action, or pose of the subject. It contains a

results of the essence of the subject.

45. Step 1: ANALYZE the story given by the writer. VISUALIZE the
illustrations for each scene
Handa na sina Linda at Lindo sa Lindol
Sina Linda at Lindo ay kambal na anak nina Mang Orlando at Aling
Erlinda. Kapwa sila matanong. Lagi silang may tanong sa
maraming mga bagay.
Isang araw sa kanilang paglalaro sa plasa, nakakita sila ng mga
bitak sa daan.
“Tatay, bakit po may bitak ang daan?” tanong ni Lindo.
“Nakakatakot naman po Nanay,” dagdag ni Linda.
“Nagkakaroon kasi ng mga paggalaw sa ilalim ng lupa kaya
nagkakabitak ang mga daan at ilang mga gusali,” tugon ng
kanilang ama.

46. Hanggang sa pag-uwi ay nagtatanong pa rin ang kambal.
“Lindol po ba ang tawag dun?” tanong ni Linda. “Ano pa po
ba ang puedeng mangyari kung may lindol?” sunod na
tanong ni Lindo.
“Oo anak, lindol nga.” sagot ng ina. “Ang lindol ay
nakasisira ng mga bahay, gusali at mga ari-arian. Sa oras
ng lindol, maaaring masaktan ang tao o mas malala,
magdulot ng kamatayan kung walang sapat at tamang
paghahanda,” paliwanag ng ama.

47. “Nakakatakot po pala talaga Inay.” sabi ni Linda. “Tama anak. Dahil
ang lindol ay darating anumang oras na hindi natin inaasahan kaya
dapat lagi tayong handa.” sabi ng kanyang ina.
“Ano po ang dapat gawin kapag may lindol?” tanong ni Lindo.
“Dapat ninyong matutuhan ang Duck, Cover and Hold. Sa oras na
maramdaman ang lindol, humanap ng lugar na maaaring pagtaguan
gaya ng ilallim ng mesa, kumuha ng matigas na bagay na maaring
ilagay sa ulo para sanggalang sa anumang babagsak na bagay, at
humanap ng matibay na makakapitan habang yumayanig ang lupa.
Lumabas lamang kung wala ng pagyanig,” paliwanag ni Tatay
Orlando

“Dapat din tayong maghanda ng Emergency Bag. Laman nito ang
inumin, biscuit, flashlight, first aid kit, pito, mga gamot, at iba pang
mga bagay na kakailanganin sa oras ng kagipitan,” dagdag ni
Nanay Erlinda.
“Pero siempre, dasal natin na kahit kailan ay di natin iyon
magamit,” ani Mang Orlando. “Mga anak, tandaan ninyo ang mga
tinuro namin sa inyo,” dagdag niya.
“Opo Tatay.” sambit ng kambal. “Para sa aming kaligtasan,
kailangan naming isapuso ang inyong mga bilin,” dagdag pa nila.
