- 6. He uses examples the audience is familiar with to grab their attention and support his topics.
- 7. I rate Kirbys dynamism a 4 out of 5. His speech was very well organized and presented. But at times I think he was somewhat dull, and monotone. He could enhance this with some humor, or excited tones of voice or self character.
- 9. His slides are simple, like Reynolds recommends, and although they sometimes contain too much information for one slide, they are clear, concise and emphasize his points.
- 10. I learned that having a strong opening is vital. Being clear and to the point is also very important. You should aim to leave your audience with something to think about.
- 11. Like Sir Ken Robinson, Kirby talks about breaking our old ways of doing things. They are no longer applicable, and often counter act what they are intended to do.
- 12. I would simply advise my classmates to follow the TED commandments. Watching these videos, and speakers are great examples of how a professional presentation should be. Learn from the things you enjoy, and improve on the things you think you can do better.
- 14. Use bold fonts that are easy to read. Refrain from using more than 3 different fonts per slide.
