The document discusses the telecom sector in India. It provides an introduction to telecom and defines the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), whose role is to regulate the telecom industry. It then discusses the telecom sector's large contribution to the Indian economy in terms of tele-density and market share. A comparison is made between telecom and other sectors. Finally, SWOT analyses are provided for three major telecom companies (Airtel, Idea, Jio), and the future of the Indian telecom industry is discussed, including expectations for growth in internet users and emerging technologies like 5G.
In this presentation I have explained about telecommunication in India.

Industry Analysis on Telecom Industry
In early 1881, Oriental Telephone Company Limited of England opened telephone exchanges at Calcutta (Kolkata), Bombay (Mumbai), Madras (Chennai) and Ahmedabad.
On the 28th January 1882 the first formal telephone service was established with a total of 93 subscribers.
From the year 1902 India drastically changes from cable telegraph to wireless telegraph, radio telegraph, radio telephone, trunk dialing.
In the year 1975 Department of Telecom (DoT) was responsible for telecom services in entire country after separation from Indian Post & Telecommunication.

Micro economic study of Indian telecom industryDipankar Mishra
The Indian mobile subscriber base is likely to sustain the rapid growth recorded in the past few years. Presence of skilled labour pool, improving telecom infrastructure, favourable demographics, rising disposable incomes of consumers, declining tariffs, increasing demand, growing attraction for mobiles with new features and greater availability of handsets at lower prices, are expected to continue driving the growth of the telecom sector, going forward.
However, the companies are likely to encounter a more challenging business environment in the near future, given the sustained fall in ARPUs, rapidly increasing competition and consequent pressure on margins and regulatory risks. Companies with good rural coverage, better operational efficiency, and superior quality of service are likely to stay ahead of competitors.
The industry will also witness the mergers of relatively smaller companies with the big players. Only big three or four players will dominate the market and direct price war may stop and Industry will agree on a standard pricing and competition will on the services and offerings.
This Presentation is all about Environmental Analysis of a Telecom Company. I have included both the factors i.e. Micro and Macro Environment. I have taken a example of Vodafone Company in the slides.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
The Art of the Pitch: WordPress Relationships and SalesLaura Byrne

and 3,400 MHz to promote initiatives like Internet of Things (IoT),
machine-to-machine communications, instant high definition video
transfer as well as its Smart Cities initiative.
• The Indian mobile phone industry expects that the GOI's boost
to production of battery chargers will result in setting up of 365
factories, thereby generating 800,000 jobs by 2025.
16. CONT….
• India’s telecom sector is going through a period of stress
owing to growing losses and rising debt, amid heightened
competition due to the disruptive entry of Reliance Jio.
• Jio’s plans led to a tariff war between incumbent carriers
including Bharti Airtel ,Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, with
Jio, which resulted in free voice calls for customers coupled
with dollops of free data, but eroded revenue for the older
carriers.
