It commemorates a 1621 feast shared between the English pilgrims and Wampanoag Native Americans in Plymouth, Massachusetts that is often considered one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in North America. Traditional Thanksgiving meals include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.
