2. The opening shot is an establishing shot, showing the band rolling up to an old South American town on mopeds. With them all in white suits and rolling up on mopeds, it makes them seem like they aren’t from there as they seem to have money (seeming as they have the mopeds). It also seems to be a fixed Point-of-view shot, as it is from the eyes of one of the band members looking at them. The Long shot of the band walking away from the appearing marching band after giving them their instruments seems to show the divide between them, as they walk away and how they are all in a line, showing it seems to the normal band and the marching band
3. This close up of the lead In the marching band shows a connection between the actual band and the band they’d given their instruments to, as it seems to flick from the lead on his moped, to the lead of the other band who are both singing the same song and appear to be singing in time This close up is good, because it has a focus pull slowly in the middle of it, starting at the man in the black suit and focusing to the lead singer, changing the subject of the shot to have full attention on the lead who is singing. It also shows (by starting with the man in the black suit) that the focus isn’t all on the lead.
4. This extreme close up shows the marching band playing the guitar, which also links the band to them, as the band (whose instruments they are and who originally play the song) are related through the fact that the marching band are now playing their song. This shot’s focus is focused on the man in the man in the middle playing, reflecting that they are a band together and the lead singer isn’t the only person. It shows all 3 of them together and playing in harmony.
5. This shot of all the marching band standing together shows their connection, as all of them are in rhythm as they tap and beat their shoes on the floor to the beat of the song. This shot of the band taking back their instruments, with the help of the light, makes both bands seem anonymous and equal, as both of them cant be properly seen and are silhouettes.
