PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
 Every behaviour or action has its own principles.
 The principles underlying all educational behaviour
are derived from philosophy of education.
 It is only through a philosophy of education that one
determines the curriculum, the textbooks, the
methods of teaching, methods and standards of
evaluation, the methods of maintaining discipline, etc.
 Provides the teacher with basis for making his decision
concerning his work.
 Help the teacher develop a wide range of interest,
attitudes, and values concomitant to his professional
life as teacher.
 Makes a teacher more aware of his own life and work,
and makes him more dynamic, discriminating, critical
and mentally alert.
 Philosophy of education saves time, money and effort.
 Each student has a separate identity, he
learns in his own unique way.
 Within every child is a need to be love,
respected, and shown acts of kindness in
order to unfasten and nurture the treasures
and gifts placed in them.
 Purpose of education is to train and prepare
individuals with the skills and tools
necessary to pursue their dreams.
 Authenticity is extremely important for me
as a teacher. Being genuine and modeling
trust can significantly help establish a
successful learning environment.
 Flexibility to transition in roles like
facilitator, instructor, coach, consultant,
counselor, and mentor effectively contribute
to students learning.
 Education should be a means to equip
learners on developing their minds so that
they can become productive citizens in an
ever growing and changing society.
 I want to leave children with a desire to
persistently ask questions thereby
continually seek more knowledge.
 Curriculum should be based around
activities that stimulate the intellect,
develop critical thinking skills, as well as,
develop morals, values, self-realization,
responsibility, and self-control.
Taking regular feedback from
students is not only good in
assessing students but it also gives
me significant information on the
teaching strategies that I am using.
 I love teaching and that’s the very important
part to make your teaching effective. I enjoy
as I have the opportunity of interacting with
the students and to be the part of their lives,
it seems good to observe them grow
intellectually, socially and physically. I feel
privileged to have some impact on the lives
of children.

  • 2.  Every behaviour or action has its own principles.  The principles underlying all educational behaviour are derived from philosophy of education.  It is only through a philosophy of education that one determines the curriculum, the textbooks, the methods of teaching, methods and standards of evaluation, the methods of maintaining discipline, etc.
  • 3.  Provides the teacher with basis for making his decision concerning his work.  Help the teacher develop a wide range of interest, attitudes, and values concomitant to his professional life as teacher.  Makes a teacher more aware of his own life and work, and makes him more dynamic, discriminating, critical and mentally alert.  Philosophy of education saves time, money and effort.
  • 4.  Each student has a separate identity, he learns in his own unique way.  Within every child is a need to be love, respected, and shown acts of kindness in order to unfasten and nurture the treasures and gifts placed in them.
  • 5.  Purpose of education is to train and prepare individuals with the skills and tools necessary to pursue their dreams.  Authenticity is extremely important for me as a teacher. Being genuine and modeling trust can significantly help establish a successful learning environment.
  • 6.  Flexibility to transition in roles like facilitator, instructor, coach, consultant, counselor, and mentor effectively contribute to students learning.  Education should be a means to equip learners on developing their minds so that they can become productive citizens in an ever growing and changing society.
  • 7.  I want to leave children with a desire to persistently ask questions thereby continually seek more knowledge.  Curriculum should be based around activities that stimulate the intellect, develop critical thinking skills, as well as, develop morals, values, self-realization, responsibility, and self-control.
  • 8. Taking regular feedback from students is not only good in assessing students but it also gives me significant information on the teaching strategies that I am using.
  • 9.  I love teaching and that’s the very important part to make your teaching effective. I enjoy as I have the opportunity of interacting with the students and to be the part of their lives, it seems good to observe them grow intellectually, socially and physically. I feel privileged to have some impact on the lives of children.
