This document summarizes different types of technical computer systems: desktop computers which can be upgraded and are used for tasks like word processing; laptops which are portable but slower than desktops; tablets which are larger than phones and use touchscreens instead of keyboards; games consoles for entertainment purposes with high-powered processors; mobile devices which are primarily for communication and have internet connectivity; and PDAs which are simple electronic organizers not meant for complex tasks.

2. Desktop computer
A desktop computer is
used to perform tasks
using software, most
computers are used for
word processing, spread
sheets, presentation’s
and numerical tasks. Its
very easy to upgrade
giving it a better spec.

3. Laptop computer
A laptop does all the
tasks as a desktop
computer but it is
portable, but tend to be
a bit slower. It has
integrated components
on the mother board.

4. Tablet
A tablet is a mobile
computer but larger than
a mobile phone or PDA
but not as big as a laptop.
They often use a touch
screen primarily to a
physical key board.
Tablets also have
integrated components.

5. Games console
The purpose of a games
console is for personal
entertainment such as:
listening to music,
watching videos and
playing games. They
usually have higher bit
processors than a
computer.

6. Mobile
A mobile device is mostly
a communications device
and some have instant
messengers, but more
modern devices can be
used to play games and
perform simple
computing tasks. They
can use 3G and 4G.

7. (PDA)-Personal Digital
Assistant
A PDA is usually just a
electronic organiser
used to simplify the
users life. They are not
designed to perform
computing tasks . They
use mobile network
and use 3G to connect
to web servers.
