LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

Dear Clients
Seeking higher education and English language learning remain a popular trend for Thai students due to the
competitiveness of the job market in Thailand. When entering the job market, a person that is fluent in other language,
especially in English, is a considerable advantage. Thailand’s education market is dominated by a demand for post-graduate
programmes and English language courses abroad. This is closely followed by students seeking undergraduate and doctoral
options. The area of study in highest demand is Business (including MBA and other commerce related programmes).
United States is one of the most popular destinations for Thai students (in top two in student visa application number), with
its reputation for quality education, globally recognised qualifications, diversity of programs, cutting edge technology, and
opportunity to research, teaching and training.
Thai Student Profile
Generally speaking, the points below should be taken into consideration when taking part in events in Thailand:
The majority of Thai students will need to complete an English language course before commencing their academic
programme.
Most Thai students graduating from the Thai education system will need to complete a foundation course for entry onto
their undergraduate course.
For English language, price is the main consideration for Thai Students. For other programmes, the institution’s
reputation is a more significant factor when deciding on their overseas studies. Other factors, such as opportunity to
work and proximity to relatives are also considered.
Thai students are relatively independent when gathering information about education options however parents play a
critical role in the actual decision of where to go and what to study.
Many Thai students prefer to study in large, urban locations.
Since most Thai students will need to complete an English language course prior to their academic course, there will be a
high demand for packaged offers.
The timing of the IDP’s US & UK Education Fair on November 16, 2015 should allow sufficient time for prospective students
to complete their English language courses in time for 2016 academic programmes. Student will be encouraged to submit
application prior to or at this event.
We would like to encourage all institutions to participate in IDP US & UK Education Fair. We also encourage institutions to
contact IDP Thailand to discuss ways in which their business can be further developed in Thailand.
Thank you.

Benefits of the IDP Study in US & UK Education Fair for clients:
1) Improved conversion
The opportunity of promoting the benefits of your institution directly to the student, and the opportunity of providing letters of
offer on the day to pre-counselled students who have submitted an application, should contribute significantly to an improved
conversion rate.
2) Effective use of representative time
Meeting pre-counselled students in an allocated time session will allow for more individual and tailored counselling by the
representatives leading to better use of their time in-country on event day.
3) Qualified leads
The event will generate new qualified leads for the 2016 intakes.
4) Showcase for the United States Education
Continue to build your institution’s presence in a mature market which provides a good opportunity to recruit across the
entire educational spectrum, from pre-university to postgraduate. The event will also emphasise the reputation of the
institutions in the United States as high quality teaching and research destinations to both public and private employers, as
well as to professional bodies.
5) Be part of the student experience
Representatives will be able to engage directly with students and their families.
3
Programme Format
The format for this event will be an information session. Students will be screened and counselled by IDP counsellors prior to
meeting relevant institutional representatives. This will allow students time to speak directly to institutional representatives in
order to gain advice and information before applying.
Students and parents can enquire about eligibility and course curricular on an individual basis. It is anticipated that
representatives will be able to speak to parents and students within a time frame of 15 - 30 minutes.
For the convenience of institutional representatives, IDP Thailand staff will provide an application processing service.
Each participating institution will be provided with 1 table and 2 chairs.
Institutions are reminded to bring along their own display stands. Please note that no display boards will be provided for
institutions.
A post-event report will be provided to all participating institutions which should assist in a comprehensive evaluation of how
the event met the set objectives and expectations.
