Problem Statement : Ravi Kishan is a student of undergraduate college , He is finding difficulty in
studying in hostel .
Prototype I : A Room Study board .
A Bulletin board , something like smaller version of school notice board can be put on the
wall adjacent to the study wall . It will serve as a reminder to make us do our work on
time . And as well as planning the day routine . On bulletin board , many small stick notes
can be put up with the task to do like according to time and priority such as playing
football at 5 pm , studying between 8-9 pm , EXAM on Monday 20th and So on .
TESTING
I made a basic room study board for Ravi kishan using simple cardboard . And He crafted some stick
notes of various work to do and important things , because of it he was able to be more punctual to
his daily routine and studies .
Prototype II : A general and Most effective method :Group Studies
A group study is a way where students sit together and discuss topics of studies . And it can be effective
in making the concepts clear and solving the problems . Group study also encourages students to explain
things aloud. By speaking to and listening to others, students often improve on recall ability, or ability to
remember information on test day.
So some of the hostel mates sit together and can do group studies . I know it is obvious solution , but it is
very effective in solving the Ravi Kishan’s problem .
TESTING
Few class mates of Ravi were invited to his room and a topic was decided on which group study would
be done . After choosing the topic , they started systematically studying and in between they had good
discussion on tuff topics . It was very much they way it was planned
Reflection
The Motto of developing the prototype was to solve the problem faced by the stake
holder Ravi kishan , And the prototype did help him in making a favourable environment
for studies .
The testing of prototype helped me In understanding the problem faced in transforming
the idea in an working model or design . And helped the way how can we solve problems
of other and ours using a systematic approach taught by Design Lab
If I am continueing work on the project I would try to develop more efficient way to
solve the problem faced , and I want to try whether we can make a prototype to prevent
stakeholder away from gizmo’s distraction
