ABSTRAK
Nur Habibullah : Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru Agama
Dalam Pengembangan Karakter Siswa
Di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi
Masalah pokok dari penelitian ini adalah seharusnya guru memiliki
kepribadian mantab dan stabil, dewasa dan berwibawa namun guru masih ada
yang belum menerapkan sehingga guru belum optimal dalam pengembangan
karakter siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengapa
guru agama belum berkepribadian mantab dan stabil, kepribadian dewasa, dan
kepribadian berwibawa, dan mengapa guru belum optimal dalam melakukan
pengembangan karakter siswa. Fokus penelitian ini adalah tentang kompetensi
kepribadian guru dalam pengembangan karakter siswa. Peneliti hanya membahas
tentang kompetensi kepribadian guru yang meliputi kepribadian mantab dan
stabil, kepribadian dewasa, dan kepribadian berwibawa. Adapun manfaatnya yaitu
untuk memberikan kontribusi sebagai bahan masukan dan perbandingan kepada
guru agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas dirinya dalam rangka mengembangkan
karakter siswa.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian
kualitatif dengan tekhnik snawball sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu
observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tahap tekhnik analisis data meliputi
reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan
pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan perpanjangan keikutsertaan,
ketelitian pengamatan, triangulasi, dan melakukan konsultasi ke pembimbing.
Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah
berusaha berkepribadian mantab dan stabil yakni disiplin namun yang menjadi
penghambat adalah karena kesibukan guru diluar sekolah, letak sekolah dengan
rumahnya cukup jauh, dan jalanan terkadang ramai dan macet. Guru ada yang
mengurusi keluarga di rumah terlebih dahulu, guru terkadang disibukkan dengan
mempersiapkan pembelajaran dikelas, membuat RPP, silabus, sertifikasi dan juga
mengurus hal-hal lain yang dianggap penting untuk dirinya sendiri. Guru belum
bersikap dewasa dikarenakan guru kurang mendapatkan pelatihan, dan guru
kurang meluangkan waktu untuk mengembangkan dirinya. Guru belum
menampilkan kepribadian wibawa yakni kurangnya perhatian kepada siswa dan
lupa tugasnya sebagai guru.
Kesimpulannya adalah pengembangan karakter siswa terhambat oleh
faktor internal dan eksternal serta faktor psikologi anak remaja. Implikasinya
adalah Guru harus menyadari akan pentingnya disiplin dan akibat dari
pembiasaan prilaku kurang disiplin. Guru harus berusaha untuk terus melakukan
pengembangan diri secara terus menerus dengan kreatif dan berkelanjutan. Guru
harus memiliki prilaku yang disegani yakni di hormati peserta didik, dihormati
teman sejawat, dan di hormati oleh masyarakat dan menjadi teladan bagi peserta
didik.

Nur Habibullah : Islamic Teachers Personality Competence
in Developing Students Character at
Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi
The main problems of this research were the islamic teachers should have
stable personality, adult in personality, authoritative personality. But, the fact that,
some islamic teachers still no had discipline, adult in personality, the islamic
teacher hadn’t given positive behavior, with the result that the islamic teacher had
not developed students character optimum. The aims of this research were : why
had not the islamic teacher had stable personality, adult in personality, and
authoritative personality. Why had not the islamic teacher developed student
character optimum. The focus of this research was islamic teacher personality
competence in developing students character. The writer just disscuss about
islamic teacher personality competence, included stable personality, adult in
personality and authoritative personality. The significance of this research was
giving contribution as recomendation and comparison to the islamic teachers to
improve quality of themselves in developing student character.
The research approachment was using qualitative approach and snowball
sampling. The technique of collecting data of this research used observation,
interview, and documentation. Technique of data analyze included reduction of
data, presentation of data, and verification or making conclusion, whereas the
writer did triangulation of data by observation carefully, and doing consul to
advisor.
The result of this research showed that islamic teacher had done a great
effort to have stable personality, that was discipline, but other teacher activities,
school location, across disturbance being obstade. Some teachers hanled family
first before going to the school, making RPP, sylable, certification and also
handled another thing important. The islamic teacher had not had adult behavior
because less of training, and the teachers had a litle to develop themselves. The
teachers had not had authoritative personality that was positive attitude because
less of attention to the student and forgot their assigntment as teacher..
The conclusions of obstacle of student character building were internal,
external, and student pshycology factor. The implication was the islamic teacher
must show stable personality, that was discipline, islamic teacher must relize that
discipline is important. The islamic teacher should effort to develop themselves
continualy and creative. Islamic teacher should have autoritative personality, that
was having good behavior and authoritative to student, to their friend and to
school. More over the teacher should be an example to the student. The teacher
should develop student character.

