2. Gary Russi served as president of Oakland
University for over 18 years before retiring in
2013. In addition to his role in expanding new
health care facilities and programs at the
university, Gary Russi served as a member of
the Crittenton Hospital Board of Trustees and
Corporate Board, where he worked to support
high-quality health care programs throughout
the Oakland, Macomb, and Lapeer
communities.

3. The Crittenton Foundation was established in 1965
to support community outreach programs and
pursue state-of-the-art treatments. Now in its 38th
year, the Annual Gourmet Gala invites donors to
enjoy the Detroit area’s finest restaurants, vintners,
and boutiques. The gala will also recognize
distinguished individuals and businesses that have
supported Crittenton Hospital’s ongoing efforts to
implement the latest advances in health care. In
addition to fine dining at the Royal Park Hotel, the
event will feature raffles for gift baskets and a wine-
themed trip for two, as well as live entertainment.
