Personal Reference for Samantha Richardson
Dear Sir/Madam,
I had the pleasure of recruiting Samantha for a Project Management role in Telstra in
September 2013.
Samantha was brought into my PMO to provide direction and structure to critical work items that
resolve customer impacting issues. The PM’s in my team work with a large base of IT
specialists in defining and delivering solutions for Telstra’s Media business.
Samantha was given my highest priority project straight from day one. Frankly I was unsure
whether it could be completed given the complexity of the stake holder management required.
Not only did Samantha achieve the outcomes, she quickly established herself as a genuine
talent in getting people together to deliver outcomes on time and on budget. I had a great deal
of feedback from happy stakeholders, which doesn’t come lightly in this business.
She also went on to deliver a workflow management tool for our internal tracking needs. This
required her to perform a more business focused role ensuring an outcome with a vendor
software solution, where internal and external customer’s needs are translated into reality
through a tracking and reporting tool. Samantha did an excellent job in delivering the business
needs on time, on budget and in a working state (this project followed an agile methodology).
Samantha has all the attributes I needed for driving IT initiatives, whether it is at the business
end in managing requirements right through to the deployment management of solutions.
Samantha has proven her credentials to me in a short space of time, and from my experience it
takes significantly longer for new starters to achieve similar outcomes. I would rank her as the
best PM I have hired.
I have no hesitation in supporting Samantha’s character and work ethic as being of the highest
standard, underpinned by values of honesty, integrity and hard work.