  • 1. vii ABSTRAK Nur Habibullah : Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru Agama Dalam Pengembangan Karakter Siswa Di Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi Masalah pokok dari penelitian ini adalah seharusnya guru memiliki kepribadian mantab dan stabil, dewasa dan berwibawa namun guru masih ada yang belum menerapkan sehingga guru belum optimal dalam pengembangan karakter siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengapa guru agama belum berkepribadian mantab dan stabil, kepribadian dewasa, dan kepribadian berwibawa, dan mengapa guru belum optimal dalam melakukan pengembangan karakter siswa. Fokus penelitian ini adalah tentang kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam pengembangan karakter siswa. Peneliti hanya membahas tentang kompetensi kepribadian guru yang meliputi kepribadian mantab dan stabil, kepribadian dewasa, dan kepribadian berwibawa. Adapun manfaatnya yaitu untuk memberikan kontribusi sebagai bahan masukan dan perbandingan kepada guru agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas dirinya dalam rangka mengembangkan karakter siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan tekhnik snawball sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tahap tekhnik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan perpanjangan keikutsertaan, ketelitian pengamatan, triangulasi, dan melakukan konsultasi ke pembimbing. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru sudah berusaha berkepribadian mantab dan stabil yakni disiplin namun yang menjadi penghambat adalah karena kesibukan guru diluar sekolah, letak sekolah dengan rumahnya cukup jauh, dan jalanan terkadang ramai dan macet. Guru ada yang mengurusi keluarga di rumah terlebih dahulu, guru terkadang disibukkan dengan mempersiapkan pembelajaran dikelas, membuat RPP, silabus, sertifikasi dan juga mengurus hal-hal lain yang dianggap penting untuk dirinya sendiri. Guru belum bersikap dewasa dikarenakan guru kurang mendapatkan pelatihan, dan guru kurang meluangkan waktu untuk mengembangkan dirinya. Guru belum menampilkan kepribadian wibawa yakni kurangnya perhatian kepada siswa dan lupa tugasnya sebagai guru. Kesimpulannya adalah pengembangan karakter siswa terhambat oleh faktor internal dan eksternal serta faktor psikologi anak remaja. Implikasinya adalah Guru harus menyadari akan pentingnya disiplin dan akibat dari pembiasaan prilaku kurang disiplin. Guru harus berusaha untuk terus melakukan pengembangan diri secara terus menerus dengan kreatif dan berkelanjutan. Guru harus memiliki prilaku yang disegani yakni di hormati peserta didik, dihormati teman sejawat, dan di hormati oleh masyarakat dan menjadi teladan bagi peserta didik.   • 2. viii ABSTRACT Nur Habibullah : Islamic Teachers Personality Competence in Developing Students Character at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi The main problems of this research were the islamic teachers should have stable personality, adult in personality, authoritative personality. But, the fact that, some islamic teachers still no had discipline, adult in personality, the islamic teacher hadn’t given positive behavior, with the result that the islamic teacher had not developed students character optimum. The aims of this research were : why had not the islamic teacher had stable personality, adult in personality, and authoritative personality. Why had not the islamic teacher developed student character optimum. The focus of this research was islamic teacher personality competence in developing students character. The writer just disscuss about islamic teacher personality competence, included stable personality, adult in personality and authoritative personality. The significance of this research was giving contribution as recomendation and comparison to the islamic teachers to improve quality of themselves in developing student character. The research approachment was using qualitative approach and snowball sampling. The technique of collecting data of this research used observation, interview, and documentation. Technique of data analyze included reduction of data, presentation of data, and verification or making conclusion, whereas the writer did triangulation of data by observation carefully, and doing consul to advisor. The result of this research showed that islamic teacher had done a great effort to have stable personality, that was discipline, but other teacher activities, school location, across disturbance being obstade. Some teachers hanled family first before going to the school, making RPP, sylable, certification and also handled another thing important. The islamic teacher had not had adult behavior because less of training, and the teachers had a litle to develop themselves. The teachers had not had authoritative personality that was positive attitude because less of attention to the student and forgot their assigntment as teacher.. The conclusions of obstacle of student character building were internal, external, and student pshycology factor. The implication was the islamic teacher must show stable personality, that was discipline, islamic teacher must relize that discipline is important. The islamic teacher should effort to develop themselves continualy and creative. Islamic teacher should have autoritative personality, that was having good behavior and authoritative to student, to their friend and to school.
