Teacher Mentor Recommendation for Motivating and Compassionate Educator
1. To Whom This May Concern:
I am honored to write in support of Ms.Cedeno for the position as a teacher mentor. During my
four years as a student at South Broward High School from August 2004 to June 2008, Ms.Cedeno was a
teacher that inspired many students, including myself. Two adjectives that would describe Ms.Cedeno as
a teacher are motivating and compassionate.
As a student at South Broward High School, Ms.Cedeno motivated me to do my best in every
way possible. For example, making sure I was always on time to my classes by praising me when I
showed up early and doing well in them. If there is one thing that I will always remember her saying to me
it has to be that she was proud of me. By her saying that, she motivated and encouraged me to always do
my best in succeeding in my classes which I ended up doing.
Another attribute that would describe Ms. Cedeno would be that she is very compassionate.
Making sure her students were doing well in and out of the classroom was always a top concern for her.
Ms.Cedeno always took the time to make sure that I was not only doing well in my classes but also doing
well outside of school. She always took the time to listen, give advice, and know that she cared how I was
doing.
Without a doubt, I know for a fact Ms.Cedeno would thrive as a teacher mentor. I have the
confidence that she will excel at this position. I’ve had many teachers within my academic career and I
feel that she is definitely the best one that I’ve had. Being able to be mentored by Ms.Cedeno was an
extremely significant impact on my high school years, and I feel very fortunate that she was my teacher.
Sincerely,
Jaclyn Labell
