- 4. 4 The NCBTS isan integrated theoretical framework that defines the different dimensions of effective teaching.
- 5. 5 Teacher Education Institution meansa college or university engaged in teacher preparation and accredited by the state board of education or a state-authorized agency of the state in which the institution is located.
- 6. 6 The DepEd onthe other hand, sets the guidelines and policies specific only for both BSEd and BEEd program on student teaching or teaching internship curriculum. In other words, DepEd has no direct mandate over the Bachelor of Arts program’s teaching curriculum; it is CHED that evaluates its program.
- 7. 7 After finishing theteaching certificate course for 18 units of professional teaching courses, they should take and pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
- 8. 8 The recruitment, selection,and placement (RSP) system is a core component of the overall strategic Human Resource Management system of the Department of Education, ensuring that the organization and its manpower are able to respond to challenges and opportunities of the 21st century with focus on the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant, and liberating basic education. This system includes policies and processes on application, evaluation, selection, and appointment for Teaching Positions pursuant to the 1987 Constitution, the Administrative Code of 1987, and Civil Service rules and regulations.
- 9. 9 The DepEd OrderNo.43,S.2017 –TEACHER INDUCTION PROGRAM POLICY In line with the Teacher Induction Program (TIP) for the newly hired teachers, the Department of Education (DepED), through the Teacher Education Council (TEC), issues the enclosed Teacher Induction Program Policy on the implementation of the TIP.

- 12. 12 The Department ofEducation (DepEd) formulates, implements, and coordinates policies, plans, programs and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions.
- 13. 13 The Commission ofHigher Education(CHED) monitors, evaluates and sets all the programs/curriculums and the performance of all higher learning institutions.
- 14. 14 The Professional Regulation Commission(PRC)administers, implements and enforces the regulatory laws and policies of the country with respect to the regulation and licensing of the various professions and occupations under its jurisdiction, including maintenance of professional and occupational standards and ethics.

The CHED andDepED released a joint memorandum order no. 39 of 2005 in which it stated some “guidelines on the deployment of student teachers”, and the responsibilities of student-teachers (DepEd memo 39, 2005). The CHED memorandum order no. 30 of 2004 or the “revised policies and standards for undergraduate teacher education curriculum” was also attached in the joint memorandum. This CHED memorandum order detailed the program specifications of the degrees Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd). This was addressed to the higher education institutions in the country to revisit their teacher education programs.

- #3 What is TEDP? Is the teacher master plan to bridge the growing gap between the needs and expectations of learners and the knowledge and skill levels of both new and existing teachers. Agencies working hand in hand for the good of the teaching profession are DepEd, CHED, PRC, CSC and TEIs. TEDP conceptualizes a teacher’s career path a continuum that starts with the entry to a teacher education program and concludes when a teacher reaches retirement from formal service.
- #5 This will standardize the definition of what effective teaching is. It provides a better guide for all teacher development programs and projects from school level up to the national level. Various institutions use the NCBTS in their roles to maintain quality education through effective teaching and learning.

For example: The University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) is a public university here in the Philippines located in UEP Town, Catarman Northern Samar is offering various degree programs and courses. If anyone is aspiring to become a teacher, he/she shall get a teacher education course or training ground program which will equips him with techniques and modern pedagogy strategies that helps him/her to better connect with, manage, and teach to his/her future students in a manner which ensures that all students are learning and benefitting. -The major significance of teacher education is focused upon the impartment of training, with main purpose of achieving the desired academic outcomes. Anyone who get an education course have an important role to play in leading to effective growth and development of the students. - #10 DepEd fully supports the continuing development and progress of the newly hired teachers based on the principle of lifelong learning and the Department’s commitment to the development of new and beginning teachers. -Teacher Induction is a professional development program that incorporates mentoring and is designed to offer support, guidance , and orientation into the first teaching jobs. These programs helps teacher through their first year of teaching by supporting ongoing dialogue and collaboration among teachers, which accelerates the beginning teachers’ effectiveness and increases student achievement.
- #11 Organizations and agencies that provide In-Service education for Teachers (INSET) shall refer to it to develop the intervention they desire. There is no doubt that in-service education will continue to fill the missing lings created by the changing society between pre-service education and teacher’s effectiveness in the world of work.

To be able to enter in teacher education, one must have the first part of educational system which is the primary education- that includes first six years compulsory education from grades 1-6, and second part of educational system is the secondary education.A basic education that comprises four (4) grades/year.
