils For Skin Rash
So you have a skin rash. You may not know why you have one but the skin is red,
itchy, and it hurts a bit. Medical websites, such as the one for the Mayo Clinic, state
that viruses, fungi, bacteria, parasites, heat and even some forms of medication may
cause skin rashes. There are also some fairly common skin diseases such as eczema,
psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and dermatitis that can result in a rash. There are many
natural essential oils that are tailor made for treating skin conditions. If you have a
skin rash you should look for essential oils that have antiseptic, anti viral, anti

46. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s Relationship
Macbeth by William Shakespeare shows the effect of greed/power on a
relationship. Is gaining power more important than a relationship? When Macbeth
usurps the throne as King of Scotland, he puts aside his relationships to carry out
his work as king, and his relationship with Lady Macbeth is, as a result, impacted.
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s relationship shifts somewhat and yet partly remains
the same when Macbeth is crowned king of Scotland. Macbeth s relationship
remains the same in that he shows Lady Macbeth respect and continues to use
words of love to call her by, but it shifts in that Macbeth becomes more independent
and does not confide his plans to Lady Macbeth as he had previously. Macbeth s
relationship with Lady Macbeth stays the same after he becomes king in that he
show her same respect that he did before becoming king. He uses words of love
when talking to her. Such tokens of love can be seen before Macbeth becomes king
when he writes the letter to Lady Macbeth that contains these words: This have I
thought good to deliver/Thee, my dearest partner of greatness... (I.v.10 11) Macbeth
writes a letter to his wife about the witches prophecies and uses the phrase, my
dearest partner of greatness, showing that he respects her and truly cares for her
wellbeing. This same reaction can be seen after Macbeth seizes the throne. When
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth express their unhappiness after becoming king and
queen, Macbeth says to his wife in a loving way, Be innocent
47. Olfaction And Brain Analysis
Olfaction is, by definition, the sense of smell. Olfaction and gustation, the sense of
taste, are closely related and complement each other. Because olfaction is controlled
by the limbic system in the brain it can invoke feelings, memories, and other
sensations. Although it is a primitive sense, and one needed for survival, it is
incredibly complex. For example, the brain analyzes over 300 odor molecules to
identify the smell of a rose. When humans smell things, there is a process in which
the brain interprets the molecules in order to understand what is being sensed. First,
vaporized odor particles, or chemicals, reach the nostrils and dissolve in the mucus
that lines each nostril and the olfactory hairs (cilia). Just the structure... Show more

There are 10,000 tastebuds on the surface of the tongue, cheeks, and soft palate
that help humans take in stimuli about what they are eating. These tastebuds are
responsible for interpreting six different types of information on food: sweet, sour,
salty, bitter, and savory (umami). Sweet food is an indication that the food is high
in sugar and its derivatives fructose or lactose. Sour food is mostly acidic and
includes things like lemon juice or organic acids. This sensation is caused by
hydrogen ions. Food containing table salt is perceived as salty, but presence of
potassium or magnesium can also cause a salty sensation. A bitter taste is a
response from the body that the food being consumed is poisonous and dangerous to
survival. Most bitter tastes come from poisonous plant roots. Lastly, the savory taste,
or umami taste, comes from amino acids such as glutamic acid or aspartic acid. High
amounts of glumatic acid can be found in cheese, ripe tomatoes, and meat. ( How

48. The Disappointment By Aphra Behn
Throughout The Disappointment , Aphra Behn critics the established gender roles
in the society particularly sexually. This can be seen in the relationship between
Lisander who is the male figure and Cloris who is the female one. In this poem,
Cloris can be seen as the object of desire while Lisander can be seen as the sexual
object which challenges the pre established roles in society. The first stanza reveals
a side of Lisander that shows that he does not have a complete control on his body.
Indeed, the fact that the author says One day the Amorous Lisander/By an impatient
Passion sway d (1 2). The use of the word sway d shows that the passion drives him
and controls him while it should be the opposite. This situation questions the male
identity because Lisander, as a cavalier and a man, should be strong and show no
weaknesses. Furthermore, the end of this stanza reveals that Lisander does need
Cloris to live in this world which shows that she, unconsciously, has power over
Lisander because he needs her. Behn writes that [Lisander] was now descending to
the Sea/And left no Light to guide the World/But what from Cloris brighter Eyes
was hurl d (8 10). There is an imagery there which the opposition between the fact
that Lisander has no light and Cloris has bright eyes. It shows that in their
relationship, the woman is needed and plays an important role. It has to be
remembered that, back in the days, women were dependant of men because of their
lower social status,

compiled anonymous lists of male perpetrators of sexual assault (rapists) and have

heads of male organizations. The informal release of this list was accompanied by
an unsigned letter demanding any individual on that list to be immediately and
permanently removed from all organization they are a part of. This list has been
compiled with complete anonymity, without any evidence presented. How these
names were selected is opaque, to say the least. In my experience, both before and

3.2 Selection of soluble silver salt for the mobile phase
Soluble silver salt in the mobile phase provided silver ion for the interactions with

been frequently used in silver ion chromatography. However, bitrate radical

alantolactone and isoalantolactone was also in the range of 190 to 240 nm as

Quantitative Approaches to Managerial Decision Making Professor Cavaness
December 3, 2017 Introduction In order to run a successful company, the company
will need to understand how much is being spent and how is the money being
utilized. When a company creates a financial statement, it allows investors and
stockholders to determine the company worth and what direction the company
maybe going. This will also allow company to see if they are gaining or losing
profits. In turn this will help companies to make better decision for the company.
Today we will look at the company Ross. I will create a financial analysis project
that will help my readers learn more about Ross. History of Ross Ross first came
on the seen in August of 1982. They bought out six department stores in the San
Francisco Bay area. A few years later in 1985 as matter of fact, Ross began to trade
publically. After their first fiscal year they reported making 534 million dollars. By
this time, Ross had 121 stores in 16 states. Wanting to focus on revamping
management, the slowed down on open more stores. By the end of 1989 Ross had

53. Coral Bleaching Marine Environment
The main impact that the earth is having on the marine environment is climate
change. Increasing the oceans temperature by 0.7 degrees Celsius.
What is the Impact of Coral Bleaching?
Coral bleaching is one of the visual effect of climate change. Caused by the stress put
on the coral because of the temperature of the water becoming warmer. This major
effect of climate change could lead to the death of the Coral. This has been especially
noticed on the Great Barrier Reef. Only recently the earth has witnessed severe coral
bleaching episodes all around the world.
What does stormy weather have to do with our oceans?
Scientist are beginning to believe that global warming has inflicted unpredictable
weather. Especially in tropical areas the heavier rainfall may result in physical
damage to the coral reefs, other coastal ecosystems and coastal communities.
How is climate change resulting in species moving to cooler places in the oceans? ...

Scientific studies have given evidence for this in the North Sea as fish have old

for example penguins Irving on the Antarctic Peninsula region may loose their
homes as a result of the sea ice reducing as a result of global warming. Not only the
penguins have issues with the reduction of sea ice but walrus too.
How can these alterations of the marine environment effect the lifestyles of animals?
The change in temperatures of the marine environment can affect the life cycle and
behaviours of the marine species. As many of the species rely on the temperature
change as a sign as reproduction. This could also effect their success in breading.
The result of climate change also has on effect of how may male and female
