Dear Mrs. Vannurden
In 10th
grade I got the news that I was going to be in this year’s AVID class, where you were introduced
as my teacher. By having you as my AVID teacher you showed me that doing well in school isn’t as hard
as it seems. You helped me to become more focused, organized and level headed when it came to my
education. Your understanding and compassionate personality made me feel like you actually cared if I
succeeded or not and it made me feel closer to you, than to any other teacher.
I know I can always count on you to help me and to show guidance to me through any challenges that
might trouble me in my lifetime. I hope when I see you again you will be proud to know that you were
the one who helped me through my high school years. You have impacted me greatly and I am more
than appreciative.
