1) Is technology the critical driver of globalization?
2) What is the nature of this arguement conceived by: liberlism, mercantilism, and marxism?
Solution
Technological developments are considered as the main facilitator and also driving force of most of the globalization processes.
Technology is defined as the socialized knowledge of producing goods and services. We could describe the term technology with five important elements: production, knowledge, instruments, possession and change. The definition of technology as a socialized knowledge can be conceived better with these elements. We shall look through them:
Technology has something to do with production (of the goods and services). We need technology to produce something either goods (ex: television set, cars etc.) or service (ex: security, teaching etc.) Technology enhances our capacity to produce.
Technology has a relationship with knowledge . Technology is an outcome of intellectual activities. Therefore technology is a type of an intellectual property. Nowadays technology is developed through research and development institutions as integral parts of several universities.
Technology has a connect with with instruments . Instruments are considered the extensions of the human body, whenever an instrument is used there is technology involved. The instruments show the usage of technology by human beings. Instruments are mostly physical like computers, vacuum cleaners, but sometimes there are immaterial instruments like databases in computer programming.
Technology has to do with possession . Those people that possess technology also control it. Controlling technology has something to do with economics and politics. Thus, we speak of technologically rich and poor countries as well as the struggle among them usually in the forms of patents, transfers and protection of intellectual rights.
Technology has to do with change . Due to technology, the world has changed drastically. Many of the innovations from the technological advances have important effects on lives of peoples of the world, that has witnessed radical changes more so after 1960

EXAMINE THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN FOSTERING THE GLOBALIZATIONSheryl Mehra
Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology.
Implications of science and technology on law and society (Vaibhav Goyal)Vaibhav Goyal
Extolling the virtues of technology though is not very difficult yet its baneful effect on the legal norms has been unfortunate. Technology demands more, not less, human work to function. In controlling the catastrophic problems we are exposing ourselves to even more elusive chronic ones that are even harder to address our safety demands more and more vigilance.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

2. Globalization
Globalization refers to the increasing integration of nations through trade,
investment, transfer of technology, and exchange of ideas and culture.
In a narrow sense, it represents an accelerating integration and interweaving of
national economies through the growing flows of trade, investment, and capital
across historical borders.
Broadly, those flows include technology, skills and culture, ideas, news,
information, and entertainment—and, of course, people.
Global interdependency affects engineering and engineers in many ways, including
the Internet and the environmental. In this discussion we are going to emphasize
issues concerning multinational corporations.
3. Multinational Corporations
Multinational corporations conduct extensive business in more than one country.
They usually operate from a home country and do business in other countries (host)
specially in the third world.
The benefits to multinational companies of doing business in less economically
developed countries are inexpensive labor, availability of natural resources,
favorable tax arrangements, and fresh markets for products.
The benefits to the participants in developing countries are new jobs, jobs with
higher pay and greater challenge, transfer of advanced technology, and an array of
social benefits from sharing wealth.
Question comes to mind
What are the moral responsibilities of corporations and individuals operating in less
economically developed countries?
4. Technology Transfer
Technology transfer, also called transfer of technology, is the process of transferring
technology from the person or organization that owns or holds it to another person or
organization.
Technology includes both hardware (machines and installations) and technique (technical,
organizational, and managerial skills and procedures).
The technology transfer may be within a country where the technology is already used
elsewhere, or a foreign country, which is our present interest.
A variety of agents may conduct the transfer of technology: governments, universities,
private volunteer organizations (such as Engineers Without Borders), consulting firms, and
multinational corporations.
The expression appropriate technology is widely used in technology transfer in a
variety of meanings.
5. Appropriate Technology
In a generic sense it refers to identification, transfer, and implementation of the most
suitable technology for a new set of conditions.
The conditions include social factors that go beyond routine economic and technical
engineering constraints.
According to Peter Heller, “appropriateness may be scrutinized in terms of scale,
technical and managerial skills, materials/energy (assured availability of supply at
reasonable cost), physical environment (temperature, humidity, atmosphere, salinity,
water availability, etc.), capital opportunity costs (to be commensurate with
benefits), but especially human values (acceptability of the end-product by the
intended users in light of their institutions, traditions, beliefs, taboos, and what they
consider the good life)”
Examples include the introduction of agricultural machines and long-distance
telephones.
6. Appropriate Technology
Appropriate technology implies that
Technology should contribute to sustainable development of the host country by
providing for careful stewardship of its natural resources and not degrading the
environment beyond its carrying capacity.
Technology should not be used to replace large numbers of individually tended
small fields by large plantations to grow crops for export, leaving most of the
erstwhile farmers jobless and without a source of home grown food.
In conclusion we can say that appropriate technology is a generic concept that
applies to all attempts to emphasize wider social factors when transferring
technologies.
7. International Rights
Thomas Donaldson formulates a list of International rights human rights as follows:
1. The right to freedom of physical movement.
2. The right to ownership of property.
3. The right to freedom from torture.
4. The right to a fair trial.
5. The right to nondiscriminatory treatment (freedom from discrimination on the
basis of such characteristics as race or sex).
6. The right to physical security.
7. The right to freedom of speech and association.
8. The right to minimal education.
9. The right to political participation.
10. The right to subsistence.
