This document provides information about 15 different animal species found in temperate forests: - White-tailed deer, squirrels, mallard ducks, black bears, foxes, bald eagles, turkeys, raccoons, beavers, cardinals, rabbits, muskrats, skunks, weasels are described along with some key facts about their physical characteristics, habitat, diet and behaviors. - These animals occupy a variety of niches in temperate forests and surrounding areas, with some being herbivores, carnivores or omnivores, and playing important roles in the forest ecosystem.
