This 163-acre municipal park in Marana, Arizona includes a demonstration farm, equine facilities, water features, and trails. A 27,000 gallon rainwater harvesting system was installed to provide irrigation and fire suppression for the park. Rainwater is collected from a 21 foot diameter stainless steel roof into an underground concrete cistern and distributed through the park via gravity flow for irrigation. The system was designed by TBK Environmental Design and installed by Skywater to make use of the average 14.9 inches of annual rainfall in a sustainable way.
