 Ensure machine operates efficiently
 Troubleshoot and repair plant and machinery
 Reduce production downtime through scheduled maintenance of production equipment
 Detect faulty operations, defective material use, repair and report to Manager
 Comply and maintain safety regulations

 Excellent technical skills
 Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
 High safety orientation
 Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
1.3 Experience
 3 years post apprenticeship
 Work experience within the tobacco industry a distinct advantage
1.4 Professional Qualification
 Class 1 journeyman

3.1 Key Roles
 Ensure that manufacturing process remains efficient through monitoring employees and organizing workflows
 Maximise productivity while minimizing cost; produce products of high quality in a profitable manner
 Check production output according to targets
 Manage and report on performance and progress
3.2 Key Skills & Attributes
 Self and results driven
 Excellent communication and supervisory skills
 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
 High analytical and problem solving skills
3.3 Experience
 Class 1 journeyman
 3 years within same role
 Work experience within the tobacco industry a distinct advantage

 Technical/ Engineering certificate/ diploma
