Photoshop is an important tool for creating attractive publications according to the author. It allows for non-destructive editing and has many image effects that can make products look professional. The author also discusses using Pages software to layout their magazine pages in an organized manner. 2. PHOTOSHOP Without Photoshop my magazine would almost be invalid and I’d have to had made it on something like Paint or Microsoft word. Photoshop plays a very important part in this day and age, all the big named photographers, publishers etc use photoshop to their product more attractive, saying this not everyone uses photoshop to make things perfect bas it is expensive and can be time consuming. What I like most about using photoshop is that when u create something, like a collage of images etc they don’t automatically merge into one layer or one piece of art, which also you to erase any silly mistakes effectively without having to press back up millions of times. Among other things I think that an advantage of using photoshop is that the tool box/bar is big and has a lot of tools in it, which are all useful for making your product as perfect as possible. What I like most about it is that there are many image effects which when used can make your image/product look very professional. Pages is another program featured on Mac computers. Its is similar to Microsoft documents but has many more features or ways of presenting a piece of writing. I used this software when creating my double page spread, I found that my paragraphs were easy to maneuver and ‘pages’ slotted my article into 4 neat columns making it look professional.

Making my blog itself look dynamic Slide share is so easy to use all you have to do is log in, and upload a previously made PowerPoint to the website and it will turn it into a slideshow, that can be used on many sights such as facebook, myspace Blogger etc. Although the site is called ‘slide’ there are a number of things that you can do form transforming your pictures into animations, adding speech marks and thought bubbles making your images speak for themselves rather than writing paragraphs upon paragraphs about them. Slide Share is a simple way of presenting images or slides shows. It automatically makes it look more attractive and less boring to read. The fact that everything is on a slide means that you have to write less, and skip to the point where as, if you were writing a normal post on your blog you would write more to full up space. Flickr is a good sight to use because you can make your slide shows really fast on it and can have many different transitions from slide to slide. However, every time I posted a slideshow on my blog that I had made using flickr it would disappear leaving a blank post.

4. There are different font faces for upper case letters and lower case letters. My media teacher introduced us to a site called ‘Da font’, this was a site dedicated to arty/fancy fonts. I usually stuck to using the ‘Microsoft word’ fonts which are boring and don’t compare to the fonts that you would find on this site. I used this site to find the font for my Masthead and the over all font for my magazine. There are also symbols which represent letter for example the letter ‘P’ being a Reindeer.>>
